MD’s Florist

My fiancé and I were looking a florist for our wedding, which took place on Mother’s Day and we were referred by our ceremony venue. Jean gave us a great deal and was always very accommodating to our busy schedules. On the day of the wedding we were stunned at how great the centerpieces looked and many people in the store were trying to purchase the arrangements! Even though Mother’s Day was a really busy day for them, all of the deliveries were on time, set up, and looked great. I would highly recommend MD’s flowers!

I ordered flowers for my parents for years from another florist in Pasadena. Both my mother and my sister agreed the quality of the arrangements from the other place had gone downhill. I tried MD’s Florist because they had an online photo of the type of arrangement my mother prefers, plus really good reviews. The service was excellent and my mother loved the flowers. However, she told me to keep looking for another place as the arrangement started deteriorating after only two days.

They are helpful and give out great flowers and listen to your ideas or wants. Parking is easy. I am a fan

We used MD’s florist for our wedding, and our flowers were AMAZING !! Jean our florist, is awesome, she was very patient, took the time to really get to know what I wanted for my wedding, and paid attention to all the details of the flowers and bouquets that I wanted. Jean made multiple visits and phone calls to both the reception and church prior to the wedding, so she can provide me with more input as how the arrangements would compliment each location.
A few weeks before to the wedding, Jean made a sample arrangement of our centerpiece. It already was a great arrangement, but I wanted more colors. Jean agreed to make those changes without any problem.
Day of the wedding — Jean and her team arrived on time and delivered the bouquets right to our hotel suite. The bouquets and corsages were perfect. The church and reception arrangements were much better than what I had expected. The centerpieces were so beautiful that guests already started asking if they can take it home, minutes into the reception. My husband ended up giving a centerpiece to a group of women who was not part of our wedding, as they kept complimenting the arrangements for almost 15 minutes.
Other than all the arrangements being so beautiful, they were also durable and lasted for days.
Jean and her team really love and are passionate about each and every single arrangement they make, and it is truly a work of art. I’m so happy that I was able to have them for my wedding and I highly recommend them :)

Had called to place order and asked to call back to speak to florist designer. Called back, no one answering. Called back several times within their stated business hour but still no pick-​up of call.
Went on on-​line to ordered for next day delivery. Checked email the next day with no indication that ordered was received nor filled.
Called florist, accidentally called Arcadia store, got immediate pick-​up and told them was verifying that my on-​line order was received and will be delivered that day since received no email acknowledgement. She immediately looked up or called South Pasadena store and confirmed arrangement has been made and waiting for late afternoon delivery per my instruction.
Immediately after phone call, received photo of floral arrangement and later in the afternoon received confirmation of delivery.
Receiver LOVED the floral arrangement. I’m happy with their service after phone call and would use them again at both shops.

I absolutely loved the arrangements by MD’s Florist for our wedding in January. Jean is wonderful — friendly and professional, and the work is superb. She was able to provide us with beautiful, unique, and creative arrangements within our budget. Communicating with Jean was so easy and stress-​free — she even went so far as to communicate with my church and coordinators herself, well before necessary, to make sure the church décor met the requirements. As for styling went, I just gave her our wedding colors, and an idea of what I wanted for centerpieces — manzanita branches adorned with flowers (for a fairytale themed wedding). I had no idea what the bouquets were going to look like, and I didn’t really have any preferences either, but I knew I didn’t have to worry about them being like the cookie cutter red bouquets — I had complete faith that I would not be disappointed. Even then, when I saw the sample photos she sent me, I was absolutely blown away. I had never seen anything like it. The bouquets, boutonnieres, and flower girl’s crown were so unique, and the perfect blend of romantic and glamorous. Absolutely gorgeous. Thank you so much, Jean, for being part of our celebration. We truly appreciate the quality of your work and service.

MD florist is amazing. I live in the Bay Area and this morning I placed an order for a corsage to be delivered to a lovely friend of mine who lives in Pasadena asking her to be my maid of honor. I was stunned when about an hour later they texted me a picture of my finished order, and then texted to confirm delivery! Not only that, but the mini bouquet looked even more beautiful in the picture they sent than it did on the website. If I could give this business more than 5 stars I would!
I’ve had some bad experiences with larger florists (lookin at you 1−800-flowers). Even though my order was tiny they treated it like gold. This business really managed to put a smile on my face… and bring tears to the eyes of my recipient. New rating:

Fantastic florist! I order online (easy to navigate website). The florist called me to let me know some of the flowers that were pictured in the sample arrangement shown on the website were not available and described the substitutions. They even sent me a picture of the flowers before they were delivered. I also received an email when the arrangement was complete and when it was delivered. Beautiful flowers, great service and easy ordering will keep me using MD’s Florist.

MD’s Florist is a great place with wonderful service. My husband always gets me flowers from here, I love the beautiful arrangements and the flowers are always fresh and unique. The staff is very talented in making custom arrangements with an artistic flair. If in doubt ask for Meilyn as she is truly a floral artist !!!

My dear husband surprised me with a bouquet from them. Unfortunately I wasn’t home to receive the delivery so it was left at the front gate around noon in hot weather They were given my cell phone number but they didn’t call. I could’ve made sure to be around.
The arrangement was very nice and it sat in a small wooden crate. I tried to give it water the next day because it looked like it needed it. The water soaked right thru the wood… apparently, the plastic liner was unable to keep the water. I’m sorry to give an unfavorable review to a new business in the area

Wow, after posting the 2star review… the owner called me personally and apologized. She insisted on delivering another arrangement with another vase.
She just left exchanging the arrangements. The new arrangement is in a glass vase with similar flowers. She truly goes the extra mile to value our business! 5star!!!

I called the Arcadia location on Saturday to order a small bouquet, buccaneer, and hair piece for my wedding the NEXT DAY, and even though they had another wedding to manage, they took my order and charged me about $ 120. It was already past their closing time when they told me to pick up at the South Pasadena location. When I saw the bouquet at pick up, I wasn’t happy because it didn’t look like it had the exact colors I wanted. Because it was such a last min order they had to make do with what they had. Plus some of the flowers I wanted weren’t flowers they carried because they were prone to wilting quickly. But then I bought some flowers from the grocery store and they stayed 3 more hours to make it just right! THAT’S 4 HOURS PAST CLOSING. That is supreme commitment to realizing their customers’ vision.
My wedding dress was very simple. So these flowers were key to making it look like the very special day that it was.
Thank you so much MDS! If I only knew the name of the exact lady that helped me. I’m definitely going to come back the next time I need flowers.

Jean and Steven over at MD’s Florist are AMAZING!!! I was forgetful on Mother’s Day and had not planned ahead like I should have. I called MD’s Florist at my friend’s suggestion and was surprised to hear that they would have the bouquet ready to go in less than an hour. The flowers turned out amazingly and I was able to retain my spot as the favorite son! Thank you MD’s Florist! I will definitely be back soon.

Had to go through a last minute prom corsage ordeal for my little sister. This was the only store in the area that could create one on the spot for us. Meilyn was fantastic and catered to our needs. She created an elegant piece in less than 20 minutes and I was beyond content. Would definitely comeback here again.

They made two of the most beautiful arrangements for me today. They were so professional on the phone sent me beautiful photos and took the time to let me know that they had been delivered. I highly recommend this florist! I will definitely be using them in the future.

MD Florist has always been professional and done amazing designs for any arrangement I have ever needed. The flowers are always beautiful and fresh and I never worry how they’ll look when they’re delivered.

My boyfriend got my valentine roses here. They are absolutely gorgeous. I have walked into this shop before and it is very cute the young girl working was sweet and attentive. We Love to support local businesses.
