Went here first time last week. All the sandwiches are named after painters and other sandwiches are named after writers or other famous folks. I had the«Georgia O’Keeffe», breaded chix cutlet, lettuce, tomato, bacon and her mayo on round roll. That and a bottle of ice tea was around $ 10 which is slightly pricey. Would go back again.

I’ve been here around 10 times over the last couple of years. They have a challenging menu of sandwiches but the menu selections seem to be on the decline. I had some kind of ham — chicken wrap which was pretty good accompanied by Oak aged Iced Tea(I think that’s what it is).The sandwiches are named after artists. It is sort of fun to see a sandwich named after the not especially well known Charles DeMuth. It is bearable to sit and eat here but as with all these places, I wish there was no music. Music has turned into a menace to our society. How much ululation about endless love can I take! Parsifal gently floating in the background and Edith Piaf would be good. But Adam Levine or Beyonce — no — my hackles rise — my digestion rebels. I think of Huysmans and wish to retreat into the Middle Ages. I think of work and say is there hope? I can’t go on, I“ll go on.

I work right behind Tommy’s and we love it. Everyone is so sweet in there and the sandwhiches are filling and fresh. Their rye bread is my favorite. Highly recommeneded!

Delicious, great prices, fast service. What else could you want out of lunch? My office is blissfully within delivery distance of this little neighborhood treat and thank goodness because even though the town is full of restaurants, finding a really decent sandwich proves to be a little difficult. Not at Tommy’s! The serving sizes are satisfying to just a bit too much. Bring your appetite! The price for the portions is a great deal and they have anything you could want between two slices of anything. For those not sure, they have a variety of pre-set sandwiches but build-your-own works just fine too. Looking forward to using their catering!

Got a recommendation from a local business to go there for great sandwiches and salads. We were not disappointed — 2 of us got sandwiches that were great. There are so many choices to choose from that it was hard to pick. Will definitely go back when in the area again.

Tommy’s makes superb sandwiches. They roast the turkey and beef they use in the sandwiches and use fresh breads. Their chicken salad is excellent and among the best I’ve ever had. The fresh aiolis are tasty as is the horseradish cream sauce. Yes, it is a little on the pricey side, but you are paying for quality.

This is a decent place to get a decent sandwich. Nothing ridiculously good, nothing ridiculously bad. The Keith Haring(roast beef, cheddar, caramelized onions & horseradish on multigrain) is a large-ish and tasty sandwich. Personally, I think that they are a little on the pricey side, but only a little, so it’s totally justifiable if you are in the mood for it. Their bagels aren’t great though.

Good sandwiches BUT they charge $ 1.50 if you use a credit card – crazy!(And disallowed by the cc companies.) Customer service could definitely be more friendly.

This great sandwich shop offers a variety of novel sandwiches with celebrity names to match. The portions are quite large so the pricier selection is worth it. A lot of the ingredients are made by the deli itself(mozzarella, breads, etc.) so everything looks and tastes fresh. There is also a great salad and wrap selection as well as a number of desert options. Sandwiches are about $ 6 – 8 and do not come with chips or anyhing on the side, but again the portions are more than ample. As of March 2009 they do charge a $ 1.50 surcharge for using credit or debit cards, so bring cash. As the name implies Tommy’s also does catering, which explains why they are not open on the weekends during the summer, and closed on Sundays during the winter. If you are in Somerville during the day and looking for a great sandwich I suggest giving Tommy’s a try.
