Class A Autobody

I’ve bought my cars to Class A over the years. They are professional, courteous and helpful. Their receptionist, Denia is always available to answer questions. I worked with Dan this time and he was responsive and communicated clearly about the process. Everything always goes according to the time frame they explain.

Extremely easy to deal with. This location has a GEICO adjuster on premises to aid in getting your claim processed effectively.
The service is amazing, the car was sideswipped an looks showroom new both inside and out!
They also update your vehicles process via email, which is nice to know.

I’ve had my car repaired at Class A two times now, the first time was last year when it was struck by a vehicle that blew through a stop sign — the car was incapacitated and my insurance company (geico) had it towed to storage and then to Class A for repairs. I was extremely impressed with the professionalism and courtesy of all of the people working there, and when I recently damaged my car in a simple accident, I chose to take it back there for repairs. They have a geico adjustor in-​house who was able to give me an estimate and start repairs on the car that same day. They finished the work on my car within the timeframe quoted and it looks absolutely fantastic — the blending they did with the paint on the replaced components is completely imperceptible and the car was left perfectly clean inside and out. Highly recommended

Very professional people. I have come to this company with many of my bmw’s and they have all came out like brand new. I would recommend this place to anyone to bring their cars to get fixed.

What a first class outfit! No surprises! Work done in under the time frame. Convenient location, service and workmanship were excellent! Car was returned looking brand new… clean inside and out! If u are going through insurance then this place is ok. But if u are paying out of pocket for any repairs STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! They quoted me $ 4800 for my rear bumper n trunk damage i had on my 2007 bmw. I went to mizzonis in Lodi and they did the repair perfectly for $ 3100… Also i had a front bumper lip that i needed painted and mounted. Mizzonis $ 200 estimate. Hackensack autobody $ 150. A class estimate $ 300!!! This place is seriously OverPriced.

This place is wonderful. They made ever effort to help me out so I wouldn’t have to pay extra for my rental but the Geico guy wouldn’t extend my rental. Anywho I Def would recommend this place they had my car ready in 3 days I appreciate them so much.

Very professional from start to finish. It was also a plus that they are a preferred Geico vendor and had an adjuster onsite. It made the whole process a lot smoother.

I really had to think about this and come down off my emotionally fueled thoughts so that I can represent what I think is a true representation for this review.
About 18 months ago I drove over a manhole cover on a scraped road that was unmarked. The front end of my car underneath was damaged. My buddy got his vehicle fixed at Class A Autobody, and he knows and has a personal friendship with a former Geico rep that works out of their office. I was referred to Class A my buddy who had his car fixed there. What’s better than a referral from a close friend that already had a good experience, right? And away we go. I thought, off the bat there was $ 3,000 — $ 4,000 worth of damage to the undercarriage of my car. I was pleasantly surprised when I got a call from George, the owner of Class A and told me the whole project would cost just shy of $ 1,000 and it could be fixed in two days. In fact, I was elated. He asked if I wanted to go through insurance or just pay for it cash. If I went through insurance, it was a self reported accident, and my premium might go up. I opted to pay cash. Fixed… Car drove great.. .. .. .. Until, I had it in the dealership to have some suspension work done on it 18 months later…
«Um, Jack, did you hit anything?» Asked the rep at the dealership/​
«Why,» I asked.
…Hesitation from the rep, «The subframe of the front end of your car is bent. We’re not sure how our guy missed it the first time, but that is what’s causing the thumping near the driver side tire of your car.»
Me, «Let me, oh, the manhole cover 18 months ago… Does that sound like it might be the culprit?» (not verbatim).
«Yes.»
The long and short of this story is that the cost to replace the subframe of my vehicle was $ 3,500, give or take because of some credits the dealership gave me for work I had done on the suspension (kudos to them for stepping up, and will be getting a good review on Unilocal)…
Now for the realization… I called Class A to ask about getting a price to replace the subframe because of the previous damage. At this point I wasn’t even angry about what I will illustrate below. I just wanted a price to get it fixed. The issue:
1. When I asked about it and getting a price, George the owner gave me an attitude over the phone and told me the following:
A. He needed to see the vehicle and/​or get all the information from my dealership’s rep, whom he said he knew and and my rep also said he knew.
B. He admitted they did the «minimal work» to get the car back on the road when he looked up my account on his computer, and reiterated it.
C. He said he would connect with my guy at the dealership and get back to me with a price.
Now, let me say… Crickets… No return call at all from George at Class A Autobody. Probably in fear that he screwed up and there could be legal ramifications, or he’s just lazy. Who knows. He had my contact information. It is in his computer. He had to «look me up» as he called it while we were on the phone.
Let me say, had I known there was realistically $ 4,000+ worth of damage to my car, I would have paid the 500 dollar deductible and put it through insurance. I was NEVER given the option to fix the vehicle with a full estimate from the full damage. NEVER. Personally this is unethical in order to get a $ 1,000 quick job and money in the door. Horrible business.
Second, to admit he did «minimal work» to get it back on the road does not sound safe to me, nor do I feel like would be legally to his advantage had I really been a jerk about it and contacted my attorney. This is NJ, and attorneys love stupid crap like this from a guy like me that would pay for it.
Third, according to my guy at the dealership, he never got back to him either.
I commissioned my dealership to completely replace the subframe of the vehicle. I got it back in a week, and seems to drive great. Just got back from a 10 hour road trip and it was great.
The staff there is accommodating, but being accommodating is no replacement for doing the job right the first time and giving ALL the information to your customers so that they can make an informed decision about the vehicle they are spending a lot of money on to own. I don’t understand cutting corners. I was not brought up this way… I would have paid for the fix if I had to. I had the money in the bank at the time. Still do.
There is no doubt in my mind there were corners cut here, and I feel like I needed to publish this review to warn others that may contemplate bringing their vehicle to Class A for a comprehensive fix.

Brought my car here for bumper damage. Dan helped me out. He was extremely professional and courteous. The estimate they gave me was fair and there were no hidden costs. The finished product was perfect. I highly recommend Class A. I have a BMW 535 and I wouldn’t trust my car to any autobody shop. Wouldn’t hesitate to use Class A again (although I hope I don’t have to)!. Ask for Dan. He’s very professional.

Great place for any car repairs! I have dealt with Class A for a few years now and they have provided the absolute best customer service and repairs. I recently took my car their for a few repairs and got it back in a timely fashion and looking brand new! I highly reccommend Class A autobody.

This has been a challenge I got my car back about 3weeks ago before I left the lot I noticed light was on for washer fluid oil light CD player doesn’t work anymore My BMW is driving like it wasn’t repaired I voiced my concerns with Dan I was told that he would have to speak with owner about a rental waited and waited was told no wasn’t until I spoke with someone named Mike who spoke with owner rental car was provided. Car is there now will keep you all posted on repairs and customer service. I had it towed after accident after repairs I should’ve had It towed right back to them. To be continued will keep you all posted. There were several issues the way it’s was handled was very unprofessional. This was Messy

I will never go back to Class A, I took my car there because they are a geico express shop, what this means is you take you car in, they have a geico rep working there to inspect your car, they also have a full service enterprise rental car on location. in reality, when I got there there was a car waiting for me, but when I returned the car they gave me a hard time for returning it there and wanted me to take it to the enterprise on the other side of Hackensack. which means it isn’t a real geico express, but I’m getting ahead of myself. I take my Nissan Cube in, and everything seems ok, the geico guy was there, the Enterprise lady was there and she had a car for me. so I left, the following Wednesday afternoon I get a call form enterprise telling me I had to return the rental car that day within 1.5 hours because the repairs were finished on Tuesday, no one from the shop called me to let me know. So I go to pick up my cube and leave the rental at Class A, where they proceeded to give me a hard time about dropping it off there. and I had to wait almost an hour for my car because they had it in storage at another location. it was raining extremely hard so I didn’t have a chance to inspect it. the next day in the sunlight I was able to take a look and I saw they never painted many of the parts they claimed to have painted, and other parts they just did a really bad job on. so I call them, and the next week I take it back in, the geico guy was there, and that was the only reason class A agreed to repair it and provide me was a rental on their account. but they wanted me to bring it back another day. I said NO, I’m here now, fix it, because the geico guy was there they did. and they provided me was a rental. Enterprise was awesome they jumped through hoops and I will be leaving them 5 stars, but anyway, yesterday I get a call from class A saying your car will be done at 3:30 you need to pick it up then after returning the car to the enterprise across town, I wasn’t in the area yesterday and had to do it today, and informed them that it was unacceptable to give less than 24 hours notice of finished repairs. anyway the people at Enterprise told me I could drop the car off at Class A so I did and once again they were real jerks about it. Avoid this place they will be rude, they will not fix your car properly you will be sorry for using them. I am.

I’ve dealt with Class A Autobody for 6 years. Recently i had a problem with a vehicle i own and was relying on them to give me professional service. I was pushed aside timewise over a $ 8,500++ cash deal that «they didn’t have time» to do. Eventually after giving me the run around they said they could not help me, as in they did not want to over the simple reason «they don’t do complete paint jobs». The person in question, Dennis was truly full of it — and a terrible replacement for the gentleman that helped me previously over the last few years.
