The Perfect Threading Spa

Eyebrow threading alone they do a good job, but the business is really disorganized. I bought the groupon after seeing the sign outside and went in and the owner did a great job with my eyebrows. The place is definitely not fancy, especially considering it’s normally $ 12. (Tbf this is the going rate in Boston)
However they are just so unreliable that I won’t be going back. I went back to get my eyebrows done at the time they were supposed to open, but they were closed. After 10 minutes of waiting no one had showed up so I called them and it went to voice mail. I went and got a frozen yogurt and went back — they were still closed. I called again– still voicemail. Seriously? 30 minutes after they were supposed to open? I gave up.
I then went back a few weeks later and got my eyebrows done by the new employee. She was extremely nice and did a good job but took so long that my arm started to hurt from holding my eyebrow which has never happened before.
I noticed that other people also have complained they aren’t open when they’re supposed to be so I definitely won’t be making another trip to Davis if I can’t even be sure they’re going to be open.

A no frills, small space that’s on the second floor of an office building. I thought the eyebrow threading was pretty good. There was only one person working so thankfully I didn’t have to wait long when I walked in. They take appointments so it might be good to call ahead.

This place is very overpriced compared to similar threading places, the lady did a mediocre job doing a full face for me; I had to redo my forehead at a different place and also she could shape my eyebrows symmetrically (which is the least expected of an eyebrow threading session).

I’ve been getting my eyebrows threaded (in the Middle East) for about 7 years now and used to feel really fresh after getting them done. I didn’t get that same feeling here, nothing «wow» about the place or my eyebrows afterwards, but Shusham did a decent job. She trimmed my eyebrows as I asked and didn’t mess with the shape which is a big plus — it took me years to even them out and there are some parts I’m still trying to grow in; she didn’t go crazy and make them really thin, just cleaned them up. It was also the most pain-​free threading I’ve ever had. It just wasn’t fantastic and I don’t feel my eyebrows look as good as they used to after previous threading sessions. It’s my first experience with threading in the Boston area so I will look around and see what else is out there, but I wouldn’t hesitate to come back to The Perfect Threading Spa for a decent eyebrow cleanup. It was quick (10 minutes) and from what I hear pretty standard in terms of price ($ 12 before tip). She also gave me a loyalty card.

Located right in the heart of Davis Square. There is a shared office space waiting room, so when you walk in, if you see someone is in the chair, wait in the waiting room for her to come get you. Maybe they should put up a sign. The woman was fast, sweet, and did a good job. Reasonable priced threading. No frills– just a couple chairs. No loyalty card.

First off, I saw some reviews saying the person that works here is inexperienced. That is absolutely not true, I’d say she definitely knows what she’s doing (from what I saw, it looks like only one woman works there– and she is the owner). However I only went in to get my upper lip done, so I can’t comment on whether she does eyebrows well or not. And I will not be going back there, so I’ll never find out either.
I looked on their website before going, and saw that they open at 10AM. After completing some errands in the morning, I stopped by at 10:15AM. They were closed. I called the phone number on their answering machine, which took me to the owner’s cell phone. She assured me she was running late and would be there momentarily. While she was on the phone, I asked about her price for upper lip threading and if she did student discounts. She said upper lip was $ 8 and yes, she did student discounts.
She arrived around 10:30AM and called me in within a few minutes. I had never done upper lip threading before but the pain was tolerable and she did a very good job. I was impressed, she got all the tiny little hairs and it looked completely clean. When I went to pay, she informed me the student discount was ONLY for eyebrows (???). Couldn’t she have told me this over the phone when I had asked about it? To conclude, I was annoyed by several things and won’t be returning.
P. S. no loyalty card, like some of the other threading places are doing.

Tucked away in Davis Square is a tiny threading salon. With only 3 chairs in a room that’s smaller than my bedroom, it’s not the most glamorous threading salon, but they do a fabulous job. I came here for the first time and was greeted by Sushana (?). She was quick, meticulous, and didn’t skimp on the aloe at the end (which is great because I tend to puff up like no other). I always get my eyebrows and upper lip done in conjunction and she did a great job with both. She even gave me her personal number to call ahead and make sure she’ll be the one working when I make an appointment. Will definitely be back.

I was nervous about trusting my brows to someone else. They were not fabulous to start with but I was terrified of sitting up with tiny, thin eyebrows. I took the chance and walked in on a Monday afternoon and had a wonderful experience. The threading was quick and no more painful than plucking, and the results were much better than I’d hoped. Best $ 10 I’ll spend all month!

I think this place is great: it’s hidden in an office building in Davis Square so you have to look for the sign on the sidewalk advertising The Perfect Threading Spa. Every time I’ve gotten my brows done here, the process is quick and painless. I advise going sometime during the day to avoid having to wait since its usually only one person doing the threading.
They also use hand sanitizer before working on your brows and unlike some other threading places in Davis, I haven’t gotten cut while getting threaded here. To echo what some of the other reviewers have said, the threading does last up to three weeks but the price is comparable to other places in the area.

I think the girl who did my eyebrows/​upper lip was new because she did not seem to follow technique I have had in the past. I left with uneven eyebrows that looked worse than when I came in. She never trimmed my eyebrows so I asked her to at the end and she apologized like she had forgotten. You are supposed to trim before the threading even begins.
She was very slow so the threading was extremely painful. The slow pace and extended pulling time before the actual «pluck» caused my skin to be irritated and left me with a painful red bumpy rash on both sides of my lip (this has never happened before) It is embarassing and I have to wear makeup to cover it now.
I will never go here again. Maybe this girl was not the owner and the owner is better but regardless, I look terrible and my face hurts.

The woman who works here is amazing and really sweet. She is fast, kind and good at what she does. The price is more than reasonable too. I used to pay double what she charges, on Newbury Street.

There was no waiting time. Clean and good service. I normally don’t trust salons with anything that has to do with my skin and face, but I was referred to this place. She did exactly what I asked (not to trim them thinner and no change to my eyebrows shape/​natural arch). A little too pricy for not a lot of work though.
Generally, I’m sure that as threading becomes more popular, prices will go down.

She always does an amazing job! Lasts 3 weeks and its really neat! Only thing is you may have to wait since she’s the only one who works there

I love this place! I’m new to the area and it was hard for me to put my trust in anyone else with my precious brows. I’ve been three times already, and each time had a different woman do my eyebrows. They looked perfect every time! Love this place, it’s now my go to! The woman today even made my face look symmetrical, which as everyone knows, eyebrows are usually «sisters, not twins» ;) definitely stop by this place if you’re in the area!

If you thrive for the perfect eyebrows, The Perfect Threading Spa at Davis Square is the right place to go. I go there every time I need to do my eyebrows and upper lips.
I ask for Susham, the owner of the Spa, she does perfect job. She is very professional. And most important she made it affordable. Students get discount.
I would highly recommend this threading spa if u are fan of threading. Give it a try, You will love it.
This is affordable, you get perfect shape and it is conveniently located near red line t station (above Chipotle) at Davis Square.

As the name «the perfect threading» the service here is PERFECT! In addition, they give student discount but one should have a proper student ID. They also have a scheme goin on. If you go there for 10times, you get a free service for 11^th
Time. What else one need? MUST RECOMENDED threading spa!

I’ve been to different shops all over Mass as I’ve moved around, always one of the first things I look for at a new place!
Very happy I stopped in here. She was nice and thorough. I will say it hurt a little more here than other places I’ve been too but you can’t complain about results. No irritation afterwards. make sure to get the aloe!

This was my first time getting my eyebrows threaded and I had a horrible experience. The threader opened shop late, at about 10:30 that day, so I was waiting outside the door for a while. Then I told her to leave my brows as thick as possible and just make them more symmetrical. I stressed this point many times.
I left with eyebrows that were pencil thin. and completely uneven! The arch on one side was much shorter, and the beginnings of the two brows were also lopsided. I was horrified when I saw myself in the mirror. When I asked her why she made them so thin and uneven, she said that my brows just «grow out like that.» This response was even more upsetting because not only did she botch up my eyebrows, she wouldn’t even take responsibility for it! I am NEVER going back there again. This place may have turned me off threading for good.

I usually get my eyebrows done at the threading place in the Cambridgeside Galleria, but I was running errands in Davis one Sunday afternoon and remembered this place had opened pretty recently. I walked on up and was the only customer, so the girl took me right away.
I like when eyebrow stylists get a bit creative with the shapes, so it really looks like you got them done. However, this stylist mainly focused on cleaning them up, so I suggested she take more hair off certain parts of the brows. She was open to my suggestions and tried to give me what I wanted, so that was appreciated, but I think the end result still wasn’t exactly what I expected.
She was very friendly though, and the customer service was great. The price for eyebrows is $ 12, but she asked if I had my student ID. Yes, I conveniently carry my student ID with me at all times (who cares that it hasn’t been valid for 2 years?). So she ended up only charging me $ 10! This is a great price for Boston standards. I’ll definitely return when I need a quick, cheap brow fix.
