I DIDNOT like the food one bit I ordered the 2 chile rellenos with the beans and rice that came with the salad. The salad wasn’t good just lettuce and the chills rellenos were soggy lacking in taste the only real flavor was in the rice and beans. And my boyfriend had the carne Asada plate it had more fries than the meat. And for the price is not even worth it Taco Bell does a better job. I WILLNOTBECOMINGBACKTOTHISPLACE!

I’ve been coming to this place for years, & last night I was so disgusted with the way they treated me even worse i was so disappointed to know that it was the owner of the restaurant by the name of Ms Flores, I told her very nicely that I thought she was being rude when she was taking my order down & I thought she had to know, well that made it worse she was upset & when I asked for her name she rudely almost raising her voice at me said my name is Ms Flores & am the owner, I then told her she was very unprofessional & she’s running a business that is not a way to treat her customer, she then basically told me if you don’t like it don’t come… I was so nice to her it is sad to know that people don’t care about their customers, people like her is what makes you not want to go back… the food is great but just because it’s good doesn’t give her or anyone the right to treat you or act in that way specially if you are the business owner…

This restaurant is not worth the price for their food especially when you order take out. I ordered cocido to go and had specifically asked to add more meat but instead I was given shredded meat and little of anything. I called th back and even though they gave me the extra eat free it’s just the fact that they have a lack of customer service. Who gives customer soup where it’s mostly soup n not much more? DONOTCOMEORORDERFROMTHISRESTAURANT…

This Place serves me comfort food! This is an old family restaurant! My mom and dad have been coming here with their Mom and dad since they were little and they bring me now. Comfort food and it is super delicious! My favorite that I get almost every time I come is the cheese enchiladas. Cheesy Yumminess:) Also they have the best red Chile I’ve ever tasted! When you go in they will let you pick where you would like to sit. They then bring you a basket of tortilla chips with this delicious chile. I usually have to get extra chile! To drink I usually get the Jamaica. I like that they make their Jamaica not to sweet with a perfect amount of tartness. Another great item on the menu are their tameles. My sister and mom usually get this. I like it too. Also the workers here already know me, my parents, and my sister. They have great service. All their food is delicious and affordable. This will definitely always be one of my favorite restaurants:)

Old school Mexican food. The service is the same as i remember from over 12 years ago. A bit slow but you get what you need and ordered. This time around i had the Caldo De Reyes(I think thats the right spelling). Wee also ordered a tamale plate, it was huge. The soups broth was a bit bland but the veggies and beef tasted good. After adding some rice and pico de gallo it tasted good. The chips and salsa where tasty and just what I remembered from the past. The tamales could of been hotter in temperature, and had a bit to much cheese melted over them. But they where flavorful.

My co-workers raved about this place. So I decided to come try it out on Friday. Had the Chile Relleno and OMGaaawd! It almost as good as my abuelita’s homemade ones. It’s been 2 years since her passing and I’ve not been able to find a place as good as hers. This place came pretty close. I’ll definitely come back for more. Actually it’s Tuesday and I’m back already. It’s a little taste of home. The waitress here are very kind.

Really nice! My parents have been going to this place for years and we’ve all gone as a group several times. Bottom line: Good, authentic Mexican food and terrific service. I usually get a burrito or the carnitas meal and it never disappoints. Today for lunch my folks got chicken tacos(excellent) and my wife got an enchilada meal, also delicious. My son got a bacon/egg breakfast and made it disappear in a hurry. Then he started eating my carnitas… The vegetable soup, tortillas, etc., were all very good. Can be pretty busy at lunchtime on weekends, especially on Sundays. But worth it.

Wow, a true mom and pop shop. Excellent Mexican food. I ordered an entrée, Machaca and it came with choice of soup or salad. I opted for the soup. It was a meal in its self! My friend had a burrito, it was huge and came with a side salad. Also very delicious. Chips were crispy and salsa was fresh. Older servers were very attentive. The only draw back is the are a CASHONLY place. But if you forget your cash, there’s an ATM for your convenience. Overall a god experience. It’s just not in a nice area.

Three stars because the service made the experience a bit more enjoyable. The food was nothing really special, a bit on the salty side but it’s only 20 bucks for two people with drinks. The complementary chips and salsa were good. My meal came with a soup which came with a lot more veggies than the other tepeyac in Covina(check out my other review) but it wasn’t as tasty. So overall I’d say if you want some quick service for mediocre food then it’s a good place, if you don’t mind waiting a while then I’d make the trip to the one in Covina.

Villa tepeyac oh how i love you! This restaurant holds a special place in my heart i have been coming here since I was a child i can remember sitting across from my pops while he sat in front of his whole deep fried fish eyes, fins & bones all still in tact i was so grossed out as a child as he poked out the eyeballs and offered them to me from his fork lol ahhh the memories i definitely didn’t know what I was missing daddy was eating the good stuff as i sat with my menudo that was totally white in color because i drowned it in about 3 whole lemons and asked to them to leave out the meat«corn only please» i was a silly child with not so developed taste buds. So this place is one of those restaurants that you need to know how to order or what to order to be in mexican food heaven;) i personally love the red enchilada sauce it is bomb on everything. They have a plate with two tamales with enchilada sauce and cheese smothered on top with rice and beans it is soooo good! Just make sure to ask for red sauce enchilada sauce not ranchera sauce you cant go wrong. And the house salsa is the BEST hands down nobody does it better, well maybe only king taco can compete with chili;)

In a out of the way location about a mile East of Rosemead Blvd. on Rush — An Edison hangout for lunch. Roomy, not too busy, great service, daily specials, very good food, good portions… what’s not to love? Breakfast available all day, most items in the $ 6-$ 8 range. the only caviot — CASHONLY! Sister location to the one off the 10 Freeway in West Covina. Not a fancy place, not a place to impress someone, unless you are referring to good decent food!

If it’s cold outside and or rainy(which is rare to have lately in Los Angeles area)…get the«Cocido» a soup w nice amount of beef chunks, peeled carrots, corn on cob & potatoes plus cabbage… WOW…I usually get the small size which is generous enough but if you are really hungry try the large !

Not a fan. Had their breakfast special for 4.99. My breakfast included scrambled eggs with chopped tomatoes, bell peppers & onions, paired with potatoes, & refried beans: Sadly, everything on my plate had no flavor whatsoever. It was like eating paper. I guess I got exactly what I paid for. The rudeness of my waitress is what made me feel so akward. She was REALLY rude. I would consider perhaps giving this business a second try because it is so close to my workplace, but this specific waitress(a older woman with short hair) really made me make the decision to dine elsewhere.

Really liked this place. It’s in an odd location near some industrial buildings but very popular amongst the locals. We came on a Sunday afternoon someone recommended the food here. The inside is like a diner with comfy booth-style seating. The servers are efficient and pretty friendly. We got the delicious, fresh chips and some hot salsa. Watch out! We ordered cosido beef rib soup — great and jam-packed with veg. The chicken with rice was done as a stir-fry which wasn’t quite as expected but was tasty; it came with refried beans. On our visit there was salmon special for $ 11. My pics show the Mon-Fri specials available all day.

Arrived just after they opened to pick up bfast for my client and myself. Villa Tepeyac has no association with El Tepeyac but they do have another location in Covina. The older lady who took my order was really sweet and has been employed there for 30 years since they originally opened! My order two machaca bfast combos with potatoes and beans with two coffees. The food was really tasty and the portions were large. I couldn’t even finish the entrée. Overall a solid Mexican restaurant with good service. Only con here is that it’s cash only.
