Been eating their food for years but one day after work I decided to get a sub. Usually I get whatever sub I want WITHOUT onions but this time they put them on there. I’m eating it, it’s tastes sour but I thought it was from the onions being that I don’t like them. Right after I finished the dub I immediately felt sick. For a whole 4 days I was sick in bed with a stomach ache, fever, vomiting & the worst migraine I had in my life. I had to go to the hospital. I tried contacting the restaurant & didn’t get an answer.

A South Boston favorite, Italian Delight is always one to be sure to satisfy and is generally one of the more appealing places to eat in the town. On the inside, the place is mostly clean everywhere, with the dining area tables and booths always being ready to be sat at because of how clean they are. The art on the walls is hand painted and beautifully so done, and the seasonal decorations around holidays are always a nice touch. The party area/arcade surfaces are sometimes a little dirty but not enough to really warrant major complaint about. The arcade area is actually pretty good, with a variety of machines from Mrs. Pac-Man to Mortal Kombat 4 to Daytona U.S.A. 2 and more classic titles available to play, adding to it a foosball and two pool table both a little run down but still in good playing shape; such variety is a very good thing and gives the restaurant more personality than just being known for it’s food. Speaking of which, the food is something that makes or breaks a restaurant, and the food here is quite spot-on in regards to how the owners’ interpretation of Italian cuisine is(if I’m not mistaken, they are indeed from Sicily). I am a regular orderer of their subs and the fries that come with the combo, and it never fails to be very tasty and full of flavor. They’re more famous for their pizza, though, as many consider it the best in the town; there is some merit to this, as the pizza looks and tastes excellent, and although it is a bit greasy, hey, the grease gives it some character and adds a little to the flavor. Their baked spaghetti is also noted as being pretty good, and the few times I’ve eaten it, it has indeed been such. The service has always been kind and timely over both the phone and dining in, though occasionally there will be a little wait nearing the weekend because of how many frequenters the place experiences on Fridays and Saturdays, but this is nothing too bad at all. In closing, Italian Delight deserves and showcases its reputation as one of the best eats in the town, providing great food and service along with a few quirks that add liveliness to the establishment.

Something has xhanged. Our cheese steak just tasted awful the last two times we got them. This has been my favorite for years. Not anymore.

The only things I would like to down vote this place for are good things: *Our food came out piping hot and because we didn’t want to melt our faces off, we had to wait for them to cool a bit. *My eggplant parm sub was so good… and now even my leftovers are gone and I would do unspeakable things to have another right now. Seriously though, the restaurant is charming and the service is very friendly. The food is outstanding.

Best Chicken-chop sub I’ve ever tasted. I love cheesesteaks, however sometimes you can get tired of the same old thing. That’s what prompted me to try the Chicken-Chop and it was love at first bite. I get mine with no oregano, mustard, cheese, and tomato. Perfecto with a bag of chips or they have fries too. I prefer the chips. Typically we get carry out but they do have dine in too.

Best Cheesesteaks ever, to date. I might need to go to a rehab, as they seem to have addictive properties? We usually get take out mostly due to time, but we enjoyed a clean and friendly atmosphere when we did dine in.

Awesome sandwiches. The meatball sub deserves a special shout out. Reasonable prices and fast service make this one of the better choices for this small town.
