Vallejo and Sons Painting

Victor Vallejo and his crew stained our cedar-​sided home in October. Their work and customer service were simply the best. Victor’s is very customer-​focused and met my requests with a smile and a ‘sure, we can do that!’ reply. Very pleased with the look of our home and the quality of the work.

Update: I had Vallejo and Sons come back to transform my daughter’s cavelike bedroom when she went to college. They tore down the dated paneling, repaired the sheet rock, textured, and painted. There were some inevitable «surprises» such as finding out there was no weatherizing around the window. No wonder it was always so cold in there! Victor and his crew brought the room from trashy to classy in three days. They left the place spotless and I was once again impressed by the professionalism of this local company. Trust me, that is a rare thing in Tahoe. 5+ stars for Vallejo and Sons Painting!

My house was overdue for a good staining and Victor and his tram did a great job evaluating and scoping the work required to put it back into good condition and I am very happy with the result. Victor’s recommendations were thoughtful and complete, he is a straight shooter and delivered what he promised when he promised it. He even brought to my attention a flaw in the job that I hadn’t noticed after the job was completed and took care of it with no fuss despite the inconvenience to him and his crew. Quality work at a fair price with a high level of service. Highly recommend.

My house in Kirkwood was long overdue for an outside staining. And some of the outside wood had warped over the years and needed a replacement.
I chose Victor Vallejo because he had a reputation in Kirkwood of doing great work. I was also pleasantly surprised his quote came in on the low end of the other quotes I received. While I engaged Victor at the end of the outside painting season in Kirkwood, he managed to squeeze my house in before the cool weather kicked in. It was also really easy to communicate with him over email and the phone, something I find is rare with contractors in the area.
The good news is he did a fantastic job of applying the oil-​based stain to the outside of my house and railing on my deck. In some cases he had to apply multiple coats as I had waited too long to get the job done. He also did a great job of replacing all of the warped wood around the back of my house.
Victor’s as good as it gets, and he’s a pleasure to work with too. Highly recommended!
