Couldn’t button a shirt for 1.5 yrs w/​o pain left arm/​joint pain from stressing do to lifting tables and chairs for a church festival. Stupid me, at 65 behaving like 35. He zeroed in on what was wrong (my other doc was close but off) in two places; soft tissue, lig./tendon tear/​damage. I’d given up on using a chain saw or playing V ball on the beach ever again. I did what he said and he fixed me; without surgery one with one session needing two shots that one visit.
My General practitioner doc and a friend recommended me to Dr. Scott. I’ve since sent three friends to him as he was slow to use a cortisone quick fix and quick to get me to a top notch MRI clinic whose staff were experts at reading film. And, get this, he admitted they caught a little (but important) something on the film he’d almost missed. Humility. I like that in a doc.
I just offered to take a friend to see him that involved a whole day of driving and 300 miles of touring. I believe in Dr. Warren Scott and his staff.
Also, he got me from «the cream» to using a vial and injecting hormone replacement. He’s what a good specialist should be. Got joints? Take ‘em to Dr. W. Scott. He has a good bedside manner as well.

After of being injured for 1.5 years, I was referred to Dr. Scott. The reason why I remained injured for so long was because it was mis-​diagnosed and mis-​treated, which further complicated and prolonged the injury.
Dr. Scott did an excellent job of diagnosing the injury and was very good & patient about listening to me while I communicated the symptoms, etc. In a short period of time, he figured out what was wrong, prescribed a recovery plan, and has me already getting re-​conditioned.

Dr Warren Scott MD provides an unusual experience as a medical provider in this day and age. I’ve been meaning to write a review for him for quite awhile. He and his caring and personal staff (yes, you, Susan :) are able to provide exceptional, professional and very personal service. They are engaged and knowledgeable about all the most current treatment methods available (and those up and coming), and use a fantastic new website for patient initiated and office related exchanges (appointments, info, resources… see
). You will not find a physician more experienced, thoughtful, thorough, and PRESENT in the room with you. Dr Warren Scott is a bit old school in that he actually really cares about his patients, and he really and truly WANTS to help, There are many «nice» doctors out there, and Dr. Scott is extremely personable, but he is also all business. He could not be more involved and committed to each patient and their issues. It appears he really enjoys his work and it is fulfilling to him. As difficult as it has become to work with insurance companies, he has found a way to work with them (and is very knowledgeable about them) without having them fully dictate treatment and service. He maintains great integrity within an impossible system.
Important to emphasize is that Dr. Scott really knows his stuff. He is an unusually brilliant doctor with a truly uncommon wealth of information and intelligence that allows him to make assessments and plans with incredible facility. He is a natural leader and creative problem solver, and really makes you feel safe in his care. He fully explains, in plain language, what the problem is as he sees it, using a multitude of tools (MRIs, skeletal models, illustrations… whatever it takes to be sure you understand the issue. Because of his familiarity and facility with all the tools available to him he can be very creative in finding ways to secure a diagnosis, or design a treatment or rehabilitation plan that will work for you as an individual. Very tailored treatment. One plan does not fit all. He integrates any input you have to personalize the plan, describes the treatment plan, and writes it out so you have a copy, and you’re off with a thoughtful, confident, and logical plan to go heal. As you continue under his care, he meets with you to be sure the plan is going as expected, and to work together if any adjustments need to be made. No falling through the cracks.
He has also been a well-​respected physician in Santa Cruz for many years. He knows and maintains relationships with many other area doctors. It turned out every one of my doctors knew him and enthusiastically approved (and sent along a warm greeting) Dr Scott goes a step further here, to find the very best adjunct services in the entire Bay Area including Lab work, MRI centers, the very best Surgeons, Pain management clinics and doctors, physical therapists, body work professionals, personal trainers… you name it, he knows someone he can refer you to with confidence. Impressively well integrated and active in the community, he’ll help you get what you need. I also appreciate that he makes very specific recommendations for items that can be found on the internet that may assist your recovery, rather than trying to sell you something overpriced out of his office. He’ll be sure you are offered the best treatment and treatment team available.
As I said to begin this review, this is an exceptional and unusual doctor and office. His staff couldn’t be more kind, sensitive, and responsive. Susan, at the desk, keeps it going behind the scenes in this busy place, and is caring, warm, and extremely effective. If you’d like a doctor who can and will take care of you in an age when patients are having to be so proactive and drive and direct their own care, this is where you should be. I’ve seen many of the «best» doctors coast to coast, but haven’t met a doctor as intellectually impressive, and personally invested in his patients’ care, as Warren Scott MD.

I went to see Dr Scott – first for my shoulder – and recently for my knee that has severe osteoarthritis. In both cases, he was patient, attentive and knowledgeable about my injury and remedy. I would definitely recommend him. I truly don’t understand the bad reviews.

Wow… where are all the positive reviews? We have been going to Dr Scott for years. He has helped my son, who plays high school basketball, giving him sound medical advice, and keeping him on the court. Whenever someone is raving about their sports doctor, more likely than not it is dr Scott they are referring to. He was originally referred to me by a friend, and many times since. He does run late with his appointment times, but that is because he takes his time with each patient. As you wait for him, you know you will have his attention when it is your turn. And, it’s worth it. Don’t pay attention to these negative reviews. This is the Dr. to see.

He should not have his license or practise medicine. I first saw him after a car accident for over 1 year. The entire time I was complaining of diibilitating back and hip pain. His diagnosis: nothing was wrong. I then sought out other doctors. I have undergone a hip surgery, countless spinal injections and rhizotomy’s for the past 7 + years due to his initial misdiagnosis. If you need to see a REAL Dr., visit the Soar Clinic in San Jose… they are amazing!

While Dr. Scott is a pleasant enough man, his office is a joke… How about an office where you show up for an appointment only to discover that the office is locked up tight, with no note, because the doctor has decided to go skiing? When you call to find out why they didn’t call to cancel, they tell you they did, but you have caller ID on your phone and they never did call you.
How about an office where you call for three weeks for an appointment but the answering machine is full and there is no recommendation to go to another doctor?
How about a doctor whose nickname is «Dr. Cortisone» because his solution for everything is a cortisone shot, which may not be the best.
How about a doctor who refers you to a surgeon, whom he «works closely with» but, in fact, never discussed the surgery with and didn’t remember what the surgery was.
This doctor needs a serious self-​examination.
