Muffler & Brake System

Thank goodness for Muffler and Brake. A quick phone call, and an hour later my car was diagnosed as what was wrong, and fixed in 2 hours. The customer service here was absolutely phenomenal, and my car is running smoothly again now that the exhaust pipes near the converter aren’t rusted anymore. Took the car in sounding like a hot rod race car and took it home purring like a kitten. Absolutely great for a very last minute problem that I hadn’t seen coming, and fixed for a reasonable price too. Thanks, guys and gals at Muffler and Brake! Job well done!

While traveling in the area, I had some battery issues in the negative temps. My father recommended Muffler & Brake based on his positive experiences. I called, explained my issues and they got me right in. Service was fast and I walked out with a reasonably priced new battery and battery wires which I know were heavily corroded & in need of replacement. Friendly people. Nice waiting room. Recommended.

Took car on Saturday ⁴⁄₂₄ for oil change and tire rotation. Clerk was great and service was fine. But when I attempted to do a DIY brake job it was apparent that they over did the torque on the lugs. Went back to have them simple undo the torque because it broke my lugnut tool. Was treated like an a child by extremely rude rather large build mechanic. «You musta done it wrong or used the wrong tool» His arrogant attitude was not necessary and I told him that at 42 I knew how to remove tires.
He proceeds to hum and hah and returns with a high torque wrench, barks at me to «come on». I watch him use his 250 plus body weight to get the job done. He comes back in and say «they appeared pretty easy to me»
He then proceeds to mock and handle the torque tool from behind the desk in the way street thugs do right before they use something to hit you with it.
When I finally had enough I asked for owner. Clerk gets owner on phone and starts defending her fellow employee. She refuses to let me speak to owner snaps the card on the desk while 240 plus man snarky and rudely say «have a nice day «

got oil changed there this morning… On my 2013 forester… Got full synthetic at 79.95 10 dollars more then I usually pay… But they were local and convince was a factor. When i get rung out they charge over 90 saying the car required 6 quarts of oil. When i said the manual says 4.5 so does the web… The guy said it takes 6 the women said 5.5 then he said it was down a quart and a half when it came in
. Its the first oil change, obviously. The factory knows how much oil it takes… So either they added to much or over charged… Either way when i came back with the manual in my hand they defintly looked like the got caught… They were rude. I just left im not going to argue over 8 bucks… I just won’t be back.
: Update just got another oil change for 25.00 less and low and behold they let me know these morons had also put the wrong filter on my car!!! Dont go here!!! Ever

I had an emergency muffler issue while I was traveling away from home and was dreading having to find an new mechanic to get it fixed. Found these guys in the yellow pages and could not be happier with the repair and the service. I got a next-​day appointment. They were totally on time. They had a comfortable waiting room and quickly gave me an estimate on the work I needed done and had my muffler repaired within the hour.
The whole time I was there, they were answering calls and handling walk-​ins and just generally running a business. I was happy with their communication, the repair and the price I paid for it. I really appreciate that these folks are there doing their thing.

I went here today to get an oil change. Before I went I called around and they quoted me $ 35.00 for an oil change which I thought was kind of pricey. But after I was done today it ended up only being $ 25 ! Woohoo.
They were friendly, fast, and the office/​reception area was nice and clean. I would recommend this place for anyone needing an oil change or some quick repairs.
