Tokaido Gallery Japanese Antiques is located in the heart of Soquel Village in Soquel, California. We carry a wide range of antiques from Japan many dating back to the early to mid 1800s. We have many tansu (chests), tetsubin (tea kettles), ceramic, metal and wood hibachi (brazier), folk arts and much more. Come visit our store when you are in the area.
History
Established in 2005.
Tokaido Gallery Japanese Antiques was established in 2005 in collaboration with McMullen’s Japanese Antiques located currently in Oxnard, California. McMullen’s Japanease Antiques has been in business for over 50 years. Tokaido Gallery was established in 2005, but was put on temporary hold as the owner, Lisa Harvey, cared for her child born with a severe disability. Now that her daughter is getting stronger and older, Lisa is able to resume her business.

Business Owner
Lisa Harvey was born and raised in Japan in the mid 60’s to the late 70’s. Lisa lived mainly in Fukushima and Tokyo as a young child but then returned to Tokyo, Japan in the late 90’s to work as part of her MBA program at Thunderbird, School of Global Management. Despite her extreme height, she is Japanese at heart. Growing up in a society so rich with culture, history and traditions gave Lisa a passion and love of Japanese treasures.
