Black Bear Trading

We went in looking for Tahoe playing cards and found ourselves browsing all the other goodies this store has. They have ample supply of Tahoe souvenirs and funny T-​shirts.
The lady working was super helpful and had a smile on her face the entire time– despite being open on Memorial Day when all the other souvenir shops were closed.

Similar to Lakeside Landing (
) this is a shop geared to tourists. But while Lakeside Landing had bits of everything, Black Bear Trading had more practical items like hats, sweatshirts, and pajamas.
The venue: part of a strip mall with newer stores.
On a quest for something pink, I scoured this shop like a flea on a dog. No spot was overturned. Time was of the essence, back to back upcoming events meant I needed to find something pink and I needed it now.
Sure I could have found something pink in another shop. But I’m cheap. I’m not about to throw down $ 30 bucks on something I wasn’t ever going to wear again.
Thankfully, Black Bear came to the rescue. Tucked in the back of the store, I found it.
Like a mirage in the dessert. The clearance rack called my name.
A pair of hot pants with «Tahoe» screen printed loud and bold across the butt. Because every woman wants something stamped across her a**.
But for $ 9.99 plus tax they were mine. And I was going to rock those hot pants (old lady style) at the «But I Never Inhaled» Pink Party (
).

They were open on Thanksgiving day. Stopped by to browse around & bought a few items.

I found this recently opened shop when looking for my «pink» element for an upcoming late night club party.
It seems apparent that South Lake Tahoe has ambitions of catering to a higher income class. While I understand for tourism and busines, I do like the nostalgia of the old days of mom and pop shops. This shop in the Château is a souvenir shop apparently related to/​associated with a nearby business with the same owner.
I was fairly focused shopping here; pink was my mission and pink was on my mind. I overlooked so much of what this shop has to offer. I do know this shop has lots of fun t-​shirts, sweat shirts and bottoms, pajamas, hats, and other Tahoe and mountain related gift and souvenir items. Very friendly service.
I found my pink here. A slightly throwback design Tahoe related subject logo on a pink t-​shirt; a good quality t-​shirt that will last.
