Specialties

We take pictures of all of our best works so that you can view them in our photo albums. We have a wide selection of design tips, many color of the sea shells to colored acrylic powder with or with out glitter. We have polish sample boards to view, with 200 different nail polishes to choose from and over 30 different GEL POLISH colors. Countless amount of hand designs to keep your eyes busy. The most comfortable chair from the waiting area to the time you get your nails and pedicure. The salon is painted in beautiful and bright colors that are full of energy and lots of plants and painting for a relaxing experience.

History

Established in 2009.

Our goal in mind when building this nail salon was to give the city of Lynwood a good quality at a reasonable price nail salon. All our costumes had to drive a great distant to get their nails done before we opened and the ones to don’t drive had to settle for bad nails and bad customer service. We take pride of our work.

I have been coming to this nail salon for 8 years and to the same person (Bryan). They are a very clean place I highly recommend it. They also take appointments but if you are more than 10 minutes late they will not take you and only take appointments one week before. I do continue to be a loyal customer because of their cleanliness.

This has been my go to nail salon even when they where at their other location on Atlantic blvd. I have been going with Vicki for years and so do my fitness and family, but today was one of the worst experience EVER! I called to make an appointment and the front desk lady said they do not make appointments due to being short staffed well if your a professional nail salon it dsnt matter if ur fully staffed or not you still make appointments. So I finally got to the salon and the front desk person (which is I believe the owner) is so STUPID and inconpetent to do her job! I kept asking her I needed an appointment she kept giving me the run around and didn’t make sense! Vicki should definitely work else where!

If I could give negative stars I would. This is the worst place I have ever been to! I went in for a pedicure and they totally fucked up my feet! She even cut the corner of my toes and I told her she was hurting me and all she said was that it’s ok it’s just that I haven’t gotten a pedicure in a while so I’m not used to it. –_​_​_​–
I started bleeding and asked her if that was blood and she totally tried to hide it and said no it’s not blood.
The service sucked so bad I left this so called nail salon furious!
I’m never coming back here again I would never recommend this place to anyone.
You’ll probably have a better outcome if you do your own pedicure at home!

Worst nail salon ever.
I noticed that some nail technician licenses were even expired.
They don’t sanitize their equipment, honestly I believe this salon should be shut down
I’ve been here a couple times when my usual salon is closed and I hate it.

Came in waited for 30 mins, came in before 2 other women and they got helped before me. Okay they came in for pedi/​mani, I came in for wax. Then they try to squeeze me in between doing some other girls nails. No I have naturally thick eyebrows and I don’t want them to mess up my eyebrows and thin them out because they’re in a rush. No, thank you. When I first walked in the lady whose usually in the front is sitting down getting her nails done by another employee while she’s still greeting people, what a mess! I only came here cuz it was down the street but this isn’t the place to get your brows done. Rather stick to signature brows and Downey.

This place Is horrible!!! I never leave negative reviews i feel it’s a waste of time but I’ve had continuous bad experiences here to the point I have given up going here! There nail polishes are cheap will chip within hours gel is not suppose to chip that’s why you pay $ 21 for it! And when you complain they talk shit about in their language roll their eyes at you and give you a even worse «fix». I have come here for 6 years even when they were in first location. Trust me do not come here!!! There is cheaper places that do a better job. Unilocal nail places in south gate to find any better place than this. POLISHME BAR IN LYNWOOD IS EVEN BETTER OR FRIENDLY NAILS IN SOUTH GATE IN THE LUCKY SHOPPING CENTER. They don’t charge extra for a spa pedicure and if they mess up they fix on the spot without complaining. SAVE YOUR MONEY AND GO ELSE WHERE. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR HARD WORKING MONEY CUZ THEY DONT CARE ABOUT HOW YOUR NAILS LOOK AND THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIBLE!
Like I said I don’t Unilocal much so I’m just trying to look out for you. It is definitely not work your money!

U need nails is one of the best run nail shops around. The nail shop owner seems to keep very high standards of cleanliness and procedures. It is almost always a long wait because there’s so many regulars and appointments. It is worth it to wait because everytime I go somewhere else because I’m pressed w time I am disappointed with my nails.

I give it 4 stars because for the most part they do a good job. Only once did they mess up on my gel nails but overall they are careful about their work.
The only reason I wouldn’t give it five stars is because they do not have the best customer service. Then again, I’m there for a good job on my nails not a friend.

My sister and I decided to look into this nail place. It had pretty good reviews and we’re always open to new adventures. I loved my nails by Lina (and I do hope I’m spelling her name correctly, if not, I apologize) she was amazing. She was funny and right away caught on that I am deadly scared of getting cut. The only bummer is that I couldn’t get my design done. Only the guys draw and they were super busy. Overall, I would go back.

This place deserves 0 stars. After being a loyal customer since 2007, before they moved locations. I was told to leave if I didn’t liked the service. I obviously never came for the friendly staff. I kept coming back, because of the convenience and Viki did a good job with my nails. After time & time, they were very rude, and unprofessional. Last Friday was the last time I set foot in this establishment. I will take my business and money elsewhere that deserves it. They really only care for quantity over quality. You can make an appointment and they will still make you wait. So long u need nails. I don’t need u.

My sister and I were bummed that we can’t go to our usual nail place on Long Beach but with gas prices increasing we decided to look for a place that’s closer. She found U Need Nails on Unilocal and she asked me if I wanted to try it out. I told her I was up for it. We walked in and it was a little busy. We didn’t get seen until maybe 30 – 40 minutes later. We were willing to wait because of all the positive reviews. To my luck, I got Andy. He was pretty cool and I loved how he did my nails. The only downside was that I got cut twice which won’t stop me from coming back but a few of my nails, the polish is chipped. I wish I would have noticed it so that he can fix it, next time I’ll pay closer attention and make an appointment. Overall, the place looks nice, the prices are fair, the parking is ample and I found my nail go to guy.

They do nice nails, but the owner micro manages everyone like a hawk at her desk. She’s rude and doesn’t acknowledge her customers… she has a bitchy attitude and she’s gonna lose alot of customers continuing that way… The ladies are too pushy and are in a rush. Probably cause there Afraid of the owner and they don’t do gel on toes. I wish I would’ve known this before waiting 30 mins to get a pedicure. I told the lady that was doing my pedicure that I don’t like when they scrub the bottom of your feet and she told me «just a little bit» and continued… Never coming back. I’ll rather drive to Norwalk…

Today I got my nails done here at U need nails. Place is pretty big and clean! It’s 4miles away from my house but that’s okay. I was Unilocaling nails salon near my area cus we just moved here at willowbrook and I saw this nail salon and their work is pretty good and clean. Now I don’t have to drive all the way to carson just to get my nails done! Found a new nail shop and I love it! Hopefully next time brian will do my nails. Cus as I’ve read thru the reviews he’s really good. But vicky and the other lady did a great job.

Horrible manicure by VICKI. I went in for a acrylic nail removal and manicure. She didn’t want to «waste time» removing my acrilyc so she over filed them, cut my finger and tried to apply polish over the acrylic residue to hide it. My nails are now very brittle and Super thin and look terrible. She charged me $ 16 for her «work». I clearly told her I didn’t want to over file them and that’s why I thought I was paying her to do the work professionally.
Too them it’s more about quantity and not quality… Very bad experience. Totally disappointed…

I love this place! I’ve been coming here for about 5 years and no matter who does my nails, I always leave happy. I drive from Alhambra just to come here even tho I have a nail place walking distance from my house. Everyone is friendly and my nails look sharp. I have gotten acrylics, gels, mani/​pedi, and my eyebrows done here… highly recommended :)

They have a vending machine with drinks and snacks but when I brought my food to eat they said this wasn’t an eating place, why do they have snacks and drinks for sale if you can’t eat them in the shop?
