Basecamp South Lake Tahoe

This place is awesome! Clean, updated, and the décor is awesome. Looks like they bought they property of what used to be called The Block and The Capri and turned it into this amazing place. Really unique and cool place to stay. Love the fire pits and the chairs everywhere to sit.
I would give this place 5 stars but the rooms did not have AC. We came on a really hot week and the rooms were hot! There are ceiling fans and standing fans but, it was still hot. Also, we wanted to come for the beer garden but it’s only open Thursday — Sunday. Bummer!
Lastly the staff which was only 1 person each day was great. We felt bad for her because she was everywhere working her tail off. Hats off to her!

I booked a room here at Basecamp for my sisters wedding. Being that I waited last minute hoping I could get a deal and it was worth it so I thought.
I do love that Basecamp is a pet friendly motel. I mean for $ 40 pet fee for my whole stay you can’t beat that. That’s where everything else goes downhill from there.
At check in the young man that helped me was sort of a world class a*hole I mean geez he acted as though I was inconveniencing him. If it didn’t check in at 1am and hadn’t already paid upfront I would have just want to one of the larger Resorts. I give him my credit card and ID and he keeps looking at my ID and looking at me as though my looks changed or something not! Gives me stank face and gives me my ID back and reluctantly enters my credit card # for incidentals.
The lobby area is really nice and I love they have fire pits for s’mores or just to hangout and sing Kumbaya.
I get my room key and got to my room. I couldn’t believe how small my room was I mean for 2 people and 2 dogs it was not adequate space to move around without bumping into one another or accidentally stepping on a fur baby :/​
The room had a wall heater, a stationary fan and literally an ice chest you know the one that your dad would leave for work with? There are no ice machine and every single time I needed ice I would have to trek to the office and sometimes it was like pulling teeth to get ice if other guest were checking in that I ended up going to the store for ice.
The bed itself was okay expect for the dip in the center of the bed and I also had to request that the blankets and she’d be changed because hair was all on the sheets and blankets which makes my question the cleanliness of the linen.
The bathroom was rather tiny. Inside the shower they had dispensers of body wash, shampoo and conditioner which is good if you didn’t bring your own.
I do like that it’s a no smoking property as I don’t smoke but my honey wasn’t a happy camper and had to walk a little ways to enjoy her smokes. lol!
2 days of staying here I ended up checking out and going to a much better hotel due to the noise level. Other guest being loud etc. To be honest my last straw was some couple was arguing and his ol’ lady kicked my out butt naked no lie. Poor guy showed his goods to the world. As he plead to be let back in as others like myself were watching the drama unfold.
The breakfast lacked big time so I didn’t eat anything and just ate at restaurants at least I got a good breakfast, right?
I wouldn’t stay here again. The price is way to high for such mediocre accommodations and well the employee who checked me in pretty much sealed the deal for me.

Randomly chose this gem after scanning Unilocal for a few minutes and needing a place to stop for two nights after a cross country trip. The staff was amazingly accommodating! We are newbies to hiking and they helped us find great trails, they had the cutest little details, place smelled great, and the hot tub above the lobby has the sweetest view at night. They really made a road trip feel like a honeymoon.
This is a boutique hotel, with adventure themes – some of the info out there made me think we might be staying in something like a hostel but it’s a regular hotel, converted from an old snowboarding roadside hotel from what I could tell.
We will be back often now that we live in the Bay Area!

First, the positive: the facilities are nice. Good-​sized rooms (very basic, but they do the trick), nice fire pits and decks, a fun little beer garden, and the location is perfect for South Lake Tahoe.
Unfortunately, the service was really lacking and the management was completely disorganized. We got in late at night, wiped after several hours of driving, and there was nobody at the front desk to check us in. There was a sign with a phone number to call, but nobody picked up. Finally got a room when someone showed up after fifteen minutes… only to find that the room we were assigned had trash everywhere, dirty sheets and a really gross bathroom… had to go back to the desk, wait again, and get a different room. This one had been cleaned but smelled of cigarettes.
The breakfast is not as advertised… they charge for basic breakfast sandwiches, and when we tried to buy one they were ‘sold out’.
Finally, we got back and wanted to try making a smore in their fire pit but they shut everything down (including the fire pits) at 10pm due to noise and ‘light pollution’ complaints from the casino across the street.
For $ 200 a night, we should have just gotten a room at one of the casinos…

Hotel is amazing. Great rooms. Stayed here for a Bachelorette party with 7 girls in a room and had plenty of space. The room theme was adorable. The staff was friendly and accommodated whatever we needed. Big thanks to Amanda, she seemed to do literally do it all. We stayed 3 nights and she always seemed to be there working. Very friendly, hard working, and got us anything we needed. She made our stay very enjoyable. Will be staying here again next time I am in town. Hotel exceeds 5 stars.

I loved our stay at the Basecamp! I found this place as a compromise to tent camping but it ended actually being perfect for our adventures in Tahoe! I described it to my travelmates as «some hipsters bought up an old motel and renovated it and made it really fun and hip». Our room was pet friendly, pretty roomy to fit us 2 couples, and had a mini fridge and microwave.
It’s centrally located right off South Lake Tahoe Blvd so we were able to just cross the street to go to the casinos (Harrahs and Harveys) and there were a tons of restaurants and bars across the street from us in Heavenly Village and a Safeway within walking distance as well.
There’s a large open beer garden that you can hang out during the day and night with corn hole, ping pong tables, and fire pits where you can make smores! I don’t recommend staying here if you’re looking for peace and quiet as alot of the rooms face the beer garden. Breakfast includes coffee, oj, toast, DIY waffles, oatmeal, and some fruit. Pretty basic fare, but it was super convenient in the morning.
Also, props to the front desk staff who were ultra friendly and super helpful. They were super nice in helping us figure out which beach to bbq at that was also pet friendly and dealing with all of our endless questions.

This place is amazing! Service, accommodations, location… even limited pet-​friendly accommodations! I can’t wait to come back here!

I have mixed reviews about this place. let’s recap…
We made our reservation online, but forgot to request a room on the ground floor since one of the members in our party has a hard time walking up stairs. We were a few days away and needed to make a last-​minute change to the reservation after the third person in our group cancelled. The friendly staff member over the phone gave us a single bed room and gave us a complimentary upgrade to a second floor room!
Once we got there, check-​in was easy peasy and the woman working there was really helpful in telling us where to park and how to find our room. We found our room and it was sizable. The décor was simple and outdoorsy with a modern flair. The lighting was dim, but it still worked. Our TV did not. The cable connection made it unclear, but it was okay since we weren’t there to watch TV. The closet was large. I can see why people would come here during snow season because there was ample room for large jackets, snow boots, boards, skis, etc. The bathroom was tiny, but enough for us to maneuver around. The shower head was really really high up so you can’t adjust anything about it. It was nice that they had their shampoo, conditioner, and body wash all mounted on the wall in refillable bottles. Their set up really helps minimize waste in this world. It also helps those of us who have a tough time with unsqueezable bottles of shampoo.
When it came time for bed, the sheets were uncomfortable. A little itchy in fact. I’m not sure if it was due to the fact that there was a lot of starch or because they weren’t clean. My toes went under the top sheet and it caught a hair that was trapped between the sheets. I’m glad it was a long hair, but it was not the color of either of our hairs. Not sure if the hair was trapped in making the bed or what, but it was not something we wanted to find. We also happened to notice two stains on the bed. Two pee colored stains in my opinion, but let’s give them the benefit of the doubt and say it was orange juice stains. Still not something we wanted to find.
The facilities at Basecamp South Lake Tahoe are nice, especially for the more modern-​aesthetic loving folks. They have complimentary coffee and tea in their lounge and breakfast in the mornings. They have a beer garden, outdoor fire pits, heated pools, complimentary parking and WiFi which are great. The rooms, however, are not my fave.

Basecamp contacted me and has expressed actions in progress to remediate many of the issues I noted = much happier guest and will stay again ************************************
All in all I appreciate the idea behind Basecamp. However, considering the minimalist approach one would think the prices would be fair but they are in fact high for what you get.
Pros: Cute kitschy «camper» flair, complimentary breakfast, small bar, fire pits, hot tub, ping pong, decent bedding, clean, updated room.
Cons: Tight parking, lack of glasses in rooms, paper thin walls, small quarters, I like how they are using reusable shampoo bottles– but if they are not kept full they are difficult to pump, cleaning service came randomly at 4 in the afternoon
*beautiful, ideal location– when the parking garage/​condo is built in a few months the view will sadly be non existent
The cost for three nights left something to be desired, I want to love this place.

We traveled with my daughter’s dog Nala and we were welcomed and attended to at every step. The hot tub/​spa was terrific and ALL the staff (especially Caitlyn at the front desk and Wes the super handyman on premises) were kind, gracious, and friendly. The beds were firm and comfy!
My only suggestion is that they could beef up the breakfast. It is too minimalist. I expected more than pancakes, toast, coffee, and juice (My daughter and I are on a low carb, high protein régime). Hopefully the next time we stay there they will have eggs, yogurt, etc. to round out the menu. And how about some bagels and cream cheese? A lovely young lady named Rachel was attending there and doing a great job meeting the needs of the breakfast diners.

Found this place on HotelsTonight. The pictures looked great, what really drew me in was the new, fun looking rooms, the smores by the fire, hot tubs, wine and beer bars. Yep, need I say more?
I got in quite late that night, mainly due to traffic. Nonetheless, Michael the general manager greeted me with a smile, and was super helpful. I really appreciated that.
After I got settled in my room, I went back down to the lobby and asked Michael for a smores kit, along with a glass of red wine. Their selections of wine were solid, I would get their Barbera, really good.
I took my glass of wine and smore kit out on to the front patio by the lobby, and made my smoresby the fire. It was all so wonderful.
After I was done, I went upstair and slept soundly in my bed. Took a nice shower with their fun toiletries in the shower, and got ready to start my ski day!
My walk was 10 minutes to the Heavenly Gondolas, which was perfect. At the end of the day, I walked back to the hotel, and went their break area (where they also serve complimentary a light, but ample breakfast in the morning!), and got a good draft beer in a pint glass. I also got some beer and cheddar dip nuggests, it was great way to end the day. If I wasn’t so tired from skiing all day, I would have went in the awesome hot tub, that was right by the break area. How fun for everyone staying there!
Check out was easy the next morning, which was also nice.
In short, this place is great, tucked away, great price, awesome service. Yes, it can get noisy (older hotel, and families tend to stay here too), and it isn’t a five star, but it is pretty darn good, and exudes the essence of Tahoe modern lodging.
I certainly will be back! I strongly suggest you give this place a try!

If you’re familiar with the Ace Hotels, then you’ll appreciate Basecamp, a former motel-​turned-​hipster paradise that’s walking distance of the main street of South Lake Tahoe. You can walk to the Heavenly gondola to go skiing during the day and head over to the casinos to gamble at night.
The room we stayed in was cozy; they’ve modernized the rooms, so there’s central heat and keyless entry. But otherwise, it’s a motel-​style environment where you can park right outside your room (which is actually kind of nice, since you don’t have to haul your ski gear very far. Or kind of bad if there’s a snow storm, since your car will get covered with snow.)
We walked into the hotel bar one night only to be greeted by a group of mountain hipsters sitting around in a circle with a guitar and banjo singing Mumford and Sons-​type songs over beers. It’s that kind of place. They have free breakfast in the morning; when we went it was DIY waffles and fruit.

Stayed at Basecamp for SnowGlobe 2016.
This place is by far the best hotel/​motel in South Lake Tahoe. The environment is awesome! They have camp fires and a smores happy hour, complimentary breakfast, and a full bar with ping pong and other activities. The complimentary breakfast kicked ass! It wasn’t you muffin and cereal breakfast you find at a La Quinta! The breakfast was waffles, fresh juice, toast and some other items. I felt like I was at whole foods.
5 stars!

Basecamp South Lake Tahoe is a pretty cool place to stay. Almost too cool. From the hipster touches to the beer garden, this is an oasis for those looking for a rustic, «lodge-​y» place. It is not for those expecting luxury, but it does have some nice touches.
I was expecting a re-​vamped motel, and this fit the bill. Whomever bought this old motel took the 40’s/50’s «lodge» theme and ran with it. The lobby is great– huge leather couches with a fireplace, wi-​fi and a small wooden bar in the corner. Coffee is available all the time, and the small reception desk hugs the side. Speaking of reception, the girl at the reception was super nice and very helpful when we had any questions. One of the male workers seemed annoyed. Parking is cramped, but most of the spots are semi-​close to the rooms.
As for the rooms, they are what you call «cozy». I had to remind myself that this was an old motel that had a face-​lift. Truth, the rooms are tiny… there are other options and bigger rooms but we had the standard queen. I suppose back in the day these motels had small rooms so travelers could get in and out. During the summer I could see this being ideal. Unfortunatly it was cold and rainy so we spent a little more time in the room.
However, it was cute, with wooden picture frames and a huge vintage looking map on the wall over the bed. A great bed in fact, the best part of my stay! These must be new mattresses because I slept like a baby on a cloud. In addition, everything was spotless.
They have a courtyard space with fire pits, an open air beer garden and a small breakfast included in your rate. While the breakfast had mostly carb options, the hot coffee and tea was welcome. Note– no vending machines. The walls are thin, you can hear every single step, noise, creak, conversation, outside your door. Luckily the bed was so comfy I just lay there like a log.
If the bed was nice and the lobby was cool, why only 3 stars?
For the price, its not the best value. Rustic almost to a fault, this appeals to hipsters and those who want to pretend they are «roughing» it. It is a theme motel. The rooms and bathrooms are tiny and I feel like they spent so much on renovation they now have to be cheap with the soap or shampoo. Minimalist. I do think they did a great job in taking a run-​down motel and updating it for a new generation. Add a few amenities, train staff a little more and come down on the price, and we are at 4 stars. A nice play to stay without the extras.

I’m such a sucker for hipster flair. All this embracing of retro-​ness, old things made cool again, and kitschy vintage décor… I eat it up. So, when I first laid eyes on Basecamp I was like Yesssssssss.
I love that they’re doing something daring and different. It’s not your typical hotel with all the fancy amenities, but the sparse comforts they do provide are good quality. Mainly, the amazingly comfortable beds and pillows. Extras like the huge hot tub, beer garden with affordable drinks, and s’mores kits and firepits were charming perks. Things you might miss: plush towels, ice maker, real glasses in your room, and hangers (I had 1 lone hanger in my room. Sad.)
I love the «dining hall» where the free breakfast is served. It feels like camp. I enjoyed the oatmeal in mason jars, but would have enjoyed some non-​carb options too. I guess you get what you pay for!
The reception area is also cute, with big leather couches and café tables where you can chill. Tea & coffee are always available here.
Though the traditional «frills» are minimal, but the creative extras and rustic theme make Basecamp feel special. I’d stay again, but next time pay extra for a balcony room.

«The Great Indoors» was my home away from home for three nights during Unilocal’s Tahoe Getaway… the price was right and so was the location, but there were a handful of things about this hotel and my room itself that were left to be desired. That being said, if you don’t mind «roughing it» in Tahoe, this place (and «the Great Indoors» room) may be exactly what you’re looking for.
I wasn’t expecting the Ritz-​Carlton by any means, but I will leave a bit of constructive feedback below:
–The front desk staff was welcoming upon arrival, but not the friendliest… a smile goes a long way; especially when someone arrives after a long trek to come see you!
–The WiFi at this hotel is very spotty; something to keep in mind if you plan on getting work done during your stay.
–Breakfast (both food and service) could use some work.
–The carpet on the outdoor stairs is falling apart.
–There aren’t any incidentals available…
IE: bottled water for purchase? nope
Tampons, Advil, or Tyelenol? nope
(Thankfully there is a CVS within walking distance)
–The water temperature in the shower in my room was difficult to get just right.
On a positive note, this hotel is eco-​friendly… the shampoo and conditioner in the shower is available from a large pump instead of giving each guest individual minis. That counts for an extra star, right?!

BaseCamp Tahoe shall be a 3 and forever a 3! And why…
For starters, parking are so cramp, and not enough parkings. But overall, BaseCamp says its all, I surely felt like I was camping. The luxury isn’t there, but have to ask for it… For example, when I wanted to iron my clothing attire for my «Outfit of the Day», I have to go to the front desk and wonder why ironing board and an iron isn’t provided to iron my clothes, and have no time to go to the nearest drug store to buy one! Well technically, they dont have them in the rooms, because I suppose they only have a few in stock and must be asked when needed at the front desk and bring it to your own room! Grrrrr…
And speaking of breakfast, breakfast is a joke, they dont offer good variety of breakfast to chow down. All they had was waffles, an Orange Juice, coffee, and oatmeals in a masonic jar. LOL! They dont have the basics, like cereals and milk, no bacon, and hot chocolate milk. And where they had the breakfast, it was sooooooo cold! The only warmth I use was seating next to a window where a sun was shining to me, and off course holding my coffee cup that I didn’t drink… Not a huge fan of coffee, but used the cup for warmth to warm my hands.
Overall, its an a-​ok place to stay! Just be warned that (1)parking is going to be very tight, (2)ask for iron & ironing board as needed at the front desk, (3) go eat breakfast somewhere [LOL].
Other than that, enjoy your stay at Tahoe. :}
Oh, and one last thought, their free wifi is crap! Most of the time, their wifi signal buffers… Thanks. Used up my data instead from time to time for emergency to netflix & chill.

During our amazing Lake Tahoe Getaway, my husband and I stayed at the Basecamp Hotel. We booked The King Balcony room — as the name describes it was a room with a king bed, a balcony, and it looked identical to the pictures online. Love might be a little extreme, but it must have been love. From the awesome fixtures (cute industrial pipes for our towels), the wood bathroom mirror and sink, and the fun pictures hung everywhere, it was a great room. The bed especially felt luxurious and we slept great every night of our three night stay. (Except Saturday night but that’s only because some drunk guy decided to pound on our neighbor’s door at 2am screaming he had to pee.)
One night we used the hot tub and then roasted marshmallows by the open fire. It was a lot of fun and I would highly recommend it. The hotel sells s’mores kits for $ 2 up front and it comes with marshmallows, chocolate, and graham crackers. On top of these great amenities, there was a continental breakfast every morning — coffee, juice, cereal, toast, and even a waffle bar where you could make your own waffles. The coffee was delicious and the waffle maker was fun to work. At night, the breakfast bar turned into a Beer Garden including several beers, wines, and cocktails. The Beer Garden was surround by a grassy common area with several fire pits. It was beautiful at night and very cozy.
Additionally, there was plenty of parking and the hotel staff we interacted with was very nice and accommodating. Plus, it was centrally located to all the activities we wanted to enjoy. Overall, I’d highly recommend this hotel. It was relatively inexpensive (thanks to our discounted rate for Unilocal’s Tahoe Getaway), the rooms were clean and fun, and the amenities were fantastic. I can’t wait to come back!

I’m going to give Basecamp a 4 star review…
If you want something centrally located, walkable to tons of things, friendly staff, free wifi, affordable, and clean, this is the place for you.
This is not luxury accommodations… and I was fine with that. I didn’t expect to spend much time in the room besides sleeping.
Our room had two queen beds, a nice sized bathroom (but a TINY shower that I kept smacking into a wall every time I turned around), a complimentary hairdryer, shampoo/​condition/​bodysoap built into the shower, tons of hangers, a desk, tv, and an ipod alarm thing. I’m calling it that but I really don’t know what it was… I think it was a charger/​alarm thing. The pillows were so huge and comfortable.
Parking can be a problem here. There’s underground parking but the layout is awful– it’s an accident waiting to happen.
They do offer breakfast, but no protein options. Granola, waffles, coffee, toast… it’s basic. I’m going to call it a ‘pre-​breakfast’ because two hours later, I wanted breakfast.
So, why not 5 stars?
Every place I’ve ever stayed at has always included a shower cap with all the bathroom stuff. Our patio screen door was torn from the seams. It’s almost like someone had a REALLY good time on that balcony and fell through the screen door.
All in all, I would stay here again.

I loved this hotel! For some reason I was expecting a bigger place, but this hotel is bigger than it looks from the road. We got to check in early which was a plus, and the girl at the reception was so nice. We checked in and reparked our car for right in front of our room.
The rooms are so cozy! Lots of cute little touches, and clean. By the time we booked our room for the event we were attending here, the king size beds were sold out so we got two full size beds. Hey, I don’t mind my own bed once in awhile so no biggie. We proceeded to immediately pass out. I blame the beds, they were so comfortable! We then woke up and went on with our evening; at the end of the night we grabbed a board game and played next to the fire pit on their patio. They also have a courtyard and beer garden!
You can hear the neighbors pretty well, at least if you are on the bottom so I recommend trying to get a second floor room which I usually do but forgot about this time. Also, no vending machines or any kind of food besides when breakfast is going from 7−10am.
We both slept really well. We grabbed breakfast in the morning which is where the beer garden is. Waffles, toast, coffee, tea, etc. However no protein so I didn’t exactly get filled up, luckily we were headed to brunch after!
My only complaint is that there were only tissues in the box and almost no conditioner or body wash, would have been nice if it was filled up. There was also a wasp in the bathroom but that must have just snuck in. Sorry for any other guests who heard my horrified scream upon seeing it ;)

Nice Stay, BUT A Few Issues Still Left Me «Hanging»
SITREP
As part of Unilocal Tahoe Getaway (YTG) 2015, this was a partner-​hotel for the YTG 2015 Weekend events, not only for lodging, but also being the site-​location of the major Saturday evening event in their beergarten.
THE SETUP
I could see myself come back again, but Basecamp is not without issues.
THE PROS
These usually are expected at any professional lodging establishment, so I’m not going to go into great detail. But there were some great things worth noting:
* Got a great rate for the room through the Group rate
* The King Bed was very comfortable!
* LOVED having both the ceiling fan and the stand-​alone fan to cool off the room:
* The shower had great water pressure and always was hot when I wanted it.
* I didn’t usually have any problem parking (except for trying to find a spot when the Sat evening Unilocal Blue Bash event was getting set-​up and ready to go, but that was the ONLY time)
* The art & room décor was very vibrant & warm. I liked the Lake Tahoe tapestry over the bed. I also loved the J.R.R. Tolkien excerpt from his «All That Is Gold Does Not Glitter» poem:

All-​in-​all, main lodging metrics were okay for this stay. So let’s get into the negatives, starting with the big one I had to endure.
THE «UBER”-CON — NO HANGERS — I noticed this right away when I first went to unpack my suitcase and there was nothing to hang ANY of my clothes on:
I went down to front desk during this Thursday evening check-​in, and mentioned this issue for my room #205 to my check-​in clerk Marta. She said she’d have housekeeping get me hangers that evening while I was out at the first two (2) events. Came back — still no hangars.
This process repeated itself twice again — Friday morning & again Friday afternoon: I share the problem with front desk — this time a blonde gal — and also said the issue would be corrected with housekeeping, but again I get back to the room and still no hangers. At this point, I just laid out the clothes I needed to hang: on furniture, back of chairs, and/​or the side of the king bed I wasn’t sleeping on that night. [Actually, for a couple of jackets, the railroad spikes in the front room were sufficient for them — but certainly not adequate to hang dress shirts.]
The main frustration comes that this was never resolved: if you have to ask the staff to rectify the SAME problem, on THREE separate occasions, and they do NOT, how would that make anyone feel in the face of such an obvious refusal to correct?
ADDITIONAL CONS
There are also items that a lodging establishment at this «price-​point» can do better:
* LACK OF ICE ACCESSIBILITY — there are no ice machines available on the premises for patrons to directly access — you either have to get staff to give it to you from their machine in the front office or from the beergarten. However, after these areas shut-​down (sometime between 11pm-​Midnight) then there is no ice accessibility on the premises. But with our late night cocktail parties in our room, it’s not like we didn’t want ice, because we DID.
* INADEQUATE BREAKFAST FOR LODGING RATE — «Hot Breakfast» (when offered as an incentive to secure patronage) is better with appropriate diversity as when compared with competitors with their free incentivized «hot» breakfast options (ie. Lake Tahoe Resort, Rodeway Inn, etc.) — Basecamp totally lacked sufficient protein options (no meat, no eggs, no cheese, etc.) and really only focused on carbohydrates.
Only «hot”-food aspect was a waffle you needed to make yourself, but again, a carbohydrate option. Most people in our crew ended up going out to get a protein-​option breakfast, or luckily crashed the much better free breakfast options with friends staying at the Lake Tahoe Resort, the OTHER hotel-​partner for the weekend. [Even my buddy Eugene who stayed at the nearby Rodeway Inn, had a greater variety of protein options with his breakfast.]
THE LOWDOWN
I’m still giving Basecamp three (3) stars because I’m taking the totality of my entire experience into account. So depending the rate available for my next stay in South Lake Tahoe, I’d certainly consider being back here in comparison to rates elsewhere.
But by the same token, if there is another hotel that provides the same service, but at significant lower rate, given my current experience with Basecamp, I would definitely consider staying elsewhere given the negatives I mention above that I already had to endure.

Simples e perfeito! Essa é a melhor definição para o Basecamp. O staff foi fantástico! Os produtos de higiene são os mais cheirosos de todos os hoteis que já fiquei nos EUA. E a cama… Super confortável! A localização é ótima! E ainda fica bem na divisa com Nevada, caso você queira jogar um pouco, basta andar um pouquinho. Com certeza voltaremos.

Ich war zuerst skeptisch aber das Basecamp ist ein total gemütliches Motel mit einfachen aber sehr sauberen Zimmern. Die Einrichtung ist sehr detailgenau gestaltet und es macht richtig Spass dort zu wohnen. Die Restaurants sind in Fusswegdistanz und die Staatsgrenze von Nevada mit Casino einen Steinwurf vom Motel entfernt. Jederzeit gerne wieder.
