History

Established in 1987.

Owner, Al Doimi graduated Lincoln Technical Institute in 1975 with a degree in Automotive Technology and started working at Kelmont Motors an American Motors/​Jeep dealership in Jersey City. After a little over a year there, I decided to take a job closer to home at McGuire Chevrolet in North Bergen. After several years there, and going to school at night at Engine City Tech, I rose to the position as an A Technician.

In 1986 I decided to open a shop on my own. I found an old tired gas station and my father and I did the renovations and clean up over several months. We opened the doors to A&D Automotive Service in April of 1987. I started out as a one man show doing everything from repairing vehicles, handling customers, writing all the invoices, ordering parts, etc. Business soon took off. Now almost 25 years later, we are still offering our customers the best service and most honest recommendations for their vehicles and we continue to grow on their referrals and by word of mouth.
