I have been taking my cars to Stuart Automotive for more than five years and have been very happy with their service. Any time a repair or even maintenance is going to be more than expected, they call to let me know what needs to be done before just doing it. The owner, Doug, is respectful and explains things well. Called my regular mechanic and he just couldn’t get me in with his schedule. He told me to call Stuart automotive as he is an honest mechanic. My drive belt just started to Frey and I pulled off on 41^st. My luck he was right across the street behind café cruz. He got me in and back on the road in the same day. Honest guy. Extremely helpful and would recommend and use him again. So glad I now have back up mechanic! Thanks Doug.

This is my second time bringing my car to Stuart’s. Both times I have received excellent customer service, and at a good price. I been recommending Stuart’s to everyone I know. Stuart’s will be the only shop I take my car to from now on. So glad to have a place I feel good about bringing my car to for repairs, no more dealerships for me.

My clutch went out on my 2008 PT Cruiser. I called my friend that own’s Wilson Tires for a referral to somebody that could to that work and he told me to Call Stuart’s.
I called and spoke to Doug. He told me that he would be happy to help me confirm my diagnosis of a bad clutch, but he wouldn’t be able to do the work for a week because he was going out of town for Christmas vacation.
I took it by an hour later, he confirmed what I thought and gave me a quote for replacement.
Unfortunately, I needed the car right away and couldn’t wait for the week so I called around to see who could do it quickly. Doug’s diagnoses allowed me to do that and I sincerely appreciate him taking time out of his busy schedule right before leaving for vacation, and I look forward to taking my car back to him the next time I have any service needs.

This guy is going on my Christmas card list! 2^nd time back to Doug now– and this time I had a wonderful noise coming from my Jeep that sounded like something underneath was going to just fall to the ground! And of course it’s day 1 of my work week, and of course I’m short on «rides around town favors» this week. So, I call Doug at 2pm Thursday, explain my predicament, and he squeezes me in first thing the next morning, a Friday no less. I show up at 8am, he drives it around right away, puts it on the rack and diagnosis’ it immediately, welds my exhaust brackets and a small exhaust hole back together, charges me $ 80 (WHAT?!?), and I’m back in business before noon!!! This guy must sleep well at night knowing he takes away the nightmares from people who need an honest mechanic– Doug., where do you want me to mail your card???

Im out of town, car broke down on a Sunday and read good reviews on Unilocal on this place, so I left my car and a note. Doug was fair, prompt, honest. He worked with me on the details and when I discussed it with my mechanic, I was comfortable that I was getting fair treatment. All this from a stranger that could have given me a hard time. I have to recommend Stuart.

I have been taking my 3 cars to the Stuart since 2002. After more than 200K miles they are still running very well.
They run very thorough tests and can detect issues in the cars before anything breaks down (check the projects they are doing at the end of the shop that can only be done by highly experienced professionals).
Stuart also works with other shops with specialized tools for specific car models, so even when our cars had the most obscure computer errors, our cars got fixed.

If you are looking for an honest and reliable auto shop, Stuart Automotive is for you. I have taken my vehicles there for many years, including work from engine rebuilds to simple oil changes. Every experience has been outstanding. They’ll fix anything from classic cars to the most modern and sophisticated models, and they’ll do it right and at a predetermined and fair price. Go there once, and you’ll keep going back. And by the way, giving this shop a one-​star because it does not offer smog checks is like giving a smog-​check shop a one-​star because it does not offer oil changes, engine rebuilding, brake jobs, tune-​ups, suspension rebuilds and everything else to make our vehicles healthy and safe.

great folks, i took one of my cars there, as its so close to were i work, so i could drop it off and walk to work, i had a problem that three other places could not figure out, and they fixed it without a hitch, now i am a regular! maybe i should not tell you all this as they are already busy enough, but its a hidden gem in the auto repair world.
