What can I say. We are here at least twice a month to stock up on the things that you can find here. My particular favorite is the old red Mill brand of organic granola flours and soup mixes. The prices for these items are very very good. We also tend to grab batteries here as well as things for the kitchen and bathroom. While it is not like shopping at a regular department store who cares? sometimes you have to wait on line and sometimes the other customers can be kind of annoying. But hey we all love a bargain!

I love this store. Always find something that I need and even when I dont need it. Great for decorating house, man stuff, outdoor stuff, toys, furniture, food, electronics etc. Every time I go its a new adventure. I never know what I’m gonna find. It constantly changes and I love that about this store but sometimes you find something you like and next time they dont have it. So when you see it buy it bc they might not have it next time. So many great deals on everything. They even have a discount card bonus.

Don’t know what possessed me to stop into Big Lots while out for groceries, but I’m so glad I did! I couldn’t believe the amount of discounted organic food(granola, tons of Bob’s Red Mill, tea, dried fruit, cereal) they had on the shelves. Found my favorite sunflower seeds, and Ocean Prince kippers, which I can’t find anywhere else ^_^. They also had a huge variety of cheap, interesting looking coffees that I’ve got to try next time. And there *will* be another trip because I didn’t have time to go beyond the first 6 or so food aisles! I knocked off one star for the somewhat cluttered shelves. A lot of the bagged food looked like it was just thrown onto the shelves, so you kind of have to dig around to see what they have.

This is my base store. I branch out from Big Lots but I hit Big Lots religiously. I really like that big Geyser water for $ 1 altho dollar stores have it but they do have kooky closeout things that I really crave. Their prices are the same as Walmart but its not as overwhelming. Its like a min-Walmart I guess. I get a lot of European items that I really love and dont see anywhere else. Those Italian cookies with the nutella inside. unbelievable. and all the random houseware things that you know you dont need another one but its dirt cheap and you want it. And then go next door for the hibachi buffet… the Buffalo Big Lots is huge and very interesting but this is my homebase altho when I am on the road I google Big Lots everywhere and must go. I got a crazy little pink Dirt Devil dustbuster=ish thing that I love! It was $ 10 in a NC Big Lots. who knew?

Oh Big Lots. I’m so glad I found you! I stopped by here with the BFF to look for plastic drawers and to find things for my soon to be new apartment and I am SO glad I did. I found what I needed and a bit more. You definitely find random things here and there, but that’s cool. I’ll come back :)
