Rick does a good job on leather shoes. (not the place to take tennis shoes I hear) He has done a great job on my leather boots and handmade Italian/​designer shoes. I would recommend going here but know that he is not the best with customer service. And DO NOT go to pick up your pair without the ticket he gives you. He can also take a little longer than the time quoted. Overall he does a great job at very fair prices.

I had read the few reviews that were posted, but still decided that i would check it out, cause there ain’t much else in the area. Now, granted, Rick can seem a touch ‘cranky’, but he’s a dieing breed! Cobblers ain’t on every corner anymore! At first he may have been a little off-​putting, but the second that I started talking with him, instead of treating him like a servant, he turned out to be a great guy, that loves what he does. He told me bout his years in the business, we talked bout how times have change. He’s just an honest worker, hoping to make a buck! I took him a pair of $ 300 boots that I’ve had for 10 years, hoping he’d be able to repair the soles. Not only did he fix the busted soles, but he also re-​heeled them for me! For $ 48, I sure as hell can’t complain. If ya need some shoes fixed in the area, I’d recommend going here. As long as you’re not some entitled prick, and you can show a little respect to someone in the service industry! Lol

If I could give negative stars I would.
Took a pair of retro Jordan’s to «Rick». All he could do was talk about how much he hates those kind of shoes and what a pain it is to fix them. I said that’s fine I will just buy glue and fix them myself. Then the guy starts telling me this is a job for a pro blah, blah, blah. SO I’m like… OK, WIll you fix the shoe or not?
He Proceeds to rip both shoes completely off the shoes right in front of me! All I wanted done was a small touch up and he went and made it a huge job!!! Long story short he ruined the shoes and admitted that he had done a sloppy job!!! The soles are totally crooked, and peeled off as soon as i touched them. Yellow glue is smeared all over the WHITE laces, tongue and leather of this $ 250.00 pair of shoes and he has the nerve to tell me its $ 40.00 for the repair!!! I told him no way!!! So he threatened to call the cops!!!
Bottom line, this guy is a sloppy crook and a total jerk
You are better off using Duct Tape than going to Rick’s Cobbler Shop!
