Amazing food! Love! And I mean love their coconut shrimp! The sample platter was great and sushi was an excellent choice! Fresh! Crunchy and delicious all around! Inside the restaurant is comfortable and the décor is simple and modernistic dessert was amazing as well I got the green tea ice cream.

We come here once a month for unique dishes not found anywhere: avocado shrimp salad, wasabi lumpy crab cake and seafood sampler for two.

Very nice ambiance and excellent customer service. The servers were very friendly and attentive without being overbearing. I had the Lobster Maki which had Lobster tempura, cucumber, and spicy mayo, wrapped with avocado. Absolutely delicious! I also had a coconut Martini with toasted coconut on the rim. Looking forward to going back.

I’ve been coming to this place for a long time and for one main reason… The sushi. It’s always fresh, light, and delicious. I’ve gotten sushi all over the world and I always find myself comparing it to this place. The other items on the menu are good but, for me, the sushi is what keeps me coming back. The ambiance is reminiscent of someplace you’d find in NYC, and the customer service is always exceptional. A little tip… Almost everytime I’ve sat at the sushi bar, the sushi chef will hook me up with a little taste of a few different things free of charge. Give it a shot and see if you get the same treatment and, if not, at least you get to be entertained while watching them make your sushi.

Went here for lunch yesterday with my lovely mother. Wasabi is located in the up and coming great downtown area of Somerville. Located directly to the right of Savor, this is a great area for a date night. Upon walking in at around 1pm, I noticed the atmosphere was very dark. Even during the meal, I could hardly see my mother during peak hours of the day. I do not prefer this as I would like to see my mother and the sushi I am eating. Especially since sushi is always so well presented. Our services was nothing to complain about. They were very fast and always helpful, especially when explaining the menu and providing us with ample ginger. There were not many people in the dining area when we ate. Only about 1 or 2 tables out of 20 or so were filled. This place probably gets more poppin around dinner time as does the entire downtown area. The sushi was honestly average. When we were served our 2 special rolls the sushi was almost warm. The rolls were also small which makes me wonder why they were falling apart so easily. I would def eat this sushi over costco or shop rite sushi, but i was not impressed. Especially since the price was $ 30 not including tip for 2 rolls. There is a more affordable lunch menu but its very limited and not customizable. I woudl come back maybe for dinner but there are so many other less expensive and delicious sushi places in the area,

So this is one of the only Sushi places I could find in the area with a full bar. There were 3 of us traveling for work and we didn’t want a BYOB. The ratings seemed good so we checked it out. Very casual little place that looks more like a pub from the outside. We were immediately seated in their open dining area. It was a Monday so they weren’t too busy. The waitresses moved quick and got us our hot sake and Kirin beers. The apps were solid(duck spring rolls & shrimp shumai). We then ate about 7 specialty rolls that were all really good. All were above average. Best part was that the meal was $ 130 for the 3 of us with apps, drinks and shushi. We were expecting a bit more. The price tipped the scale of a 3 to a 4 star. Would definitely go again when in the area!

Great place! We go there at least once a week and sit at the bar. The staff are so lovely and downright hysterical with their fun banter. The sushi chefs are great. For the regulars, they treat you very well and will even create special rolls upon request. Always a lot of fun, great service, very good value and delicious.

Great ambiance for a sushi place. I went for some udon. The broth lacked flavor and the chicken had an after taste. This might not be the place to go for their sounds. The rolls were on the pricier side. I really enjoyed the fried ice cream. It was crispy warm and it went well with the taste of vanilla ice cream. They could work on the presentation.

Really good food(cocktails are amazing too), quick service and very reasonable in price. Even if you are not a fish lover like my fiancé isn’t they have great non fish meals too :)

The atmosphere here is pretty good. Not as classy n quiet as Yutaka but a different vibe. It’s more urban and upbeat. Full bar is nice and the service was great. The sushi was good. Pretty good variety here and a modern urban Asian fusion feeling.

Our go-to place for modern Asian fusion dishes and interesting cocktails. Friendly service and nice atmosphere, albeit a tad loud on a busy evening. Good choices for both omnis and vegetarians, excellent vegan sushi. A favorite!

We came here on Sunday night about an hour before closing. I appreciate the fact that they are not rushing all the last seating customers, and the staff are friendly and seems pretty knowledgeable about what they’re doing. They have pretty good rolls and whatever you do, please don’t order the deep fried rolls, it was greasy and $ 14.95 for a lobster tempura roll which turned out to be a shrimp not lobster. Other than that, it was not a bad dinner and maybe we’ll come back in the future.

I thought it was very good. Good service and the sushi was very fresh. I had a business meeting so the dining time was limited. I do want to go back and try more

I have been here a handful of times and have to say that I always have a wonderful dining experience. Although the restaurant is fairly small, it provides an intimate, authentic setting with modern décor to give it an upscale feel. This is a local hotspot for me and I like that they have a bar with a fabulous cocktail selection along with saki which isn’t my thing but worth trying to enhance your dining experience. You can expect top quality food along with a nice selection for everyone, even if you are not a sushi guru. The prices are a little pricier for the area but anything exceptional does come at a price so its justified.

This is a solid sushi place. I’ve been to so many sushi restaurants in the Seattle area(and we know our sushi) and I can say this place is right up there with the best of them. 1. Fresh. 2. Fast service. 3. Friendly staff. 4. Lots of seating. 5. Great food. Only downside is that the place seems to be a bit more spendy than other comparable places.

When Wasabi first opened in Somerville, my family was one of the first to try the place. We still get cravings for the Chilean Crunch roll and the nabeyaki udon, amongst other things. If you live in Central NJ, you must try out Wasabi. It is a family-run business and they really get to know their regulars. Best of all, it is priced well for most budgets and the quality you get is superior to most of the other nearby sushi joints. Don’t miss this one! And, tell them the Palumbos say hi.
