TIPS Tri Tip is the home of the World Famous «Cubed» Tri-tip Sando! It’s a half pound of meat on a toasted roll, topped with chipotle slaw and our famous chipotle sauce. For the carb conscience, our sando can be made in a bowl without the bread.
We also have our TIPS Street Corn that is dipped in chipotle sauce and rolled in Cotija cheese and a little cayenne pepper.
For our Vegetarians, we have a wonderful «Veggiebowl», grilled veggies on a bed of slaw with a side of Chipotle sauce. Seasonal vegetables grown locally.
History
Established in 2008.
Tips Tri-tip was founded in 2008 by Andrew & Susie Pryfogle. For years, Andrew had been perfecting his «cubed» tri-tip sandwich… or what they affectionately call their «sando». Friends and family raved about it and were constantly encouraging them to go into business. Then, in July 2008, Andrew lost his job and they found themselves at a cross-roads. As a senior executive in the telecommunications industry, finding that next role was going to take time. So what to do? What better time to roll the dice on a brand new venture!
Tips first commercial event was a 2-day art festival in downtown Pleasanton, CA that September. And at the end of 2 days, they had sold a few hundred sandos and completely lost their shirts. Wow… what a painful lesson!
In 2009 they started doing the CHEERS! St. Helena wine stroll and quickly became a favorite of the people.
2013 Andrew and Susie move to Glen Ellen and brought Tri-tip to the Sonoma Farmers Market.
