BEWARE! Like others have stated. This is a shady company with a shady owner(criminal) and incompetent employees. They will damage your vehicle, deny responsibility and overcharge your credit card. There are any number of better businesses in the area.

They lied on the paperwork about an unattended vehicle tow they did. The paperwork said it was parked for 2 hours and the vehicle was only parked for 30 min but they rushed down to tow it. 261.00 for less than an hour in storage and a 2 block tow. Seems like a scam to me. I wouldn’t use them to scrape a dead squirrel off my tire.

Reference is made to Robert B.‘s review of Speed of Light Towing. I am the«friend» Rob refers to who also got my car towed. I understand that this company was doing its job, which was to come out and tow cars that were cited by First Alarm(review forthcoming of that f’d up company) from our friend’s townhouse complex, but the way they did it was damaging and unprofessional. The asphalt still has the remains of 10 meter long tracks of my tires, which were scraped and burned when they pulled my car backwards out of the spot. I’m sure my AWD transmission loved that. You can see the tire tracks are abrupt and criss-crossed, and my undercarriage is all scraped up; they really did a shoddy fast job and were trying like hell to get outta there fast. Further, Speed of Light is closed on Sunday, so they removed our cars at 3 a.m. Sunday but would typically not provide a way for people to obtain their cars that day. We had to make multiple calls and pay an additional $ 90 each to be able to claim our automobiles(total cost $ 386.50 per car including towing, storage and«gate fee»). I’ll be contacting my insurance company, and if there is any damage to my transmission, my lawyer.

I’m upset. Really upset. These guys at Speed of Light got a call from some self righteous rent-a-cop and towed my car out of guest parking in the middle of the night. Good for them. Speed of Light. As in quick, as in gone before anyone could catch them in the act. They tow cars before the sun comes up. Like, in a hurry. As in, carelessly. Oh yeah, nobody is in the office on weekends so us poor suckers can’t even get our cars after they are towed. Speed of growing grass is more like it. Thankfully, they do come out to open the gate and take your money… but that comes at a price too — $ 90.00 for a gate fee. really? Add $ 35 for filling out a form saying you did it? You can snatch a car at any hour, but you can’t know that someone will want it back? Nice business plan. Thanks for EFFINGUPMYCAR speedy. How come there is a foot print on my engine compartment and a crack in the tail light right next to it? How come your grubby equipment rubbed off on my new paint? I wasn’t the only one who had the unpleasant experience to meet these nice folks. They got my friend’s car as well. an Audi a4 — nice car –4 wheel drive — hard to lift up and roll away… but guess what? It seems towing all wheel drive cars are no problem for them, they have really big strong powerful trucks that just drag them out on the street with no effort at all. Who cares if the wheels were locked up and left a skid almost 30 feet into the street. The driver was on a mission and had to get his job done. Kudos to him. I hope he gets a raise for speedy work. Did you notice the bumper scraping along the ground as you loaded it on your big truck? Oh yeah, it was dark out and you were working at the Speed of Light. I’m sure these guys were just doing their jobs as they were supposed to, but really? Why don’t you stick to helping granny change her flat tire. Thanks for making an unpleasant experience out of my day off.
