I brought my Jeep here as I was referred by my insurance company after I was rear ended. Really exceptional customer service. I had some questions about the length of time my car was there. I was unaware that my insurance company was supposed to give me a play by play (which they did not). The owner, Chris, wrote me a very polite in-​depth email answering all my inquiries. I super appreciated that, especially given how time consuming it was for him. Not only was it professional, it was just a really nice gesture and made the whole process seem less like a business more personal.
My car also looks amazing and is driving wonderfully. They also did a complimentary detail that was a lovely touch.
I will certainly refer friends or family here!

Great and beyond, kind of service. No matter the job, big or small, they offer world class service. Chris and his staff are very knowledgeable and will make sure to deliver a job well done. I have had a few occasions where my vehicle needed body work and Carol did a wonderful job coordinating down to the smallest of details. And the best part of it all is the complimentary full detail cleaning of the vehicle inside and out. Even if S&F wasn’t so convenient, I would still seek them out for work. Not only was the job done faster than I expected but the car also looked great! Beyond the expectations of a job well done on the car, they were also very responsive and informative. I never had to wonder when the car would be finished or how it was going. I have had the utter misfortune of having to use S and F autobody a couple of times. However, i have to say that they made it easy. I actually travel almost an hour to use them that is how good the work is. Carol has always been helpful and fantastic and Chris and his team do an outstanding job. The first time i brought my car in he actually looked at some previous work by another shop as i was having problems with it. He took pictures of the work they did and fixed what they did wrong and provided a detailed listing of what was wrong so that i could return to that body shop if i wanted to. he also fixed it all and it looked brand new. A year later two more reasons (or unlucky events) with the same car and they have been great. I would not go anywhere else and i highly recommend them.
The service is top notch, the staff is knowledgeable and professional and they do quality work. What more could you ask for!!!

Granted — I JUST picked up my car. If the paint doesn’t hold up or something happens, I’ll edit, but this place is great. Our very reputable mechanic recommended this place, so I felt comfortable pursuing out-​of-​pocket repairs here. Moving truck blocking the driveway, tight streets, 2-​month-​old auto paint, Christmas timeframe — it’s all a pain. S&F isn’t the cheapest, but the quote was very fair. The work was complete within an expedited timeframe I needed (shaved off a day because I REALLY needed the car for an appointment) with quality work. Bonus — because I think they felt bad that I’m taking a Christmas budget hit — they detailed my car! It looks and smells fantastic, and it was warmed for my arrival. (Aside — get yourself a car with butt warmers. Haggle for them. They’re invaluable on cold days.) I would return here in a heartbeat. The process was efficient and competitively priced, and the work was quality.

I highly recommend S&F — they worked efficiently with my insurance company, coordinated a rental car, and did a great job on my car! I am so pleased. Carol and Chris are both super to work with.

I just picked up my car this morning and I could not be happier with the results! S&F did an amazing job (my car hasn’t looked this good since the day I bought it) and they were so friendly and helpful. They took care of all communication with the insurance company, and were constantly giving me updates on the progress. I had the misfortune of connecting with a low flying turkey on i95. He just wasn’t gaining any altitude as he crossed the highway in front of me, and boom… feathers in the rear view mirror. He knocked out my front headlight and did some metal damage to the surrounding body. S&F did a great job fixing the mess. It’s an old Mercedes Benz with 250K miles on it, and this was my first «collision», so getting it fixed for the next 250K miles was definitely high on my list. Great job, happy customer!

This place is amazing! My car was hit on the front right side and they made it look brand new and took care of all communications between insurance and enterprise. They even gave both the interior and exterior a wash as well as fix some other minor issues my car had before the accident with no additional cost. Best auto shop in boston by far!

4.5 stars for our first experience. My car got some exterior damage from a fender bender and Chris was able to take it in (almost) right away. Both he and Carol had excellent customer service and emailed me and called me with updates on the progress. They did a great job with the repairs, had it done when they said they would and organized much of the insurance ‘stuff’ and rental car that I needed. They also gave me a free detailing. Overall, stress free and 4.5 stars.

The scenario:
A moving truck scraped the side of my car and knocked my side-​view mirror off my 2008 Toyota Matrix. Thankfully they stopped, notified the cops who tracked me down, and we exchanged information.
The estimated and actual service to be done:
On the first appraisal from my insurance company, I needed a new mirror, and some scratches buffed out on both driver’s side doors. When S&F had their appraisers take a look, they found some damage done to the car on the front panel from where the mirror had scraped off paint on its downward spiral that the insurance company had missed.
Why S&F was great (several reasons):
*As a result of some of the damage, they pointed out to the insurance that they’d need to paint other un-​damaged areas so the car would match both old and new parts. Thanks to that, my neighbor just stopped me on the street today to ask, «Did you get a new car?» Yes. The work was that good.
*Labor vs. new part. When the insurance company suggested buffing out the dents, Chris did the calculations to realize it would be more economical to buy new parts than to have his guys spend 8+ hours on buff duty. When I asked if they bought them from a junk yard, he assured me they use only Toyota Factory parts.
*Chris has exceptional customer service. When I stopped in to grab my belongings, he and his staff helped move all of it into the rental car, then he showed me what damage was done, how they would fix it, and gave me a general prognosis on the state of my 99,000 mile car.
*Constant contact. Carol was on top of her game at all points of the process. She emailed me with updates, took care of paperwork for the insurance company for me, even helped me move my junk from the rental car back into my own car.
The final product:
My car was buffed, waxed, repainted (in parts), and on top of all that as part of their service, they detailed the car. So not only does it LOOK like a new car on the outside, it LOOKS AND SMELLS like a new car on the inside.
Overall:
The customer service really makes you feel like you’re a part of the process. They not only repair your car, they improve on what you originally handed over to them.

S & F Autobody is absolutely the best shop in the entire greater Boston area. I have written 2 other glowing reviews about them but don’t see them posted here. I have taken my Toyota Camry to S & F 3 times over the past several years (city living) and each time I have been amazed by the quality of service and work performed. Last year they fought hard with my insurance company after they said they would only approve used replacement parts. Chris, the owner, insisted on new parts and I got them! Chris and his staff are always professional and their follow up is quick.
S & F has a small shop but it is very well kept and very welcoming and clean. Chris does his absolute best on every job and I recommend him to all my friends. I hope Unilocal will post this review.

Chris and Carol go out of their way to make sure that your auto repair experience is as painless as possible. From arranging for a rental car at their location, to dealing directly with your insurance company’s appraiser and claims adjuster, to sending you email updates to keep you informed, S & F Auto will make sure that you are happy with their work. I have taken both my wife’s and my car to Chris and Carol and will recommend their services to any of my friends or family.

Called ahead and stopped by for an estimate of a good sized dent in the passenger door. They took pictures and promised me an estimate the next day by email. They emailed two days later and said that they would get it to me the next day. I reminded them twice. A month later, still no estimate. Big waste of time.

I scratched my car and knocked my mirror off. Took it to S&F for an estimate because the reviews sounded good. They sent me an estimate 2 days later for $ 1500. I was pretty surprised, that seemed way higher than I expected considering the car wasn’t dented or anything.
I decided to get a second and third opinion, and both of the other places told me $ 700 – 800. I ended up getting it done at Southie Auto Service, they did a perfect job, and it was less than half the cost.
I would never take my car here after that experience, and would recommend getting a second opinion if your estimate seems high.

I brought my 2009 VW Tiguan in for interior cleaning. I Actualy felt bad for them because I have two dogs and the car was a mess, really bad. I picked up my car in the afternoon and I was totally impressed with the job. It exceeded my expections, the car was almost like new and I can’t stress how bad it was when I dropped it off.
I highly recommend them for detailing your car.

I stopped by S & F Autobody to get a quotation on the replacement of my bumper. The auto body shop itself has a small parking space that you can pull into and the office is on the first floor. The office has a comfortable leather couch and there’s water etc in a small refrigerator.
Chris seemed like a perfectly reasonable person and his quotation was in line with what the cost of replacing the part. The bumper itself was fairly expensive and of the total bill their labor charges were reasonable. I chose not to go through insurance because I didn’t want to raise my car insurance rates. Chris was nice enough to bill me for the lower rate that my insurance company would negotiate for.
They replaced the bumper in a day and I was able to pick up the car the next morning. The work was done beautifully and they shampooed my car’s carpets and waxed the exterior. The car looked as good as new. Carol was very nice while wrapping up the last bit of paperwork and she gave me a little bottle of the paint they had mixed to fix a few random scratches on the car. Great service throughout the whole process. Of course, fixing the car wasn’t cheap but the process was painless enough considering the cost of the bumper and everything else. I hope I don’t have to go back again but if I do need auto body work this place would be on the top of my list.

I have been to S&F several times for auto body and mechanical issues for my 2001 Jeep Cherokee. In every instance I have had positive experiences. Everyone from the owner, to the service guys, to the receptionist is friendly, knowledgeable and attentive. It’s obvious they really believe in building long-​lasting relationships with their clients.
I am happy with the work they have done on my Jeep and would definitely go back to them in the future.
