Late pickup, oil spilling at every house, damaged property, no resolution. Boo. At lease the nice girl answers the phone but nobody calls you back.

I have to literally label my trash & recycling so the trucks won’t leave things behind. This past week the top 2 bags from my trash can were picked up, but they left the bottom 2 bags in the can. How in the hell do 2 bags (that are not stuck) get left in the can? When I called the next day they told me they would be by to pick up the 2 bags left in the trash can. It is now 2 days later & when I call, I get hung up on by their automated system. I am beyond frustrated and looking for a new company that serves my area. I have asked for the manager to call me several times in the last 4 months… I have yet to receive a call.

I have been a customer for over 15 years and have never missed a payment. Wish they could say same for their pick up! When I asked for a credit for one week they missed, I didn’t even get an apology, just «no» as they were sending out a truck. Which by the way, took 3 days of calling and came 36 hours before the next scheduled pick up. Hope that $ 5 was worth the loss of a long time customer.

Duncan missed picking up recyclables twice last month, and now have missed picking up garbage for six straight days after the pickup date, although I’ve repeatedly called and the polite receptionist promises daily to contact the supervisor and make a special note to the driver. They don’t have voicemail, so be prepared to wait on hold, and be disconnected half the time while waiting, (passive aggressive) so that your time can be further wasted with promises and no action.

They don’t show up, if they show up they drive VARY fast through the area. They drop stuff, put the trash can in the middle of the driveway and the phone never is always busy. Worst company ever! We will be dropping their service.

Wow on these reviews! Glad I took the time to look them up. Not one good review. I’ll keep shopping.

Called about 7 times to get a yard waste pickup they missed multiple weeks, promised they would come get it every time — never did. I finally gave up and said I would put it out again next week.
Put it out the next week — again, didn’t get it.
Whole of neighborhood depends upon Duncan but they are getting worse and failing.
Will suggest to neighborhood board to find another provider.
Customer service on the phone seems nice but obviously has no power to make things right or get crews to follow through.
Used to like this company at first but not anymore.

I expect that when my trash gets picked up, it is thrown directly into the truck. Unfortunately, the young man with the goatee on the back of the truck rips open our garbage bags and rifles through and takes items out. When picking up our recycling, the same patterns happen. Today, the driver in the front actually had to honk at him to hurry up his sorting and get back in the truck. You can see his «goodies» hanging on the back of the truck in a bag. I’m curious as to what he’s saving. Unfortunately as we are residents of South Lyon, we don’t have a choice in refuse providers, Duncan being the chosen company by the city.

These guys are great as long as you don’t mind them skipping your house and then blaming you. We left refuse bags out for 4 weeks straight and they never got picked up. When we called after the 4^th week we were told there was nothing they could do because we didn’t give them 24 hours notice. So basically we should have known they wouldn’t do their job and warn them in advance. After several calls they finally picked up our refuse bags. The next refuse pickup day came around and we were skipped yet again. Called several times and were told every time someone would be out soon…4 days later still no pickup. Use a different company for trash pickup if at all possible

Awful service. I’m a new customer and they still haven’t picked up my trash 3 days later. After multiple calls and their promise to pickup the trash, they still haven’t picked up. Don’t waste your money with this incompetent company.

The worst.
«Garbage should be picked up on a consistent, weekly basis.» — said everybody besides Duncan Disposal.
Trash is always at the curb the night before pick-​up day, but I still have to take time out of my work day to call Duncan (even the company name makes me cringe now) *every *single *time there’s waste to be picked up. And it’s not because there’s an unpaid balance, because I ask. Nope, they’re just that incompetent. With each call, I hear, «We’ll send a friendly reminder to your driver!» I’d suggest making the reminder not-​so-​friendly next time, because he keeps driving right past the house in his zig-​zag pattern from can to can. You’re a mess, Duncan.
