Vinny’s Pizza & Pasta in South Lake Tahoe offers hand tossed, New York style pizzas and Italian pasta dishes. We pride ourselves on using fresh ingredients. We make our pizza dough fresh every day and our pasta sauces are homemade and delicious!

We have a great selection of regional beers, desserts for the kiddo’s, and HD TVS for the gamesx

We offer Delivery, Dine-​in and Take-​away and are now open for lunch on weekends. Beer & Wine delivery available with food order.

History

Established in 2009.

Vinny’s was first opened by our friend Anthony, who learned most everything he knows about making great pies and Italian food growing up on the East Coast. He learned from a guy named Vincenzo, or «Vinny». Vinny started making great pies and Italian food in the Bronx back in the 70’s. Now, the torch has been passed down to us to share with you, two of our favorite things, hot yummy food and beautiful South Lake Tahoe!

Our Menu includes New York style pizzas, fresh pasta selections, calzones, ravioli, lasagna, baked ziti, eggplant parmigiana, salads, subs, appetizers and more.

Stopped in during our visit in SLT. We ended up at the wrong pizza place but we are glad for the mistake! The pizza was great, happy hour was a great deal but the service was the best part of our visit. We were served by Andy who gave us tons of Tahoe tips and was very attentive. Great place, definitely recommend it.

Loved this place. Small, quaint, and family pizza restaurant. Pizza and spaghetti were served piping hot and fresh. Love the pizza dough. Staff was friendly. Place was clean. If you are in the area of the first time, stop by and try this.
I can only recommend this place is a little bigger for more seating. Maybe, add outdoor seating if there isn’t already (went there after 9pm, so didn’t notice if there was).

Well, thank goodness the pizza was good. Ordered at 6:30, delivered at 8:30. Mind you, they voided my entire purchase and the poor delivery girl obviously had a rough one. However, almost 2 hours from call to delivery and 3 items missing from our order. No salads or cheddar bacon fries. Total bummer, we were really looking forward to those fries! Buuuuut, appreciative of the void and the pizza was yummy ;)

went to try the new place down the street,(dough).when I saw the mere size of their pizza, I went to VinnyS. Same price, much larger pizza, better taste for sure. Ordered and picked up in 20 minutes!

A small local place that my wife and I had dinner at last week after reading reviews on Unilocal.This is not a tourist fancy place, for a 5 course meal. This is a local place to get some good Italian food at a good price.
Staff were friendly and accommodating. We had Lasagna & Calzone, both were hot & fresh, the marinara sauce was tasty and a nice compliment to the main dishes. We were there on a early Monday evening and watched many locals come and go ordering sandwiches and Pizza and heard nothing but positive discussions for their pizza specialities.
I go to Lake Tahoe often and we will be back…

Cheese pizza was simple but flavorful and crust perfect. Lasagna, was either frozen or had processed quality. So it was just ok. GUy who delivered to hotel brought no utensils, which is kinda a no brainer. For the money, it did the trick. Will probably order pizza again. Oh, the cheesecake was really tasty.

So first off, the pizza is off the hook. I had the Alfredo pizza and I was in heaven (ly) with each bite. Awesome place to grab some food. Andy was also amazing. He was super friendly and definitely an asset to that place. I will for sure come back and recommend it to people we know!

Awesome! Service is top notch! Food is superb! Don’t pass this place up! Pizza is wayyy better than Base Camp Pizza. The pasta is great. Ask for Andy. You will not be disappointed. Local places really work hard for your approval and this place is awesome. Best marinara sauce ever!

I won’t lie, I initially tried to go next door (to the sushi restaurant) and get takeout. When they were too busy for me, I stumbled into Vinny’s and was quickly greeted by their friendly staff. There were a handful of tables in the restaurant and they were all full which I took as a good sign.
Looking over the menu I was entranced by the calzone options. I threw meatball into their basic option for a little something extra. They offer a gluten free personal pizza so my celiac friend was able to find something as well.
The whole order took 20 minutes to prepare. I devoured the calzone with pleasure. The dough was delicious and everything worked beautifully together. My friends enjoyed their pizzas/​calzones as well.
Overall it was reasonably priced, with great staff and delicious food. Would definitely recommend if you are in the South Lake area.

We went here for dinner after a day of skiing. Originally we called for delivery and were told that they weren’t taking any more order because the wait was already about an hour; however, if we came in the eat-​in time was much less. We figured if people are willing to wait nearly 2 hours for pizza, this place must be good. So, we walked over from our hotel and found a table available.
It was a busy weekend night and the place was pretty crowded. The tables were full plus there was a constant line of people ordering food for take out. Despite all this, our server, Andy, went above and beyond to make sure we received exceptional service. He was extremely friendly and checked in on us often.
The food was great, but I can’t say enough about how great the service was. Will definitely come back here on our next visit to the area.

Me and my family are visiting the area and we’re having a tough time deciding where to eat. We decided on pasta once we say the Vinny’s sign and just went for it.
Without any expectations, they definitely exceeded any we would have had. We got salad, pasta and lasagna, all delicious and cooked perfectly, tasting amazing. We even got a salad for free just by checking in on Unilocal!
The customer service was outstanding, the girl with the glasses treating you just how you would expect a high quality restaurant to service you.

Out of the million pizza places in South Tahoe, I can’t say this is a bad choice. I thought the pizza was was great and left me satisfied. I got the BBQ Chicken pizza and it was amazing. Only thing is I would not recommend having their pasta, wasn’t anything to write home about. Stick with their pizza and you’ll be golden.
Also appreciated the trivia type games they had sitting on the tables, was a fun time waiting as groups can really get involved with trivia (especially 80’s and 90’s trivia). Wish more places offered things like that while waiting.
