We enjoyed lunch on the patio one of the last warm days of the season. Everything was good… just basic American dishes. I think the fries were the best thing anyone ordered though. Fantastic course salt and crispy deliciousness. Supposedly they have live music on weekends. This would be a fun place to hand out after golfing across the street and having some drinks & apps.

Sadly it is a fancy Denny’s with fresh ingredients. The service was mediocre for being one of four small groups in the whole place. The hamburger was good and the bun was spectacular but no one at my table indicated that they would order what they got again.

Even though our server seemed to be new, the service was excellent. The food was gross. Between 4 of us each ordering different things, we could not find any meal worth revisiting for. None of us even finished half our meals. Definitely a bummer.

I’ve eaten here a couple times now and tried a few different dishes. The food is a little over priced for what you get, but the food is not too bad. The service is great and the atmosphere is very nice too. Its a good place for groups and meetings too.

I’m knocking this down one star for the recent changes. Everything feels like it’s taken a bit of a hit lately, aside from the service(which is still great). The food has been lackluster, although there are new menu options, which I appreciate. It’s just not blowing me out of the water with the YUM factor.

I love this place! The service and the food are great! My Wife and I have been here 3 times and have never been dissapointed. They give you a good size amount of food for the price and the wait staff is very attentive. The bbq ribs were very good! We will be back often, South Jordan really needed this place since there are too many chain’s in this city.

I really wanted to like this place because I like the name. Actually it sounds like a cute mom and pop diner. I pulled up and couldn’t have been more wrong. Is this a chain? It looks and tastes like one. I came here on a Saturday with my family and everything was disappointing. The hostess didn’t seem to care to help me find my family when I got there though she was kind enough to tell me I could wander the restaurant looking for them. At least our waitress was really sweet and checked in on us regularly. Our table had the prime rib sandwich, philly cheese, fish and chips, and ham and brie sandwich. The only decent thing was the fish and chips and it wasn’t spectacular. All three sandwiches were really dry. The brie was a giant chunk of coldness. I love brie and lots of it but if it’s on a sandwich, it needs to be melted and turned into ooey gooey goodness. Both my mom and I got side salads and they were so bland. The cajun fries were not awful so there’s that… All of the dishes we ordered were on their specials menu so maybe their other food is better? I don’t think I care to find out.

One of the worst lunches I have ever had. Worst attempt of meatloaf ever. I will never go back. Service was good at least.

A great new local favorite. When first arrived it was well past lunch time, so there were few patrons in the restaurant. Normally, I expect token service at these times of the day but wow was I mistaken. We were served with some of the best service I have had in the area. Our hostess sat us quickly and knowledgeably answered our questions before letting us know who our waitress would be. Once our waitress arrived, with a huge beaming smile, all of our questions were answered quickly and correctly. After making the tough decision on what to order, we finally did. A reasonable amount of time later our food arrived. It was all fresh and fantastic. Not being native to the area, I was thrilled to hear that the artwork was by a local artist that painted several landmark places around the Salt Lake City area. I thought this was a great and classy touch. I love supporting local establishments when I can and was really happy to see on that supports their own local artists. This is sure to become a frequent destination for us.

So far, I’ve visited Fin & Norah’s twice, with the intention of continuing my visit. I live close to Sugarhouse, so driving all the way to South Jordan, the place definitely has to have some great draw and appeal to me, and this place certainly does. The service is always kind and I’ve never experienced any negativity here. I’ve had the Calimari appetizer, which wasn’t for my liking, although well prepared, and the dipping sauce was great. Also have had a caramel milk shake, which was so amazing, it wasn’t too sweet and had a great flavor. The last item I ordered, was a Philly Cheese Steak sandwich, with the Cheeze-Whiz sauce. I ate it all. My diner mate ordered a chicken bacon sandwich, the chicken breast was too dry for her liking, and they quickly and kindly resolved the problem. I enjoy the fact that much of their menu items are local, one can really taste it in the food. If you’re in the area, or looking for a new place to check out, I would enthusiastically suggest Fin & Norah’s.

Let me begin by stating that we are not easily put off at a restaurant, and can tolerate quite a bit of excusable bad behavior. That being said, I’ll start with the good first. Our online reservations were honored on time, and we were seated promptly. The restaurant was clean and light, with a comfortable sports-bar atmosphere(only a few changes from the sports bar that was in this location just prior). TVs are placed around the bar area so pretty much anywhere you are is a good viewing seat. They have a full bar and a large drink menu. Their food menu is also large and somewhat eclectic. They offer several categories of reasonably-priced menu options; soups, salads, burgers, sandwiches, pizza, and plated entrees. Although there are no dessert options listed on their menu, they do offer dessert. Now, the bad. The service was confusing and sub-par at the onset. Our server was virtually void of personality, and seemingly disgusted with his job. He barely greeted us after showing up at our table well after we were seated. He was visibly irritated when either(1) we asked any questions about the menu selections; or(2) we asked for anything that he didn’t think to bring us, like straws, napkins, and appetizer plates(really?). More than once, he turned and walked away while we were still asking questions. Forget about getting any drink refills — even water. He rolled his eyes at us when we asked a second time. He was replaced, without explanation, by a different server who was much better and didn’t seem to mind assisting us. But, by then, we had already completed our meals. We ordered the fresh lettuce cups and potato chip nachos for appetizers. They were both pretty good. However, once the meals came, a quick survey of our party of six revealed that NOONE liked their food. Here’s what we tried: margherita pizza, chicken cordon bleu, philly cheesesteak sandwich, and the hot Italian sub sandwich. Amazing that out of six people, all with very different tastes, we couldn’t find anyone who was satisfied with the taste of the food. Before our experience here got underway, we noticed they also offered a good-looking breakfast menu, and were excited to come back and try it. Not so much now… we won’t return.

So so happy to have Fin & Norah’s in the South Valley. We are always trying to support the local places(especially local places that source and support more local growers and vendors!) and were excited to see them open up. Have eaten here twice so far — everything’s been excellent. The handmade potato chips they give you are great. I’ve had the BBQ burger(love the Stoneground bun!) and the pulled pork sandwich. Both were excellent. Husband has had the Reuben sandwich and a pizza(jalapenos and chorizo I think?). Good beers on tap. A giant menu. I hope that the construction outside means they’re building an outdoor seating area! A real standout for me are the kids meals. HUGE portions. And great, healthy food. No Kraft mac and cheese here. My 4 year old always gets carrot sticks as his side and yesterday was served about 50 sticks … he was in heaven. They of course love the free scoop of ice cream that comes with the meals, too. The service as well has been outstanding. Both of our waiters were knowledgeable, attentive and kind. Yesterday our guy volunteered to track down some saltines for my getting-grumpy almost-2-year-old. Love this place. Love that they’re in the community, are affordable, serve good American food. And love that they’re on Twitter and thanked me for my tweet praising them! ;] Will be back. Please visit this place so it doesn’t leave the area like other great local places have!(Still mourning MacCools!)

This place has only been open a few weeks and is really nice local place that has some true character — very nice to see in the part of the valley that is dominated by chains. They have a huge menu selection — sandwiches, burgers, pizza and lots more. Went here for lunch and had the Santa Fe Burger. The service was very good, responsive and friendly. My burger was very tasty and their fries are hand-cut. Had some cajun wing apps that were great. We didn’t have dessert, but the menu looked great, and they make their own ice-cream.
