IHOP has nothing on this place. Awesome food, hot coffee, just like if you were home. Waitress was polite. Small storefront you could miss it driving by. A hidden gem.

Came across J&G diner today, was pleasantly surprised by the friendliness of the staff and quality of the food. I got eggs, corn beef hash and coffee. Not a single complaint and will definitely be coming back.

Great little diner tucked away in Bound Brook. Their food here is above the typical diner food! One of my favorite lunch spots… They never disappoint! One of my ultimate favorites is their crispy chicken sandwich… Amazing with their special sauce! Fries are as good as they advertise them to be! Tried one of their breakfast burritos with the special sauce too and it was a hit. Also tried one of their ham/avocado sandwiches featured on their daily specials menu and it was delishh. I have not ordered anything here that I didn’t enjoy! Prices are extremely reasonable, portions are plentiful, and there are plenty of variety in breakfast and lunch selections. Service is speedy and friendly. Dining room consists of a few booths with TVs and a bar top. There seems to be additional seating or a private seating area in the back. Walls are covered in unique Aztec inspired paintings. Tip: Parking is street parking but there is a parking lot across the street(connected to small strip mall). You can also park behind the diner by the liquor store.

Great food at a reasonable price. Waitstaff was attentive. Even my picky mom loved everything on her plate(eggs well done, low oil, no this, extra that, etc etc). I got a breakfast platter, and toast, eggs, sausage, and bacon were tasty. Minimal wait time. This place wasn’t really on our way(traveling through from north Jersey back to DC), but detour well worth it. Doesn’t look like much from out front(typical diner) — but man, food was great.

Great breakfast. I come here for the omlets mostly. They give you good hot sauce too, if you do hot sauce on eggs. They serve you quickly, and the prices for the portions beat others around. The burgers seemed average, but were inexpensive. The bottom line is that it’s a good spot for a good quick and cheap meal.

Great little diner, food was very fresh, was skeptical about the 4.5 star rating, but was WELL deserved! Had the eggs benedict and short stack, go in, you won’t be sorry!

I’ve eaten here and gotten take out probably 50 times since they opened. I’ve never been disappointed. The staff is so sweet and friendly, the food is great and it’s always ready in 10 minutes. Definitely my favorite diner.

Just went to this wonderful hole in the wall diner! The food was great. Pancakes were thick, fluffy and tasty. The turkey bacon(was not greasy). I ordered eggs sunny side up(so they are a bit runny like normal) — taste great. Home fries were great with just a little sprinkle of extra salt(my wife doesn’t like salty food, so it was good they left the saltiness neutral — anyone who can’t put a dash of salt is just an…) Service was excellent! Price is a deal or average depending on what you order, and portions were huge. I would have given a 6 star review to offset a couple of silly reviews here. Normally, I would give 3 stars for average places. Two stars, if there was a bigger problem. And 1 star for serious issues. Please people use stars responsibly, we are talking about people’s livelihood, believe it or not!

This place is hands down one of the best diners I have been to. It’s cozy, the food is fresh, plentiful, and delicious. The staff are super friendly and attentive. Prices are great and I will be coming here every time I come to Jersey.

Decent breakfast food but I would personally like more choices. The breakfast menu was pretty small but luckily for me they offer waffles which was what I wanted. My waffle was hot and delicious. Nothing fancy about it. Both the waffle and pancake were quite yellow and I’m not certain why. The pancake was a bit thick for me. We also got an omelette and potatoes which were both pretty good.

It’s hard for me to understand why this place is rated so highly. I stopped by for breakfast the other weekend, and I wasn’t impressed. I ordered the king breakfast special which included 2 eggs, home fries, pork roll(or sausage or bacon), and French toast(or pancakes). I ordered the eggs sunny side up, and they came out alright. I love runny eggs, but I couldn’t help but feel like these eggs could’ve been cooked a little bit longer. The home fries were cooked nicely and had an excellent texture; however, it tasted like there was no seasoning added to the home fries at all! They were bland and completely tasteless. The pork roll was about what I expected. just a little bit too greasy though. The French toast was a little bit on the dry side, but it tasted fine. I would say it was about average when compared to other diners. The service was great, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. The portion sizes here are on the large side which is always a good thing in my book. The prices are a good deal for the amount of food that you get, but I’m not sure if I would be willing to go here again for the mediocre food. I haven’t been able to try a lot of the diners in this area, but I’m really hoping this isn’t the best one around here like the Unilocal rating implies. 2.5÷5

Don’t overlook this unassuming diner, it’s definitely worth the visit. Even more, it’s the type of place where you want to be a regular. Everyone is friendly and accommodated. Our waitress even wrote«gluten-free» on the kitchen ticket. The food has a Hispanic-American bend. Breakfast is typical diner food with a Hispanic spin– think chorizo, peppers, salsa, quesadillas(my fav). But don’t worry, the classics are still there– eggs Benedict, French toast(delicious), pancakes, and eggs. Oh, and the juices are served in large glasses for a reasonable prices. Fresh OJ, the Vampire(a beet, celery, OJ, and other veggie blend).

Good town restaurant. Family owned. The food is pretty good. At the level of «typical» diner food but has a Mexican twist to it. For example, I went for breakfast and the breakfast potatoes were spiced with Adobo and other Mexican flavors. It was a nice twist. The biggest plus about this place is you won’t leave reeking of a diner because there is a padlock door separating the kitchen and the restaurant. The coffee was cold and watery. They could work on that, but overall my omelet was good, correct, and the workers were pleasant. They will also customize their your order for you even if it’s not on the menu.

Decided to give this place a shot bc it’s a close to where I live. I was pleasantly surprised. I literally finished everything on my plate. It’s not too often I even touch the home fries at a diner but these home fries were tasty. The eggs and bacon were cooked just right as well. Don’t be confused when you walk in, it does have more of a Mexican restaurant type of look but their breakfast is up there with the best diners around. The owner made my breakfast and you can tell he cares about the product he is serving.
