History

Established in 2007.

We started out in Sacramento in 2007. We fell in love with the historic feel of Old Sacramento and decided that our shop would bring a wonderfully fun new dimension to the area. We opened on the weekend of Jazz Jubilee (as it was once called), that first day most of our inventory was still in boxes but we could tell that we had brought something to the area that people were looking for. We love color and fun and we’ve combined those two things to offer a one of a kind sock store experience! We offer a selection of over 5,000 styles and you are bound to find a gift for that hard to shop for person as well as yourself! A little over 2 years ago we also opened a second location in South Lake Tahoe. We can be found there at Heavenly Village right by the Gondola. As we strive to find those new items that our customers ask for we are always looking for new and exciting products to offer. We think your shopping experience should be as bright, fun and unique as you!

Just a few minutes ago, I walked past this stores and witnessed something so cruel inside the store, I was shocked beyond all belief. As this store was closing up, I saw an employee kick, choke, hit and continually abuse a black dog. My 2 kids were with me witnessing this gruesome act of malice. I confronted one of the two employees and stated that he cannot treat animals this way and his response was“it’s okay he is a service dog”. Really… that’s the logic to abuse an animal. Please don’t support this store. We can only advocate for those that can’t speak up for themselves.

Bought slipper socks and snow socks. Great selection of tabi or toed socks. I wish they had sports team (hockey) socks in children’s sizes. My favorite were the kids socks that made it look like fish ate your foot. They had Star Wars slippers, socks, and tights.

You walk into these stores and think, I don’t need anything here. And then you see a pair of socks that have the most adorable strap across them like a pair of Mary Janes and another pair of socks that have the most adorable pink piglets on them and your brain screams NO NO NO and your heart goes BUT PLEASE and your wallet says OH NO SHE DIDN’T.
I walked away with nothing but I totally killed 20 minutes here and enjoyed every minute of it.

Sock specialty stores aren’t a new thing. What can be a differentiation is the selection, quality, and service of each shop. This shop is located in the Shops at Heavenly Village, steps from the gondola. Very convenient with lots of other shops around.
I don’t wear design socks but they do make great gifts and let others know you’re thinking about them and allow the ability to pick something special that represents the giftee or a particular interest. Too many options to list but include sports teams and sports related theme, animals and pets, cartoon characters, and food theme. In this case, I wanted horse related socks. No problem finding what I wanted.
Staff were friendly and eager to assist in my search.

Went in tonight and bought my daughter two pairs of socks. They were size 9 – 11, so would be plenty big enough. However, one pair she couldn’t even get over her heel. We went back in 5 mins after leaving to exchange and I was told no returns. I didn’t want money back, just exchange for something else.
Still I was told no. The guy even said when something is made cheap it doesn’t always fit right. Why am I paying $ 10 for something cheap?
I even said she would show them how they wouldn’t go on. Waste of money.
I’m going to talk to the manager tomorrow, so hopefully she will help.

OMG!!! This place is amazing!!! I got a shitzu sock and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle sock. I wanted to get Sharknado 3 socks and these adorable slouchy socks for myself. I wanted to get worlds best mom socks for my mom. I wanted to get my friend panda socks. The only problem was I didn’t have enough money. Thirty dollars got me two socks about. I love this place and want to come back!

My shopping experience here is a always a solid five. This was not my first shopping endeavor into this store so I decided it was about time to review it.
There are categories and sections for every holiday, theme, age group, etc.
I always gravitate towards the most random socks available. Favorites this trip — dartboard target, beer can chicken socks (BBQ’s, chickens and beer cans), mustache socks and cartoon themed socks.
We entered this time hoping to find some Christmas socks to give out to the family this up coming holiday season. We found Christmas socks for all and more. The wifey grabbed a pair of cat slippers — so hilarious and apparently comfortable! I added to the Christmas themed pickups with some random skyline, dartboard and sports team socks.
No matter what theme you want this place is great. The price point is high ($ 10-​$ 18 /​pair) but you’re not buying standard socks — you’re paying for amazingly hilariously themed socks.
The employees are always helpful — offering to check to make sure the cat slippers were available in the best size for my wife. Nice touch as he was able to find the size my wife needed and we wound up making a purchase!

My husband has found a staple in his scrub attire world: hilarious socks. Patients, esp. kids, get a kick out of when he crosses his legs and some ironic alligator of Abe Lincoln sock shows.
I’ve spent many dollars gifting him with funny socks from Urban Outfitters but the quality isn’t too high as they usually end up with holes in the toes within a year.
Yes, the socks here are… pricey. But, if they are your niche, the selection and quality here are incomparable! I never thought a store solely devoted to socks could be so entertaining.

Place is super neat! Nice socks! Got pigs flying, little red ridinghood, Woodstock, Siamese cat, and turtle socks. Didn’t give 5 stars because it’s kinda pricey. Will look awesome w my boring scrubs I wear to work. Check out the pizza place nearby. Yummy!

Actually standing in the store right now. Agree with other reviewers as to the interesting selection but this store does NOT deserve your business! We bought three pair of mittens for the kids that completely fell apart when they first put them on — and the store has a no returns policy — even on defective merchandise! Pathetic. Buy your socks for less online where people take better care of their customers!

Sock heaven! Every kind of sock you can imagine with the cutest designs. For kids mostly but there are some more formal looking socks in the back such as tights, leg warmers, etc. I thought the socks were adorable and creative. They also sell taffy at the entrance which I thought was random. In addition to socks they have a great variety of beanies and scarves. Very unique selection.
You are bound to find a pair of socks for everyone here!
