Description

Specialties

We really cook your food. Burgers are grilled (from raw) when you order them. Chicken takes a minimum of 20 minutes because it doesn’t set around under a heat lamp, it’s cooked for you when you order it. We have customers that drive hours, just for our homemade cream of mushroom soup. Soups are all made from scratch. We prepare wood fire specialties on Friday and Saturday nights. Wood fire pizza is available from April thru mid October. This is a traditional «roadhouse», in the original 70 year old building. We are always working on making improvements, to the old building and grounds. And the menu changes twice a year. Karaōke with laser light show, and dance music every Friday night at 9:15pm. Live bands perform every Saturday at 9:15pm. Bands range from Classic rock, Classic country, country rock, red dirt, and Blues.

History

Established in 1940.

The Curve Inn, was once known as Ma’s Bar, then The Highway Inn, Finally as the «CURVE». Located on old «31», (which was the main «highway» coming from Chicago, heading north along the lakeshore). Directly behind and at the edge of the property line is South Haven’s Industrial park area. If you look closely you can still see the foot paths that ran from the back of our property, to the factories in the back. Yes, back iin the day, there were workers who would run out during their break time for a quick beer. Yes it WAS a rough place «back in the day».

The current owne’rs roots go back to the original pioneers and homesteaders that founded Michigan.

The traditional outdoor wood fire oven was hand built by the owners. Built from 90% recycled materials, with the remaining materials locally sourced.

During the summer and fall months the tomatoes, green beans, green peppers, hot peppers, squash, and other vegetables will come directly from the owners garden, or the local farmers market
