Great to have this group in SLT. Came through for me today with a wifi router and peripherals.

Guys did help me to fix my european adapter for my laptop. Good job guys and thank you again.

Alpine computers is the place to go with their friendly service and fast and flawless work I was very satisfied. Thanks for repairing my iPhone alpine computers. In the future if I ever have a misfortune with any of my electronics alpine computers will be the place I will go.

Thought I would give this place a second chance after having a previously not so great experience-​I was however disappointed once again. Try Lake Tahoe Computers instead

The best! Josh gives the best customer service! We had a couple issues with my iPhone 6 and he didn’t stop until it was fixed! Hands down best around, will definitely go to them for everything from here on out! Great job!

This guy put a screen on my phone. Once it was not put on successful because he didn’t know what he was doing with my iPhone 6, he STOLE my click bar which makes my button click. Took it to apple since I live in SF and not only did they take that but, they never put back the 2 screws on the very bottom of the phone. Don’t go here! RED FLAG! I’m horribly upset because he took over a hour to take it apart. Took my parts and didn’t do what he said. BAD BUSINESS.

Great service! Friendly and prompt. Got a virus and the techs at Alpine took care of the issue within 24 hours. Would recommend this shop to anyone who needs computer assistance.

It’s been a week since I had my phone screen repaired and it already has a crack in it. I haven’t dropped it or anything! I was told by the clerk that they got all their screens from Apple. Obviously this was a lie as the screen is terrible.
So I broke my phone screen, and I needed to get it repaired, I looked around and called around and this was the only place in South Lake that answered the phone or returned my call. It was a little more expensive then I was hoping at 140.99 but I needed it fixed ASAP. They quoted me an hour for the time it would take to fix my phone and said they would call when it was done, so after it had been 1 ½ hours since I dropped off the phone I decided to call and check to see if they had finished. They told me on the phone that they had been super busy and it would be about another 30 minutes and again said they would call when it was done. Skip ahead another 1 ½ hours, still no call. I decided to call them again and they told me my phone had been done for an hour. They said they called and the phone was busy, except no one in my home was on the phone, and we received no call.
We go to pick up the phone and I pay for everything and leave. I get in the car and as we are driving home I notice that the whole left side of my touch screen wasn’t working. So we turned around, I went back upstairs and the clerk said the screen was defective. He took changed the screen for me again at no extra cost and it took him 20 minutes.
While I was in there waiting to address the fact that my phone screen was not working correctly after the repair I witnessed another customer nearly leave without the charger for her computer, she let the clerk know she didn’t have the cord and he spent 20 minutes looking for it and couldn’t find it, so he took another customers cord and handed it to the women, and said «here this fits, just take it.»
I don’t know if I would return here again unless it was an emergency.

Great shop. super friendly and willing to give the time to answer all your questions. super knowledgeable and don’t try to upsell you at all.

Walked in to get an Apple Macbook adapter.
They told me they are out of stock. I asked where else sells them and the guy went to the back and said «you know what, I found one» and brought one out that had no brand.
I was looking at it strangely and asked if it’s OEM and he said it’s a knock off. They offered me a knock off for $ 65 which is really not bad, but knock offs could be bought for ~$ 30 online.
Then I was about to back out then he went to the back again and strangely found the real one priced at $ 85. It was missing the box and the longer extension cable for the adapter and it looked a little used (with scuffs here and there), but I needed the power adapter so I bought it.
I can’t recommend this place because I can’t trust them.
Next time, please just be straight forward with my options.
Try Staples first for hardware needs.
Update: I tried their «legit» version I paid over MSRP for and it’s heating up (like burning hot). Just stay away from buying items from here. There’s a good reason why it says that they don’t accept returns.

As good as it gets! iPhone 6 screen broken. Brought it in and picked it up less then an hour later. Friendly service. Doesn’t get better then that!

Visited Tahoe and my iPhone just died on me. They were very fast and professional. Definitely will go to if needed again.

I was having issues with my Macbook booting and brought it into these guys to see what they could do. After a few hours trying to load the OS onto a bootable USB, which I had to purchase because of the size of the file, we weren’t able to make any process and decided it was a hardware issue and best taken care of by Apple. They ended up not charging me for the work and for the USB drive, because they couldn’t fix my problem. Thought that was really great, and I’d go back to them again if I was in the area.

Had an iphone5 that was a little rough around the edges, cracked screen and a smoked battery. I called and spoke to Dustin, he told me I could bring the phone in right away if I wanted. I brought it in and had it back with a new screen and new battery within 2 hours! He even gave me a discount when I expressed the repair might be a little out of my budget! Alpine computers for the win! Thanks Dustin!

I forgot my charger so instead of driving to Carson City, Alpine Computers was able to sell me a charger at a great price. Thanks!

I always take my computer and all computer related questions to thesw guys. They have all helped me, especially Jake! I highly recommend them!

Big rip off and terrible customer service. They will charge you a premium for repairs that they get to after 3 weeks or longer. Then, they don’t call you to tell you its done. 2 of my friends and me dropped our computers to get hard drives replaced. They did not tell us that the operating systems are not compatible with ANYTHING! Then you try to sell or trade the computer with them and they say its not worth anything! DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND DRIVE DOWN VALLEY! HUGE RIP OFF!

Coming to Alpine Computers feels a lot like getting robbed right on the street. I give this place ¹⁄₅ stars and stand behind my review of this place 100%.
I left my laptop here to get a quote on how much it would cost to replace a few pieces of the hardware such as the screen /​hinges. I came in already stating the screen and hinges are what needed to be replaced and so there was clearly no guess work as to what was wrong with the laptop.
These guys quoted me $ 300 for the exact parts I found selling online for $ 100. They also wanted $ 150 for the labor which would take no more than an hour of work for someone who knows what they are doing. I said forget it and went to pick up my laptop.
When I came to pick up the laptop I was charged $ 45 for a «diagnostic» fee meaning that somehow this business feels that they can justify charging me $ 45 for a supposed «diagnostic» of my laptop when I clearly stated exactly what was wrong with the computer and exactly what I needed replaced when I first walked in… somehow they call looking at the model number of my computer and then doing a Google search for the replacement parts a «diagnostic» worth $ 45.
I thought diagnostic meant looking for a problem that hasn’t already came to light? How can you be performing a diagnostic if I already stated exactly what I needed replaced?
So not only will this place bone you for as much money as they possibly can, but they will also charge you a silly amount of money when NO WORK was done WHATSOEVER. or you will not receive your computer back from them if you refuse to pay it.
I have never been to any other computer business in my life that charges you for NOTHING. Every computer store I have ever been too has told me they wouldn’t charge me unless they actually fixed my problem for me. What kind of business charges it’s customers when the customer receives NO VALUE from the experience whatsoever?
If you don’t give two sh! ts about your hard earned money… this is where you want to go if you have any computer needs. If you do care about not getting boned out of your money I would HIGHLY SUGGEST staying away from this place. Check out some of the other computer shops in Tahoe… this place is a rip!
I will be sharing my bad experience of this place with the Better Business Bureau as well.
This message is for the owner — There is no possible combination of words that you can say to me to justify over charging for replacement parts by a few hundred bucks and worst yet… charging me $ 45 when absolutely nothing was done to my computer in terms of repair and there was no information provided to me about my laptop that I didn’t already know. That’s straight up THEFT right there. Bad business get bad reviews. Simple as that.
I would be willing to do a RE-​EDIT of this review if this business came to it’s senses and gave me my $ 45 back for the useless visit.
