When our pottery was finally ready, they mixed up two similar pieces that my daughter and her friend painted. They didn’t know which piece belonged to which girl. As these are memory keepsakes, it was important to us that each girl had the actually piece she painted. I was disappointed in the apathetic and unapologetic attitude the owner? /worker had towards the mix up.

My daughter and I went to spent some time together while we painted pottery. The facility was clean and organized. The staff was very helpful and friendly. It did take quite a while for our pottery to be done. Sadly the platter that I created crack in the kiln. The owner was very apologetic. She refunded my money plus gave me an extra $ 10 gift certificate for a future visit. I will definitely try Pigeon and Hen Pottery again.

Cute shop. Was pretty disappointed that the pottery available to paint/glaze was made in China. That alone made me almost walk out. It was kind of busy the day we went, but my questions were answered and explained with care and I really appreciate that. It would be nice to have more glaze selection, perhaps metallics, iridescents, and such. The ceramic piece, glaze/paint and firing of glazed pieces is all included in the price. I paid $ 35 for two pieces which I thought to be a bit high especially considering the ceramics were not even made by this shop, but it’s the only shop like this in the area so you really have no choice but to pay what they ask… and be aware that if you choose to glaze your piece, there is a 7 – 10 day wait to get it back. This info would have been very helpful seeing as how we went to make gifts for Father’s Day and weren’t able to give them until days after the holiday. I think hours of operation, firing schedules during holidays and perhaps a phone number posted on the door would be very beneficial to any potential clients. If I had known to come by a specific day, the daddy in our life would’ve received his gift on time. Nevertheless, this is a cute shop with friendly employees and it offers a fun activity for adults as well as children.

The owners are very welcoming and sell their own hand-made ceramics! Very nice little store. I picked up a unique reasonably priced gift and will definitely be back. They also have a paint your own ceramics workshop. I didn’t get a chance to paint anything, but there were a few people painting during my visit and they looked like they were really enjoying themselves. P. S. you can get more info at
