Valero Gas/ U Haul rental

Way over-​priced gas station… Among THE most expensive in the Santa Cruz Soquel area… amazing that they are still in business. They are the closest station to my house, but I would never buy anything there.

I will NEVER attempt to rent a UHAUL from this kook ever again! I reserved a truck and called this guy before coming to pick it up. I told him that I had to go get my bike and ride it to his station. He said «ok I’ll see you soon». When I got there he made me wait about 10 minutes while he helped another couple and then let me know that he didn’t have a truck for me! No apology, just I don’t have a truck for you!
Not only will I never rent from him I will never buy gas at his station! DO NOT TRUST THIS «BUSINESS»!

DO NOT. I repeat DO NOT get a UHAUL from this bastard. We had been living with boxes for a month. I ordered a uhaul through this guy. We show up on moving day and he DOESNT have it. I even called the day before to confirm. You CANT do this to people on there moving day. He totally put us out. We only had two days to move. We have two small children. We ended up getting one at the 76 near by. It cost us double the amount because it was too small and we made five trips. This guy doesn’t deserve to be a business owner. WORST business in town. NEVER go there. This guy is a total JERK.

Be careful when renting a U Haul. My friend was over charged for her U Haul fee after having a price quote she received from a different station in Soquel. She was told to go to him by the other station in Soquel. This guy, Shammi, at Volero quoted double the price and refused to accept that there was a already quoted price. He was sneaky and someone who is not to be trusted.
Makes me wonder what happens if you purchase gas there with a credit card!

They are the best. Every time I go in there they are beyond helpful and go the extra mile to make you feel welcome. I recommend them highly. Shami, Ozzie, and their workers are always very respectful and friendly. They work hard to please you and it shows. Thank you for the great service.

This is the closest gas station to my house. My wife and I almost never use our credit cards at the same places. But within a week of us both using our credit cards here, both of them had fraudulent charges made on them; upwards of $ 1,800 each (2 iPads). Haven’t been back. Suggest others avoid too.

Today, I stopped at this Valero at Porter and Main, to air the tires on my truck. I gave the owner, Shami 1 dollar to use the tire filling station. I was able to fill only one tire and the compressor stopped. I asked this Shami to restart the compressor, and that it had only been on long enough to fill one tire. His answer was hold out his hand for ANOTHER DOLLAR! I was outraged and did not buy into this baloney! I think he has set the compressor to be to brief to meet the needs and then scams you out of additonal money. (an idea. if you buy any amount of gas. even 1 dollar, he has to let you use the air for free. it is the law and is posted on the compressor) To think that a dollar doesn’t represent enough electricy to fill four tires is an outrage. I have filed formal complaint with Valero at their headquarters… Don’t give this guy any business!
