I come here off and on for my son. The last haircut he received was awful. I didn’t want to give a bad review based on one stylist. We showed her a trendy men’s cut. No fade, all the way up, long on the top, brushed back. She took it upon herself to shave it to his «natural part» and his natural part is about half way on his eyebrow. wtf. He is not in a sci-​fi movie. Nothing like the picture. Besides that she kept having to ask the stylist behind her on what to do next. This is NOT beauty school, and he is not your guinea pig. Fine. 1^st time. Whatever. But we came in today with an appointment, unluckily, she came back from her lunch and we got her again. We were optimistic, but again, she had NO CLUE what to do. Some advise… just give us to the next person and say you are not comfortable with doing something that’s not the basic norm and STOP WASTING OUR TIME AND MONEY. We would be happier waiting for someone who can do it, then someone who’s going to end up making him look like a weirdo! I won’t blast your name in Unilocal,but get a clue lady! Hopefully your manager reads this review and tells you to do the right thing in the future.

I just walked out of this place an hour and half ago. Do NOT go to this location if you care about your time.
This was my third time going to this location.
I walked in around 5:10 pm and the person who signed me in told me it would be a 30 minute wait.
At the time there were 3 groups (mom/​son and 2 individuals) of people ahead of me. First, one of the individual people got called a few minutes after I sat down. About 10 minutes later the son gets called. Another 10 minutes later the mom gets called. Then the other individual person gets called. During this time 4 different individuals come in and then sit in the waiting area near me. One of the four people that came in after me then gets called. I figure that maybe they called in or left and came back. Then the second of the four who came in after me gets called. Then eventually the third and fourth person who came in 15 – 25 minutes after me get called. At this point it’s 6 pm (50 minutes later) and I asked the receptionist how many more were ahead of me and she said 3 more. I told her that would be another 30 minutes (10 mins per person) so that would mean 6:30 pm or an hour later than I was told.
I was visibly upset and I said how is it possible for all 4 people who came in well after me got called and I was told they could’ve called in before arriving or left and came back. The way the 4 people came in did NOT appear like that was the case. They were asked the same questions as me (first and last name, haircut and wash or just a haircut). Even if that was the case, I find it hard for someone who is the receptionist and does this many times per week to be off by an hour. Everyone who got called all received standard cuts (no perms or hair coloring).
At that point I really wanted to tell the lady off and call bullsh! t but it wouldn’t have done anything and I just said thanks for wasting my time.
This is my second Unilocal review. When I looked at the other 1-​star reviews there were other people who had similar experiences. Not only does this location not know how to handle incoming customers or are intentionally slotting in people ahead of other people who have waited considerably longer, they also charge more than other locations. $ 19 for a haircut instead of $ 15.95 at the location in Alhambra. I paid $ 10 at a Supercuts near the Disney resort while in a trip to Oahu last year. The management at this franchise obviously doesn’t care to improve on these negative reviews.
Don’t waste your time supporting this crappy location. This location is less than a mile from my house but I will NEVER go back again!

Wow! I finally found a stylist that know how to cut my hair. If you have curly hair you want to have Trish cut it! She is super friendly too. Never have a problem getting an appointment and the rest of the staff is very friendly as well.

Because they open at 8AM (and we have early morning rising kids), we stopped by for our 2 year old’s first hair cut! They had a booster for her and Carmen was patient with her. There’s a little seating area and we luckily had a chair just adjacent so she could see us and we could snap photos. We were in and out in about 15 minutes and they even gave her stickers and a first haircut certificate with first strands of hair. Seems like it gets busy on a Saturday morning and they luckily had around 4 stylists working but appointments might be a good idea

I’ve had much better haircuts here than places where you pay over $ 70 for a haircut.

Firstly I’m not too particular about my hair style. It grows back, and I’m fortunate to have «a good head of hair». Having had between 5 – 8 cuts here, it’s always been hit’ miss. I’d suggest making an appointment with same person regularly.
All stylists have been very polite with the intent to provide a good cut.

The two star rating is a combination of 4 – 5 stars for the stylist and 1 star for the experience I just had with this South Pas Supercuts location.
The stylist, Trish, is great. I even followed her from another Supercuts when she transferred here, even though it’s further and costs a little more.
Sunday, 9÷13÷15, was an arghhh!!! experience at this location. I had quarterly taxes due in 2 days and because of other urgent and time specific events, needed to finish and send out the tax payments by the next morning. Had delayed cutting my hair, and now badly needed it. I’ve only trusted one person from Supercuts to cut my hair for years and Sunday is the end of her work week. So I felt I could squeeze this in.
I call for a reservation. They are packed so, no reservations, walk ins only, first come first served, the wait is over an hour, they close in 3 hours. I go in and the waiting area is packed with mostly unhappy people waiting more than 1 hour past their estimated reservation time and later walk-​ins like me waiting our 1.5 hours to be seen. I understand this happens sometimes and I had decided to wait. So although inconvenienced, I’m not upset to stand in the packed area until I can get a seat to further wait away my tax prep time for my requested stylist… fair is fair right?
Well, a guy that came in after me as a walk-​in, approaches the front desk sometime into our wait time to check on his wait status. The receptionist tells him there’s only one person in before him, which I assume is me since I came in and put my name down before he did, but that he might be next because the person before him is waiting on a specific stylist… if another stylist is open, he may be next. So minutes later, MY stylist is free and the guy who came in after me is called in to see the stylist I was specifically waiting for. If it was another stylist that was freed up, that would be understandable. But as a walk-​in without a stylist preference or even if he had also requested my stylist, he should go after me for this stylist.
By the time I realized what was happening and could have even a limited conversation with the front desk, the other guy was in the chair. Not his fault, not gonna pull him off. At this point, receptionist either still doesn’t get what she did or isn’t going to own up to it in front of everyone. She says, «… [you are waiting for] Trish, don’t worry she’ll be right with you after this…» But from how she was looking at the schedule in front of her and her stammering and later her periodic anxious glances at me, it was obvious she figured out she had messed up. She continued to nervously play it off as if nothing had happened the rest of my time there… even as I stared her down from time to time.
The poor staffing arrangements I can take, it’s poor management, but it happens. Even the mistake of putting a walk-​in who came in after me ahead of me for the specific stylist I was waiting for I could bring myself to deal with if it wasn’t for the utter lack of even the simplest acknowledgement or taking of responsibility. Especially even after the other customer had left when the receptionist was taking care of my bill afterwards. Completely infuriating.
Was waiting until no one else was at the front desk to tell her to be more diligent with her walk-​in procedure without publicly embarrassing her, but that was taking too long. So, I just said forget it and left. More people will benefit from my telling it on Unilocal

I was called by the store manager after this situation. I really appreciate that she called me. Although the damage is done sometimes you just want to be heard and understood. And that is what this particular manager did. She offered solutions as to how to improve situations like this and asked for feedback as well. I will not come back to this location, I think I will just return to the Supercuts we normally go to but I sincerely appreciate the professionalism of this manager. 5 stars for the store manager.

I have been going to this Supercuts for more than 15 years and have my two boy going here. The receptionists are always friendly and I have my my regular hair stylist. Her name is Mina. I had others though the years but like the way Mina cuts my hair and that of my boys. «She listens». I also see reviews here from frustrated walk in people who state that they had long waits and indeed there are at times. I was there when I first started to go here. Supercuts gives you the ability to call in ahead of time AND they now give you the ability to set a reservation online. This way you can time yourself and not be frustrated. I am a long time customer that will continue to go here as long as they are around.

The management of this store really needs to read these reviews, because what they don’t see to take into serious account is the fact that people like ME read this reviews, and they have already lost me as a customer. Seriously. I will NOT go to a place with such terrible reviews about customer service, and the reviewer who mentioned the manager not ending a personal call and making him wait– I mean– I can’t stand it when people do that on the train, nevermind someone I am going to be giving money to for a service! Y’all need to get it together, because I am sure that I am not the only person who will not visit your establishment because you can’t seem to take proper care of your customers. Get a clue!

I’ve come to this Supercuts before, and the beauticians are good at what they do. But I just had an experience that will cause to me to look elsewhere for my hair cutting needs.
I was told when I arrived it would only be a 15-​minute wait. 35 – 40 minutes later, after seeing people being called who had arrived after me, all I had to do was give the receptionist a look and she told me «It’s because they requested certain people.»
I have nothing wrong with this. If they request someone, they should have to wait for that person. It doesn’t make sense to make the customer who doesn’t have a preference for those who do. It would seem that most people coming in had requested a certain beautician, thus making me wait even longer.
By the way, if someone had requested someone specific to cut their hair for a specific time (they had an appointment) that would be another story. These people were coming in well after I arrived with their requests.
I was finally called, and it became apparent that the receptionist had assigned me to someone who had been requested by another patron by the way she argued with the receptionist. At one point, I heard «Well he’s been waiting a while so just take him.» They were arguing over me like I was a nuisance that they wanted gone. I finally got up, said I would find another place, after which they said nothing.
They were probably relieved.

AVOID THIS PLACE AY ALL COSTS! I’M SERIOUS! DO NOT COME HERE! The younger girl who worked on me couldn’t even do a simple layer! She took an entire chunk out of my hair! It looks terrible. Worst of all, she said she pretty much got the job because her mom has been working there for more than 10 years.
My hair grows very slowly so this is actually heartbreaking because I had finally grown a good length out.

Been here about 4 times and last night had an extra good experience! The wait time was right on and having the grocery store next door is perfect. Was able to kill 2 birds with 1 stone. The haircut was well done! Not going to share her name because I don’t want her to get booked up!

Great for a simple men’s haircut. Good price and friendly service. Wait times aren’t too bad.

I’ve always been happy with my cut here. That being said it is managed fairly miserably. When I am told 20 minutes — very close to that is what I expect. Then to see person after person go in ahead of me and to be told, «They asked for that person (stylist).» It’s not cool to be told that. SUPERCUTS Corporate: a word of advice — as I am sitting here, so far two customers have walked out. So can’t changes be made — let more stylists have a chair — take appointments for a change! Don’t treat customers like chattel. I won’t be coming back. To top it off, the desk person was just rude about it.

Get the tea tree experience! It is only $ 12 extra but it feels like a $ 60 spa experience. The scalp massage alone is worth it.
I have been here a half dozen times and every time I was seen within 10 minutes and out within 20 and My hair left better than the picture I showed them. They can cut my hair quickly but I never feel rushed. Please bring cash to tip the stylist since they do not offer cash back when you pay for your cut.

Worst place ever !!! BAD service !!!
I called ahead to ask for price and was told $ 60 highlight for long hair.
However, came out no highlight at all wasted 2 hours. Went back second time, completely Ruin my hair. And in the end they refused to dry my hair unless I pay extra. And the woman did my hair was hostile, she held hair dryer so close to my scalp and eyes, caused pain and burning sensation .
I was mad, I was fearful … Bad People !!!

I’ve been coming here since I got married 27 years ago and they have never disappointed me. I have a favorite clipper (Carmen) who makes the whole experience worth while and really remembers her customers. I think it’s important to get a great looking haircut, but also be able to talk with your stylist during your cut. Not many others are as social or open with their customers. I would recommend calling ahead for an appointment and also joining the Supercut club for monthly discounts.

I read through the reviews before coming in here and I must say I should have definitely been alarmed by the reviews. I am not one to normally leave bad reviews, but this is something I am not happy about.
I was in desperate need of a change, at the time I had an ombré that needed some toning. I wanted to go a little lighter on one side because one side had less color than the other (if that makes sense) so upon my consultation, the stylist was pretty much against all of my ideas, and recommended that I do not go lighter because the condition my hair was in would end in my hair breaking off. she totally frustrated me so I just told her to match my roots to with rest of my hair, which meant no more ombré for me. before doing so, she did let me know that because my ends were lighter, they would still come out a little lighter, so I said that was fine, she added a «filler» to my hair so that it could absorb the color a little better and so that it would come out «evenly» …as soon as she was done with that, she proceeded to applying color to the rest of my hair, i asked her to match the color of my roots to the rest of my hair, not thinking that she would actually apply hair color to my roots, when i realized what she was doing i asked her what she was doing, I didn’t think she actually needed to apply any color to my roots to match the rest of my hair, I mean, couldn’t she just touch up wherever my ombré started? …well anyways, by this time i was already frustrated, so i told her to do whatever she needed to do to get my hair one even color. the processing time was over, so she proceeded to guide me back to the wash bowl where she literally engraved her talons to my scalp as she washed and scrubbed my hair. i have never been so uncomfortable and in pain while getting my hair washed, i mean could she not read my body language and facial expressions as she was digging her nails into my scalp?.
that process ended so she took me back to her station where she revealed to me my new hair. it was whatever, i didn’t really care, i saw green tones in my ends, i was frustrated and i just didn’t want anything to do with them anymore.
next, she asked if i wanted her to «blow dry my hair a little so that i didn’t walk out completely dripping wet»
what salon doesn’t blow dry your hair after a service? so i walked out with wet dripping hair. totally was the cherry on top of the experience.
a week later, after a couple of washes, my ends are a little lighter, and i have absolutely no problem with that because she did let me know that they would come out a little lighter, the real problem is that i have hot roots! meaning my roots are now lighter than the rest of my hair, it is a warm red tone and i absolutely HATE it. she did not advice me that my roots were going to turn out lighter, this is why i had a problem with her applying hair color to my roots to begin with. i am beyond frustrated and upset.
in the end i paid $ 85 for an experience that was not worth it, should of just paid the $ 200 at a different salon for a better experience and service.

This is by far the BEST Supercuts I have found in the surrounding area. The stylists here actually know what they are doing and do a great job! Very professional. Linda, my preferred stylist, is great and knows how to handle my long hair with ease. Always been happy with the job she’s done…
Yes, the wait is long and they are ALWAYS busy but that’s because they are so dang good! Well worth the wait in my opinion. :)
