Quiksilver – South Lake Tahoe

I came up to Tahoe for the weekend to do some snowboarding and decided it was time to upgrade my jacket and pants. After riding all day Saturday and then eating some dinner in the village area I started shopping around. I stopped into Quiksilver at the far end of the Heavenly village. Jordan was the first employee who greeted me and my lady on the way in. He was super down to earth and told me about some features to look for on jackets and pants. Ended up finding a couple styles I was digging and tried them on. When I came out Paris showed me that in the pants pocket there is a cord you can pull that shortens the pant leg so you don’t step on it, sold!
Main reason I was buying new pants was because the backs of my current old (Burton) pants were torn to shreds from walking on them in the parking lot. I was able to get up on Heavenly the next day before heading home and the new gear fit and performed great. Never owned any Quiksilver or DC snow gear and now I’m a huge fan. Eyed up some goggles but couldn’t pull the trigger this time, I’ll be back!
If you are in the market for ski or snowboard clothes, come check out this store. The clothing styles were really cool and they even have shoes and regular clothing. It’s not a large store by any means but they have a great selection of products. Definitely geared to the younger generation which is a refreshing site in the Heavenly village. Staff wasn’t pushy which I loved and they seemed very genuine throughout the whole experience.
BONUS: I forgot my board shorts at home and these guys carry boardshorts year round. Oh yeah, they were on sale!
NOTE: Parking was rough but that’s the reality of the village area. Use the casino lots.

Go here! Amazing service. Talk to Paris– awesome guy and helped me find exactly what I was looking for. Adam is badass too! If you’re looking for snow gear and want any advice, these are the guys to talk to. These guys are friendly, funny, and genuinely care about getting you what you need. Five stars is an understatement!

Wow, customer service and product is on point here. I’m a local and I don’t really shop in the village often but last week I had to find my girlfriend a birthday gift so I ventured out. I was greeted by a very nice young lady within a few seconds of entering and asked if I needed help. I said I was fine but might need some opinions later. After browsing for 15 minutes or so I was asked by a different employee, I believe her name was Laney, if I needed some help. She was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Roxy product, way more then I was haha. Needless to say I found a few items that she recommended and my girlfriend loved them. She wasn’t pushy and was patient with me, super bonus. Unlike some of the other reviewers on here I had an awesome experience, good to see a local shop taking care of their customers. Definitely coming back to get my girl some Christmas gifts. Just wish there was a better parking situation.

Very poor customer service. I politely asked about a return policy and was rudely answered with a very snarky comment… To quote, «The minute it leaves my store, it’s not coming back.» Well, it didn’t leave their store and I won’t be returning.

I’ve been to Lake Tahoe for vacation and this shopping center plenty of times before and went in to this store a couple days ago with my mother and little sister, who is 5 years old.
Let me first say, that the merchandise is cute, and typical of a Quilsilver store. Secondly, the young woman working there was rude and had terrible customer service. She didn’t greet us in any way, even though she greeted others that came in after us. Do I sense an attitude to the fact that we are of asian descendant and the others in the store were white? She didn’t ask if we needed help while we were browsing, even though we were the only ones in the store after a couple minutes (they probably smelled her sour attitude before we did). She also snapped at my little sister for looking and poking at lights by the shoes and stepping on the first couple stairs in the back. Mind you, she can’t read the small sign that says «employees only» at the top of the stairs. I didn’t even notice it. The whole time we were in the store, she was tending to obviously more important things that were on the other side of the store (see my sarcasm?). We could’ve been the sale of the day, but her lack of customer service ruined that. We made like Julia Roberts in Pretty Woman and took our business elsewhere.

Walked in to look at bathing suits. And the girl had the WORST customer service ever. Took her about 15 minutes to even acknowledge me and say hi (even though I was the only customer in the store) and their small selection of bathing suits didn’t even make me want to buy one because that girl was so careless and had no people skills. Sorry… But I’m a LOCAL. You should find better employees.

Surprisingly large and well-​edited selection of active wear for a relatively small shop. I had never heard of the brand Roxy before, but count me in from now on.

Horrible customer service. Only one girl working. Gave really short answers when asking her questions. Tiffany was the sales persons name. I’m a retail manager and I would never have her on my team. I wouldn’t recommend shopping here when she’s working.

This Quiksilver is located in the Heavenly Village area of South Lake Tahoe. It has a small selection of beach /​summer wear to choose from. We stopped by here and grabbed a few of their Roxy flip flops which are super cute. I wasn’t really impressed with their bathing suits so I didn’t get any.

I am a fan of Quicksilver but not a fan of this store. The employees act like it’s too hard or difficult to open their mouths and greet customers. Maybe if you say hello how are today might help you gain a sale. Your a sales person do not act like your beyond that or something else! People have money to spend when they come on vacation but I am perfectly ok with spending my money at another store.

When I first came to Tahoe, my wardrobe just wasn’t ready, what with all the metrosexual styles I’ve adopted from living in hipster hubs (Austin, TX, SF Bay Area, etc.). Was able to get myself decked out here without too much pain in the $$ here, so definitely would recommend visiting this place if you’re looking to get outfitted.

Cool store offering a variety of apparel ranging from swim gear to summer dresses, flip flops and accessories to winter apparel. They offer other brands besides Quiksilver, such as Roxy and DC. They have some items on sale but still too pricey for me. Store is organized well, did not come into contact with any sales person (we weren’t greeted by anyone). Well decorated store. Surf boards in ceilings with framed posters on walls. Music is at a good noise level; loud enough that you can hear it and low enough that you can actually hear each other speak. Overall a pretty good store.

Quicksilver is a cute little shop in the large Heavenly Village Shopping Mall, right near the Gondolas, and just off Lake Tahoe Blvd near Stateline.
It has mostly Junior clothes, featuring ROXY brand casual clothes such as tops, hoodies, sweats, etc. It also has a miss mosh of apres snow related gear and shoes, but just a bit, not like a sporting goods or ski store.
Staff is friendly and helpful, but not aggressive.
I found a couple of items as gifts, a ROXY hoodie and shorts.

I have always been a Roxy girl… I love their fashion stuff, the shoes, the accessories, and most recently, my snowboard. This store is Quiksilver/​Roxy and carries both men’s and women’s sportswear and equipment. I am currently lusting over a pair of rhinestone studded goggles. This store is kind of small, but very comprehensive in terms of what Quiksilver and Roxy are all about.
