As an international student you can get fed a lot of disinformation about your options when it comes to pursuing work in the US after your studies. I chatted to a handful of lawyers, including Allison (who was recommended by a friend) and felt most at ease with her advice. She is knowledgeable, professional and on top of her game when it comes to keeping up with ever-​changing immigration reform. When my husband and I got married, she and her legal assistant, Marice, walked my husband and I through the immigration process. It was such a relief to have their guidance through the process. I’ve known Attys. Allison Aquino and Richard Loew for a few years now and I only have good things to say about their business practice and ethics. They helped me obtain my green card a few years ago.
It was good to have lawyers I can actually talk to. They made themselves available through text, phone, email, or even when I needed to consult in person. They replied to text messages and email promptly and returned phone calls within the next business day. When I went in for my interview, Atty. Richard Loew was there to assist me. He explained everything thoroughly.
Even after I obtained my permanent resident status through them, I would occasionally ask immigration-​related question for friends and family. And what I admire about them is they will be very honest with you. They will only take your money if they think they can help you and work on your case. Otherwise, if there’s no option, or if timing is not right according to Visa Bulletin, they will not charge a retainer.
