Overpriced. Don’t waste your time and money. I have been going there since day one when they opened. However, since i have moved to broward county it was far to drive there. I was in the area and wanted to share the experience with my daughter so i took her there. The worst cheese empanadas. Omg! Even the coffee was bad. Do not attempt to go. I think they changed ownership and the décor was like a mad case of pueblo and south beach combined.

I love small ma and pa kinda places! This is a ma and pa place with a Venezuelan twist. It looks like a bakery but has delicious breakfast/lunch menu. We shared the arepa with eggs and the cachapas which I learned is a sweet corn pancake… wow! We are talking incredible! Buttery and Rich yet sweet! Knocked me off my feet! I have fallen in love! Prices are very reasonable! Café con leche comes without sugar! Whoop whoop! So add your own if you need it. A small gem!

I LOVE this place and its people!!! Anyone knows the name of the owners? Is Carlos the name of the older men? I think one of the daughters is Carolina? I can’t remember! It’s such an amazing place and I haven’t been there in such long time! I miss it soooo much! Best Cachapas, cachitos and tequenos in the USA. I am actually asking here because I am getting married and want them to ship me some tequenos and other stuff for the wedding! That’s how good they are! :D

If you wanna eat really good Arepas, and feel like your mom just cooked them for you, go to European Corner! This is a family Bussiness and you can tell they do everything with love and dedication. I normally go during the week for breakfast and it’s always delicious. I totally recommend this place.

Can someone please explain why this place is called European Corner? Seriously, please message me. We wandered into this casual Venezuelan joint located across the street from the Winn Dixie after grocery shopping. Luckily after a couple minutes a mom with a couple of kids showed up so we weren’t the only ones dining here. I asked for a cachapa(several Unilocalers mentioned these) but the sweet lady didn’t quite understand me and said the didn’t have them. She also said that there were no tequeños. They either ran out or don’t serve them on the weekends. I didn’t quite understand the lady. I tried some corn cake filled with pork and it was delicious. Rich, meaty comfort food with sweetness from the corn. It might have been a cachapa after all. I still don’t know. Service was very friendly & accommodating considering I had no idea what most things were on the menu. They have a small parking lot in front of the small shop. There are about four tables inside if you want to eat your food right away.

I have been eating here since 1996 and they still have the best venezuelan cachitos in town. The owners have always been working hard everyday hands on delivering the best to their customers

I am not coming back to that place never again. The food is terrible. I had cachapa and it was raw and awful. I am from Venezuela and know very well how the Venezuela food is and taste. The service very bad. The chicken very bad. HORRIBLE experience

This is a great Venezuelan bakery, with amazing, authentic food. We first went there 5 years ago, on a vacation to Miami. It was one of the places we remembered. We came back and to our delight, found that this place was better than ever. The coffee is great, and the Venezuelan specialties are out if this world. This is a required stop I. south Miami.

So delicious!!! Anything you order here you will love! You just need a bit of patience because it is a small place and it gets really crowded specially on Sunday but it is so worth! Hallacas, cachapas and all kind of arepas and cheese and ONE must: tequeños! They are AMAZING!!! Like nowhere else!

Coming off a horrific dinner experience the night before, my fiancé and I were eager for some comfort food. I’ve been coming to this establishment for years but had not been in quite some time. Knowing my fiancé would appreciate the type of breakfast that is disguised as a dinner for 2 I ordered the Desayuno Criollo. Oh and before I forget we had the sweetest most attentive and thoughtful waitress that reminded you of your tia abuela that gave you that warm fuzzy feeling whenever you were around her. This breakfast brings an arepa, queso blanco, scrambled eggs, a ropa vieja type meat, AND frijoles negros. We also ordered a cachapa– which, I mean, wow– the melted queso blanco and slightly charred corn meal is possibly what dreams are made of. Anyway, all this food filled us up until 8pm(it was 11ish when we ate). Food and service were on point and also, they have a home made hot sauce which is perfectly spicey and hot– ask for it and enjoy because what makes this place that much more awesome is how affordable everything is.

This is probably one of my favorite places in Miami. Nothing is better then a little hole in the wall with FABULOUS food! I prefer that to the 4-star restaurants on SOBE anyday! The desayuno is out of this world– sub maduros for the eggs! The arepas, cachapas and cachitos are incredible and delicious! The bad thing is that this is just down the road from M Cycle and is usually my go to place after a 2 hour work out session.(And I wonder why I work out constantly with no results!!!) It’s well worth it though!

First hours in our trip to Miami, my wife wanted traditional Venezuelan food, found this online and we will go back. Food was just like home. Empanadas were not evenly sized, just the way I would find it in My house. Very well seasoned. Tequenos were fluffy and imperfect and tasted amazing. What my wife liked is that it seems everything is home made, very homey feeling. Alot of Venezuelan products can be found there: cookies, powdered milk, or cocoa or café. Décor is like a luncheria in vza. Simple. Old vza pictures from a tourist agency showcasing the beauty the country has to offer. Friendly lady will take your order and tell you about her Italian husband… makes for a cozy snack…

Whenever I begin to describe lunch at European Corner my mouth begins to water. I swallow hard and keep detailing the tequeños, the arepas, the cachapas, and the colorful treats lining the high shelves along the walls. If you’re in the South Miami area this Venezuelan eatery is a must

I am so glad this place has remained open for many years. The folks that run this place are so friendly and do an excellent job with Venezuela food. The location is very tiny for eating inside, however, there are tables outside.

This is a must visit place in Miami to get a taste of Venezuelan cuisine. I have been coming to this bakery since I was twelve and they do some extraordinary things here. They have a lot of Venezuelan comfort foods that they make in their kitchen. It is a ritual every once in a while to visit this place to get some cachitos de hamon with Frescolita and tequen~os. During Christmas time you can buy Pan de Jamon, a traditional Christmas bread with olives raisins and ham. You could also find Allacas(olives, meat, papelon, spices, in cornflour base wrapped in banana leaves) during that time too. If you plan on visiting this bakery make sure to go before twelve because they do produce a limited quantity of all their selections daily and they do have a tendency to run out!

Venezuelan bakery? Cool… Venezuelan arepas? Count me in. I’ve had arepas before, but the sweet ones. The colombian ones. Never a venezuelan arepa, and I was determined that should change. So I roll up in here, tell the lady i’ve never had one. Of course her reaction was the right one. She gives me an empty face, goes to the back and I don’t see her for another 5 minutes. When she comes back, She hands me this massive looking thing, stuffed with 2 slabs of fresh cheese. I pay the 4 dollars and some change, and get on my way. While waiting for a friend, I eat the arepa as slow as I can. It only took a bite to realize how precious the next bites would be. I’ll be going back to try whatever else they have, especially the much raved tequeño.

As far as home cooked Venezuelan food goes this is 5 stars all the way. Being that I’m from NY but roots to Miami and Venezuela, this place offers the food that most reminds me of home cooked Venezuealen food like my grandmother or family would make! The Cachitos and Teqenos are unbeatable, the end. The Cachitos/a’s are super fresh and served nice and hot I can’t go in here with out eating at least one while standing at the counter talking to the staff. The cachapas remind me of being a kid and eating this super filling treat. Again being that I’m here in NY I don’t get to have this much but I will say that the food freezes well for a few months! On a side not don’t go here expecting a formal meal, this is casual sit next to whomever sort of fare, the best kind sometimes!

BESTTEQUEÑOINMIAMI That’s it… after trying 20 or so places in my 4 years in Miami, I realized that one of the first Venezuelan bakery I’ve had in Miami still serve the best tequeños — the rest are crap by comparison(sorry to say). It’s all in the dough, and the European Corner is the one that makes it the best all around — from Kendall to Sunny Isles, and it’s even better than those in Doral. The bubbly dough when fried is just right, and the cheese is as authentic as it could be. I’ll start buying frozen tequeños here to make at home, and I’ll continue to buy tequeños here when I am in the area. But yes, they’re so good that I usually forget to ask for the sauces that usually accompany the tequeños at other locations. Actually, I don’t even know if they have the sauces(but I would think they do if they have arepas). I’m happy enough without them. And since the last time I came here(it’s been too long, unfortunately), they have added a lot more things. I saw more variety of cheeses, including some from the Venezuelan state of Zulia(where Maracaibo is located) which is very rare. They have the best assortment of Venezuelan cheeses I’ve seen. And additionally, complaining about the disappearance of Fama de America at Doral’s Sedano’s ever since Chavez(the idiot, I’ll profess publicly) nationalized the coffee industry? Well, look no further — they are available here — AND with two other rare but good Venezuelan coffee brands(San Domingo and San Antonio). They’re pricey though, but when there’s nobody around offering the same, you have to overlook it. Their bakery is still delicious. I had their small pan dulce which is a sweet bread with anise and sugar topping and it reminded me of the trip I made to Colonia Tovar, a German colony, from Caracas where I was just munching these away. Read the previous review for more on the place’s offerings. :)
