This bookstore smells like the accumulated book dust of the 20th C. Maybe that doesn’t sound as good as it smells, but, trust me, you, the book lover, will appreciate it when you walk in. I was afraid it was going to be a little stuffy(it is a rare bookstore), but I didn’t feel like I was being watched at all and I did plenty of browsing. Their collection of travel literature and particularly that relevant to the white settlement of California was pretty extensive. They also seemed to have many adventure tales like those by Rider Haggard, Zane Grey and similar. The prices, I thought, were totally reasonable. I found a book that looked like an old library copy from the early 20th C and it was only $ 20.
