I was recommended to come here by a friend for my kitchen and bathroom countertops. I was helped by Tiffany and she was great. She patiently worked with us on finding the right color for us. She was very honest about the pros and cons between granite and Quartz. Very professional and experienced and they are certified fabricators of Caesarstone which was a great plus. Overall, we got what we were looking for at a great price so very satisfied.

Please note that we have a business card from Gordon listing the name as «Gordonstone&Tiles, Inc.» but it’s the same people and address as Gordon Marble and Granite. We are motivated to write about Gordon Marble since they were disappointing in terms of selling a piece of marble that is too short; changing the terms of a deal halfway through the process, and attempting to charge custom prices for what seems to be well within the range of a prefab or standard slab(855/8″ by 23″ our measurements and prefab measurements 108×26). We dealt with Gordon since our master cabinetmaker made a beautiful cabinet for a traditional bathroom and was recommended to them. We learned that there are 3 signs to look for in a sale gone bad before the deal completely falls apart: 1. dealing with a salesperson about tech details at the onset rather than dealing with the tech/installer. 2. a firm that misquotes the price of the piece of marble($ 1200) and then realizes they need a slightly larger piece by 1″ and asks for much more money($ 1600); finally when the marble fabricator has underestimated the job/complexity, you come up with any excuse to dump the customer ASAP. Andy, the salesperson, approved the ordering of a sink size that, as soon as the installer came to our home, realized would not fit the cabinet counter which holds the sink. As he correctly said«yeah, its just too big». Its a shallow depth and the sink was at least 2 inches too large. That was the first sign of trouble. The main problem is that when the installer again took his template and compared it to the dimensions of the marble that had been ordered, the template was a width of 855/8′ not 84″ which was the supposed size of the original slab they quoted the $ 1200. So the Gordon Marble/Granite people then said that to get the additional 15/8″ would require a «custom» piece of marble not a prefabricated piece. They demanded another $ 400 for the so-called custom size. We thought it was strange to pay $ 400 for in essence 2 inches more of marble so there would not be gap on both sides of the counter-top. But we and the cabinetmaker agreed to the up-charge to keep the project going towards completion. The above is very strange since when we just left a well-established marble contractor in Pasadena and he is able to order marble slabs in dimensions of 108″ by 26″(he called it prefab) at the price which Gordon quoted for the first(too small) piece. So when we reluctantly agreed to the new price, the salesperson asked us to come down to the El Monte location to select our piece of white Carrera marble. The 600 pound slabs were stacked standing one next to the other so that a normal person could not move any pieces to look at the other pieces in the stack; thus there was no selection involved. The salesperson, Andy, refused to move the other pieces around with a machine. When we pointed out the inability to select a slab as well as the problem with the too large of a sink, and the $ 400 increase in the slab due to some misunderstanding of dimensions, Andy told our cabinetmaker(who is extremely easy to work with) «we don’t want your business any more. we are done». He asked if they were joking and Andy said, they were not. For these reasons we cannot in good conscience recommend this business and are simply baffled by their attitude, although its a blessing in disguise since we found a competent and honest marble fabricator and will have a beautiful bathroom cabinet.

We are/were in the process of remodeling our house. The person we worked with here was named Cindy. She was very friendly and seemed knowledgeable about the materials. I guess theres not much you can say about the product since they don’t manufacture it. I guess all you can really judge this place on is price and service. The price seemed to be average or lower than average. What got us to go with this place was how quickly they were able to turn around and install for us. Costco quoted over a month, they were able to get it out to us w/in a few days, but because of the holidays it was a week before it got installed. The sink was supposed to be overmount because the faucet holes were too small, but they worked with us and installed it undermount. I would recommend this place
