History

Established in 1995.

Working Persons Store started with nine styles of work boots and ten styles of dress shoes in a 1,300 square foot store in a town of 440 people. Shoe repair was our primary business and selling blemished work boots out of the back of a station wagon at city departments was our second biggest business segment.

Today Working Person’s Store is an award winning online retailer and the Lakeville location has grown tremendously. We no longer use that station wagon. Now we have a WPS truck that travels within a 100 mile radius of South Bend, Indiana.

Business Owner

Eric Deniger is the President of Working Person’s Store. He honorably served during Operation Desert Storm and went on to earn a degree from Illinois State University. He served as the President of Working Person’s for fifteen years and he is committed to serving the needs of working people by maintaining a great selection at great prices. Under Mr. Deniger’s leadership, Working Person’s Store won several awards including several appearances on the Inc.500 list of fastest growing privately held companies in America.
