As a Daytona resident I can definitely say the quality of food has declined drastically. That being said, the food seems to be re heated in a microwave and if you order a baked potato, prepare for the strangest thing you have ever seen. I would say they add a Kraft single but you just know they are using an off brand. The baked beans are just canned special. Don’t waste your time at this restraint as the owner does not appear to care about their food quality any more.

Got a New York Strip and 90% of it was inedible because it was fat. Better off at longhorn or outback, it’s cheaper and is way better quality than what you get here. You can also eat your whole steak.

Great service and clean. It’s a local restaurant with low prices. Sides were too salty and there isn’t much in atmosphere. We ordered two prime rib dinners, draft beer, and great pink lemonade. Meat was a little tough but not bad for the price. Total bill was 29.00. Definitely worth it if you want a cheap streak meal. It’s not as good as the 30 dollar prime rib dinners but you shouldn’t compare it to those.

This was a solid place to get a steak and sides while on vacation over here in Daytona. The vibe was pleasant and the food was good. The steaks were a little plain tasting but they were cooked correctly and well cut. If you are look for a Ruth Chris like service or décor, don’t bother as this is a casual restaurant, perfect for grabbing a steak after hitting the beaches all day. My wife had the t-bone and I had a burger; both were cooked right and right sized. We wouldn’t go out of our way to get here again but if the mood struck for a steak, we wouldn’t hesitate either. Have a great meal!

Took my wife here 1st time ever for her birthday! Terrible from the time we opened the door! Steak was tough and I mean tough and we ordered them medium done. Took us 35 mins to get waited on and I made a reservation. So noisy it was like eating in a bowling alley! Will never go back! Can’t imagine how they got all the good reviews!

Worst excuse for a Steakhouse I have ever been tortured in, in my opinion!!! Both steaks, me(Prime Rib) and Rita(ribeye) was tough. The mashed is out of a box instant, fries frozen and they do not know what a chive is. Will never make this mistake again.

Small family atmosphere, Gary was great, had us laughing throughout. Rib eye was cooked perfect and sides were delicious. A break from the big restaurants.

These old school steak houses are becoming harder and harder to find, there was a point when these types of places were the featured steak houses of the day, long before the chains developed their business models, but that was a different era. I love nostalgic steak houses for the most part but as time goes by so do most of these old venues, most are outdated and never made the leap to upgrade, a lot of the time the owners who were so passionate about their restaurants have passed or handed them down to a generation who never quite gets the original business concept and tries to siphon as much money out of these types of businesses without realizing what once made these great establishments successful in the beginning. The food that was once prepared with pride has been replaced by food service vendors and meat purveyors that put profit over quality. I guess I’m most disappoint that I never got to experience this restaurant in its heyday, it’s apparent that this was a premier steak house at one point, the aging décor and signature sign out front reflects what once was but now is nearing the end of its life in my opinion. Don’t be confused here cheap prices mean less quality you can’t have both its impossible. I ordered a simple ribeye which is one of their premium choice steaks offered I ordered it rare, it came medium well at best with a cold hard baked potato with margarine not butter and a slice of microwave melted process cheese on top of some old dried out bacon bits. I opted out of the salad bar it was just a sad selection of iceberg lettuce with a few choices of cucumbers and onions with food service dressings. I so wanted to fall in love with this place but it’s not possible although the service was outstanding I came here to enjoy a great steak and it wasn’t to be. Sadly I don’t see myself returning, the experience was disappointing to say the least but I agree it’s cheap very cheap.

Save yourself! We took a chance on this one and lost. My picture will say a thousand words. This is supposed to be the«Fresh cut daily» prime rib, which they advertise on the front of the building and the menus and a «loaded baked potato». Yes, the ghetto baked potato has a slice of un-melted American cheese with some Baco’s” on it, amongst the salty prime rib broth with a slice of fat and a center of meat… I hope it was from a cow. The staff was friendly and the rustic setting looks like a pub-meets-diner. We won’t get caught in the web of Webbers again. This place is ripe for one of those restaurant makeover shows.

Took a chance on this place after a high school hockey game, based on other Unilocal reviews. We were not disappointed! Nothing fancy here, they had the smallest salad bar I’ve ever seen, and the atmosphere is more local hangout bar than steakhouse. The food and the service more than make up for it. My wife and I had the prime rib special, with baked potato and salad bar. My son had the seafood platter with shrimp, scallops, and fresh grouper. My daughter sampled the steak tips. Everything was great, the prime rib was thick, juicy, and done just perfectly medium. My daughter actually ate her food, which says it all right there. The seafood platter was large and the fish was great. The service really took the meal up a notch. Our server was a funny older gent, who does a great trick with a paper bag, throwing kisses into the air and«catching» them in the bag, which he would then reach into and pull out a Hershey’s kiss. He gave us all hugs on our way out. Such a great find, it’s going to be our go to spot when my son has games in Daytona. The fried chicken also looked amazing, we’ll try that next time!

I found this location while using the Unilocal app on my phone, while searching for steakhouses in the area I was in, Daytona Beach. I dined on a Tuesday evening. When I arrived at 7:30PM there was literally one spot left. The entrance to this location is a little weird it seems like you come in to the middle of the restaurant. You don’t actually but it feels like it when you first come in. After wandering in and around slightly I was actually greeted by a woman who asked me if I was dining alone and then proceeded to take me to the bar. You can definitely tell this place is a little older judging by the décor, and the menus. It feels typical Southern family, there is even a case behind the bar filled with model cars. There are a couple of TVs scattered throughout the small building, and I was unable to detect any semblance of wireless. They only have four beers on tap, Amber Bock, Bud Light, Miller Lite, and Michelob Ultra. They do have a few assorted beer bottles showcased on the back of the bar for ordering purposes as well. I was craving a filet so I ordered one medium rare with a baked potato. I passed on the salad bar which was really just iceberg lettuce and a couple of veggies. I instead opted for mushrooms and onions to accompany the steak. It didn’t take too long to arrive. I was brought out three separate plates one plate contained the baked potato, another housed some butter, sour cream, and a piece of toast. The steak was on a plate by itself, and by plate I mean one of those types that has a metal insert on the inside with the plastic on the outside, sort of an oval deal. Next to the steak in a medium-sized bowl, was a mound of sautéed onions and mushrooms that looked and tasted delicious. I dumped that sucker right on the plate, peppered them up and dug in. The baked potato was equally as good. Steak was perfectly prepared as medium rare and had a decent flavor. The cut was pretty good itself with no discernible gristle. I was actually a little blown away by the toast. I must confess I always try everything on the plate just for reviewing purposes and personal curiosity, and when I took my first bite I was kind of taken aback. I know it’s simple, but this toast had an exceptional buttery garlicky flavor and it was only actually toasted on one side which at first I thought was a little weird until I took another bite and then discovered it was kind of cool. It sort of felt a little bit like having some fresh baked bread with the soft hot inside, on the outside. Pricing of this location is relatively average for this type of meal coming in around 25 bucks for the meal and a beer. The TV screen in front of me had on the local 24 hour news station with close captioning that was absolutely horrible. In fact, I actually could understand them better by reading their lips. It was pretty much the only entertainment I had, as I dined alone at the bar for a good chunk of my meal. I was checked on by several staff along the meal which was quite nice. Overall this is a pretty decent place for a family run steakhouse that’s really small. I wasn’t disappointed with really anything truly, other than the fact that I could have used a few more mushrooms to accompany the sautéed onions, so I’ll definitely dine at this establishment again when I’m back in town. Oh I almost forgot they don’t take American Express just MasterCard and Visa.

Excellent steak, simply good and old school(a good thing). We had the ribeye and steak tips. Tips were cooked perfect to order. Small salad bar with basic fixings. Small baked potato. Great sweet tea that the waitress made sure that it was always full. Good size mugs. Excellent service. Very limited spaced parking lot with no outlet but worth it.

Perfectly cooked prime rib, large piece, not overly seasoned. Great family style small salad bar as a side plus baked tater and grilled toast is a nice $ 12 meal. The place is a «small bar» that is more of a «local color» hang-out than a steakhouse. It’s dark inside(bar-like). The servers work hard and are quick. Parking lot is a small stone«mess» but worth being on your schedule of events. Dec. 2014. Second visit was similar and just as delicious. All the lights were on this time, I appreciated not so dark. My piece of rib was a little more fatty than before but so delicious. Their consistency in service and food has me upping it from 4 to 5 stars.

Very good steak. I almost gave them 5 stars. If you want a good salad or baked potato, don’t come here. But these guys know how to cook steak, and the two brothers running this place have great humor and camaraderie. Bottom line; if you are in the mood for a good, tender, steak and don’t want to pay a fortune, this is the place for you.
