Description

Specialties

Year-round ATV, UTV and sand-buggy tours of the Pine Nut Mountains: Explore the high desert, a landscape studded with twisted junipers and perfumed with the scent of sagebrush. It is big, beautiful, and remote. This is the land of the mustangs; wild horses roaming free since the days of early explorers and travelers. (2 to 6 hr tours)

Seasonal ATV tours of the famous Rubicon Trail: Explore the challenges, thrills and history with your guide on arguably the most challenging four-by-four trail in North America. Experience firsthand the reason why it takes even the best of off-road enthusiasts two days to drive the 23 mile trail. (2 – 6 hour tours)

Seasonal Snowmobile Tours of Hope Valley: The Blue Lakes region region just south of Lake Tahoe offers some of the deepest snow pack on the west coast. The 2009 – 2010 winter snowfall tallied to a monumental 51 feet! Our guided snowmobile tours run from as early as October through late May. (2 – 6 hr trail and Ultimate (off-trail) tours)

History

Established in 1972.

You’re probably thinking about visiting our part of the world because of its spectacular beauty and unparalleled outdoor recreation opportunities.

Lake Tahoe Adventures was started almost 40 years ago — and is still owned and operated today — by a small Lake Tahoe family with a big love of the outdoors. This is our home and we like sharing the experience of it with our guests. We have safely guided hundreds of thousands of guests from all over the world out to see and do things that they just can’t experience back at home.

Take a break from the ordinary and discover the extraordinary. Let Lake Tahoe Adventures show you the Lake Tahoe region like you’ve never seen it before. From snowmobiling through the Hope Valley, to ATV tours exploring the famous Rubicon Trail and buggy rides over the Pine Nut Mountains, there is something for everyone!

Still, no two guests and no two tours are alike. We’re confident that we can show you a special adventure that you will remember for a lifetime.

Manager

Guiding outdoor adventures is not just a job, it’s a lifestyle. Our guides are backcountry experts, many of them spending well over 200 days a year out on the trails. That experience shows and it’s the best way to help you safely enjoy your big adventure. We’ll teach you to operate a snowmobile, ATV, UTV or buggy even if you’ve never ridden before. Then we’ll lead you into some of the most spectacular backcountry in the world, tell you a little bit about the land and its history, and bring you back smiling — and probably wanting to go again.
