Alpaca Exotic Imports

As soon as we walked in the rude owner yelled my husband because his shoes tracked in snow. Hello people this is Tahoe. We promptly walked out never to return.

First of all, this place is now at 4000 Lake Tahoe Blvd, in the Raley’s shopping center. The 4118 address is now a dog supply store (visited on 7÷15÷2015). The phone number for this store is (530)544−3231. The sign in the store says Alpaca Exotic Imports, but the receipt just says Alpaca Products. So the actual name is a little confusing.
While looking for rugs, we checked out both this store and the one next to the gas station across the street. I really wanted a soft rug with a deep pile. This place is slightly more expensive, but I ended up buying my rug there because I thought it felt softer and thicker. The salesman was friendly and knowledgable. I was very tempted by their alpaca «Russian hats» at $ 80, but didn’t get one.
In short, both alpaca shops are worth shopping. The one by the gas station has more junky looking stuff (for example, alpaca hats dyed shocking orange), but it has some fun products at good prices. I think this place has more consistently high quality and less junk.

Amazing store with a lot of great things. Bought a rug for our master bedroom and a large bear for my son. Very satisfied with the purchase. Salesman is very nice and helpful.

I was was looking at the shops by Raley’s after snowboarding with my family and came across this Alpaca shop. This was a big store with lots of variety. I was really impressed with the quality of the products. I ended up buying a rug for my house and some boots for my wife.
Before i bought i found out that this store has the same owner as the one by pioneer trail/​subway/​711 and the one by boardinghouse in the village shops. Knowing this i saw that there was a different alpaca shop across the street that had a different storeowner so i went to compare. The prices were a little better but i didnt think the quality was the same.
I would highly recommend the store by Raley’s. I love my rug and my wife wears her boots any chance she gets. The salesman there, i think his name was Josh, was excellent and very knowledgeable.
