One man shop — the owner. You always get treated like gold. The owner Mike is very reasonable in price and the quality of work is excellent. I am a women and he takes time to explain what (if anything) is wrong with the car. Many times it is a simple fix and you have to force him to take money. He will make an appointment and make sure he does not leave you stranded. He comes in under budget and in a timely manner.
I live in Tahoe and it is great to be able to recommend a service shop that is top notch.

Crows is the best mechanic I’ve ever found very good with subaru’s and a very good at diagnosing problems he’ll fix it right the first time and at a very reasonable rate have had him do a lot of work on both my subaru’s and I have never been disappointed. One time i Brought my car in he worked on it about an hour turns out I plugged in a diagnostic wire that wasn’t supposed to be plugged in he also adjusted my clutch then didn’t charge me a thing don’t waste your time anywhere else.

My family has a ski trip at Lake Tahoe. It was a great until I found my windshield wiper was not working. The road condition was so bad, and it can snow at any time. I have to drive five hours back to San Jose tomorrow. Thanks god I found Crow’s Auto Care on Unilocal.Eric (sorry if I misspelled your name) was supper nice and experienced. He has replaced a nut and fixed the wiper in a second. When I asked him how much I owed him, He just replied «It is not a big deal. You’re good to go. Drive safely.» IT IS A BIG DEAL TO ME, because you offer a warm hand when my family was in trouble. Eric you made my day. I wish I could gave you a thousand stars if I could.

We were on vacation in South Lake Tahoe over the long Thanksgiving weekend. Friday, around noon, we started smelling fuel and seeing smoke come out of our car’s engine. Now, we don’t know much about cars but we know that smoke is probably not a good thing.
We used Unilocal to find this shop and called them to see if they were open over the weekend. Mike answered the phone, patiently listened to our cry of distress and told us that he’ll put us on the schedule for Saturday morning.
When we drove into his shop two hours later, Mike opened up the hood, found the misbehaving (cracked) pipe/​hose/​line/​thing-​that-​moves-​fuel and told us he’d replace it on the spot. It took him about one hour to fix our car!
Oh, and his rate for parts and labor was very reasonable.

While on a drive from SF to S. L, Tahoe I noticed fuel leaking from the fuel line extending from my fuel filter to the oil pump on my beautifully restored 71′ Super beetle. I called an auto supply shop who said look up Crow’s — he said the mechanic here always works on Volkswagens; buggy owners know it takes someone with Classic VW experience to work on our babies. I was immediately impressed with Mike’s shop. He took me in right away. I won’t go into the technical details here but I was impressed with the following.

I found Mike Crows Auto both from information from here and from another service shop’s suggestion. I like the personal attention and not being one of many autos in a service station. Mike contacted me personally and set-​up an appointment. Then he personally and professionally spent that afternoon only on my truck. Mike even performed some maintenance on my SnugTop liner lock system. This was extra and beyond and Mike got it done for no extra charge. His dedication and passion is evident from the time you walk in the shop. A clean, organized and Eco-​Friendly environment.
Mike is fair and upfront at all times. No hidden costs and no hidden agendas. I have NEVER felt trust in an auto repairmen until I met Mike. If Mike were a pizza chain I think he would have a motto of «One of the last honest auto repair men.»

I have been taking my Subaru to Mike for as long as I can remember. Wouldn’t take it to any other mechanic, as he is by far the most honest and reasonably priced mechanic I have ever gone to.

I’ve historically hated taking my Honda Civic Hybrid to the mechanic. Not anymore. Mike is honest. His place is clean and has a good vibe (no tacky posters of scantily-​clad women bending over the hoods of sports cars.) He is a good communicator. He’s got a sweet dog and also works on bikes. He doesn’t break the bank or try to work you over because you are female. I would highly recommend this place to anyone, but especially women who are sick of feeling out of place in the auto shop. I would give 10 stars if I could!

Thank goodness for Unilocal!I moved to the area 1 year ago now. When I first moved here I needed to find my new auto guy and looked it up on Unilocal (not knowing anyone) and found Mike Crow. This guy is transparent in his business, with his motives being costumer service and the health of the vehicle. His first test showed I needed an alternator, but he knew the facts didn’t add up. After replacing the battery, cleaning the area, and finding a fuse to replace; he found an alternator not to be the issue and saved me a lot! Seems to me he could of just as easily saw the $ sign behind the alternator and not of taken the time to really find the issue. Thanks Mike! cya next time!

I have a Jeep Cherokee that is very temperamental some days it just will not start like it should and in the past it has died repeatedly while idling. I was nervous because anyone could make up myriad reasons what the issue could be, but Crow’s just replaced the obviously bad battery and then tried to recreate the issue. No luck this time, but I wasn’t over charged and I received some useful info. I’m trying to keep my old clunkers running as long as possible so I’ll definitely

It’s hard to find places that are willing and able to work on old VW vans, so I’m stoked that we now have Crow’s in town. My 85 Vanagon (Jenny) needed some work on the exhaust system, and Mike hooked her up perfectly. He also did a general checkup, and was able to explain everything to me very well. His price for all this was really reasonable. Whenever Jenny needs anything else, I’ll bring her back to Crow’s…

Mike will fix your car AND your bike AND recycle any oil and fluids. He’s also got some sweet 29’ers in the shop.

I was with a friend and she just needed an oil change in a hurry to get out of town that day, and they totally hooked her up. It was nice that they were able to help her even though they were busy.

I thought for sure when my ABS light stayed on, and I had ER SS on my dash gauge that I was going to be stuck taking my Subaru down to Carson, but Mike figured it out, it was due to my one tire that had to be replaced because it got all shreaded up inside, cause someone over at Les S. put clip weights on my tires, instead of strips, and the tire kept losing air. The one replacement tire causes the tire sensor to send different information then the other 3 tires.
Also was able to do my 30k mile service, plus oil change, new wipers, and new air filter Yeah!
New tires from Tirerack will be put on tomorrow by Eloise Automotive, so all 4 will match again, and I’ll be set for the winter :)

Crows bro!! transmission went bad on the way to tahoe. he hooked me up with a $ 2000 used tranny with 2 year warranty. installed for $ 600.finished it exactly when he said he
far so good tranny seem to be workin strong. definitely would recommend him to someone.
