I don’t usually eat Vegan, but I honestly couldn’t tell the difference. The flavors were great, and I didn’t feel like I was eating Vegan. I got the Fried Tofu taco and the Chorizo Seitan taco. they were AWESOME! The tofu was fried in such a way that I forgot it was fried tofu. The lettuce and sauce and topping had a big part in that. The chorizo seitan had the perfect amount of spice(which is a little more than what normal people like since I like things spicy). I put some of my guacamole in there and it was perfect! The flavors were right on, and kept me wanting more. But the $ 10 meal of two tacos and chips was definitely filling. It was a solid, and flavorful meal. I would definitely go again!

Really awesome. I didn’t even know what I was eating had no meat until I came here to leave a review. Lets not even taco bout that okay? Lets taco bout how awesome the tacos were along with the rice and beans. I got the chimichurri tempeh taco and the chorizo seitan taco along with a side of rice and beans. Filling and delish for 10 bucks! Home made tortillas too.

I’m carnivorous and not upset about it. So any place that says vegan has already distanced itself from what I would want as comfort food but I gave this a chance for their cookies and donuts and then stayed for the vegan tacos. My favorites are the fried plantain and the bbq jackfruit. So good, full of flavor, and you forget you ever wanted meat in the first place.

The boyf is vegetarian some days of the week because of religious purposes and so I’ve been trying to find places around the ‘ville that do not involve Chipotle. We’ve always passed by this place and the boyf was craving Chipotle and I was like no! So Taco Party it was. Super friendly, super helpful staff. There were 3 tables that fit 4 each and then there was a bench table along the store front. Cute and simple. For the food, I would say the fried tofu taco was bomb. Next time I’m definitely gonna get the combo with two fried tofu ones. I also got the chimichurri tempeh which was eh out of all 4. I swear someone went to the grocery and mistook parsley for cilantro because I fed tasted parsley and I’m not too fond of Mexican with parsley?! Maybe it was just me. Would’ve been nice if it was all cilantro chimichurri! The boyf got the sriracha bbq jackfruit and that was my second fave. Not bad but not as great as the fried tofu. The chorizo seitan was also pretty good, on par with the sriracha jackfruit. We both got the chips and bean dip. I knew there wouldn’t be enough for me to get dip generously onto my chips so I spread it out evenly. The boyf finished all his dip with half the chips still left. Typical. They weren’t anything amazing or to die for. For some reason I thought it was supposed to be warm, probs cause I make mine warm and with chipotle. Will def get the rice and beans as a side next time. All in all, just get the fried tofu taco! So noms.

While I miss Sabertooth and their co-presence with Taco Party, I really do like Taco party. The flavors are interesting and not what you’re probably expecting from a typical taco. The flavor is not for everyone, my kids for example are not fans, but I am a fan. To make up for lack of Sabertooth they now make some of their own desserts. I was a fan of the cannoli and cookie sandwich.

I’ve never had vegan tacos before and was a little worried how exciting they could be, but they did not disappoint. I actually thought this place was a cute little bakery with an ironic name. They do have vegan cannolis and whoopie pies, but their thing actually IS tacos. Awesome! Give it a shot, even if you’re not vegan. Bottom line is it’s fresh and flavorful in a different way. It’s hard to tell the ingredients are vegan.

Delicious vegan tacos from a small store. Very friendly service. I tried each of the tacos available on two separate visits. They were all very good and carefully composed. I think the fried tofu was the winner in my book. The chips and guacamole were good: freshly made. It’s a small store(clean & neat) with very limited seating. In cold weather the seating area can get cold if the door is held open too long. The service was great on both occasions: the people who work there are friendly — both greeting you and wishing you a good day when you leave.

Best food in Somerville! I’m an omnivore & I love this place. You’ve got to try it! The tacos & the baked goods are equally amazing. Everything about it is perfect: the atmosphere, the service, and the music. I recommend the nachos, the seitan taco or the tempeh taco, but really you can’t go wrong. For desert try a swirl cake! Beautiful Place, beautiful food!

I just stopped in here because I saw from the window they had baked goods(I was on way to True grounds for a Mocha). I am dam glad I did! Man they make a mean chocolate chip cookie. They make other baked goods as well, but when faced with a CC cookie, i’m good. Based on their cookies, I would say their tacos are good as well, but I cannot say yet. Hence 4 stars and not 5. See you for tacos and will update my review upon that visit.

It took them about 6 months to hire anyone who could actually smile and say hello like a person. So there’s that. And people wouldn’t exactly riot if they did actual traditional tacos made vegan instead of reinventing the wheel. However, the fried tofu tacos, and sweet potato are delicious and this place is only going to get better.

Full disclaimer: I love eating meat. Never thought I’d be a regular at a vegan taco joint — but everything we have eaten here has been incredibly flavorful and fresh. Bbq jackfruit looks like pulled pork but doesn’t have much protein. It’s still super tasty. And I don’t know about you — but I hadn’t even heard of jackfruit til this place. Chimichuri tempeh is literally bursting with flavor(and feels like it has some protein). It’s also bursting with sauce. The kind that drips down your fingers and you lick it and wonder if nearby patrons find that offensive or gross… Two tacos and a side for $ 10. Great deal.(Pinto dip was our favorite side so far) The $ 4 guac and chips was nothing special and a small serving of guac(not bad, but it doesn’t hold a candle to the rest of the menu!) Nachos with cashew cheese were tasty! Cheese worked! The bottom chips had no toppings, though.(What can I say — I’m one of those people!) I haven’t asked, but I would expect that this is a scratch kitchen. I should ask. Ir maybe they should advertise as such… Small number of tables but it’s been fine so far. Free tap water. They take LevelUp. And their menu is small — but I always prefer a place to do a few things but do them really well :) Also — they occasionally have gluten free donuts. I liked the chocolate cherry one I tried. Was unlike other donuts I’ve had, but was good in its own league.

Great vegan tacos. Recommend the chorizo seitan taco. The pinto dip, which is a side order and on the nachos, is served cold, and I wouldn’t recommend either for that reason.

The actual location is on the small side but the food more than makes up for it. If you’re looking for a place to try different kinds of vegan tacos, this is it. My favorites are the chimichurri tempeh and the crispy fried tofu. Also, keep an eye out for delicious specials by checking on their Facebook page. And, don’t forget to try the doughnuts!

super cool little retro dineresque(think veggie galaxy and friendly toast) place that riffs similarly on their menu items to produce trendy, funky, tasty tacos for a low price point(~10/person for 2 tacos and a side if i recall)! they have a tiny menu as per their food truck model(which is currently hibernating because new england winters), but do visit them! you won’t be disappointed! i also had the side of chips(fresh, tasty) with bean dip(could’ve sworn that there was ranch in there, which was different. but interesting). they also have some vegan baked donuts which tasted more like dense cake, which were edible but unremarkable. i liked the idea nonetheless. the area in which this place is situated is totally the next hip happening area in somerville — i just hate to call it out because soon enough, it’ll be overgentrified and $$$$$$$$$$$. but in the meantime — i’ll be back! and it’s worth your visit as well!

I love this place so much that it is probably illegal in some Southern states. Their tacos are excellent(as many others have already said) and their nachos are a ridiculously delicious snack. They are so tasty that I have omnivore friends who love both their tacos and the baked goods that they carry.

The tacos here are great. Nearly perfect really. The tofu taco is perfectly crispy and yum. Seitan taco was spicy and flavorful. I look forward to trying the sweet potato taco. The guac was good, but way too expensive. I don’t see a point in paying 3.50 for two tablespoons of guac. Pinto dip was kind of gross, it might have been better warm. Cans of Polar seltzer are $ 2 each. Donuts were okay, but for the price there are way better vegan donuts in town. Service was surely. Taco Party tacos are tasty. I’m not against going back, but this place has some kinks to work out

I’ve eaten from the truck and the restaurant. I remember liking whatever I ordered from the truck(at SOWA). I recently visited their new location in ball square. It was good. Not too crowded. The taco I ordered was more spicy than I expected but I enjoyed it. Service is quick and friendly. Why aren’t your hours posted on your own website?

Wow, delicious! Healthy awesome food, and some of the tacos you’d never know were vegan. The owner is awesome, so is the staff. friendly and inviting and great customer service. Tried a variety of tacos which were all transcendent. Highly recommend the nachos — good and spicy, just like my attitude! Oh yeah, PS-make sure you try the peanut butter cookie — it’s unbelievable.

Well I guess this is basically the taco truck but a store front & Sabertooth bakery joined them. I guess it’s a shame they don’t have more options. I don’t like spicy so that already rules out two of the options they have. I also have issue w/tofu so that rules out another. You have to make sure that if there is anything you don’t like to tell them, but even when you do they miss mentioning how a taco has that topping although not listed on their menu. Their menu isn’t located in the best of places either. Their guacamole is tasty but funny how you have to pay extra for it. I mean who eats a taco w/out guacamole, that’s just silliness.

Went to their recently opened store front in Ball Square. Friendly staff and cute place! I had the chimichurri tempeh taco and the chorizo seitan taco. The tempeh was cooked perfectly and I liked the cashew cream but the chorizo seitan was worlds better. My favorite. GREAT flavor and I loved the chipotle sauce. My friend had the BBQ jackfruit taco– I highly recommend getting this one and the chorizo seitan if you are going to order two. The jackfruit is unique but savory and made with the perfect amount of BBQ sauce. Two tacos and a side is a good meal. I left full and satisfied. It’s a hangout type spot, nothing fancy, but laid back with quick service. We also tried the cookies and cream vegan donut from sabertooth– had to since we were there and the donuts were staring us in the face. I really liked it. I like vegan donuts because they satisfy your sweet tooth without making you feel like death after you eat one. I will be back seeing how I live in the neighborhood.

Taco Party is my new neighborhood go-to. Not because it’s great meatless food, but because it’s great food in general. And to learn that they’ve teamed up with Sabertooth Vegan Bakery? I couldn’t be more thrilled! We first had a sampling of Taco Party at Nighshift Brewing in Everett a few months ago and I’ve kept thinking about it since. The second I heard they were opening a shop in my neighborhood, I ran over the next day and was met with the same great tacos I remembered. The shop is small but colorful and full of personality. Nothing beats a great, filling, tacos lunch at under $ 10. I come from California, the land of easy to find and amazing vegan, vegetarian, anything you can dream of food, and these could easily hold their own with the best Mexican hot spots in San Francisco. The menu here is perfectly small but never boring. I like to mix and match various taco styles since I don’t have any dietary restrictions, but there are gluten-free options for those that have that concern. The regulars fillings are Chorozo Seitan, Chimichurri Tempeh, Fried Tofu, Sriracha BBQ Jackfruit, and today I saw something with Portobello… regardless, I never met a taco here that I didn’t like. I usually don’t like tempeh at all and find it to be dry and crumbly, but I tried it today and to no surprise, my opinion has changed. You certainly don’t have to be vegan or vegetarian to like these tacos regardless of what’s in them. It’s easy to forget there wasn’t meat in there to begin with really. The guac, which appears to be on the plain side with no tomatoes in sight, is flavorful, bright, and delicious. Taco Party has also teamed up with Sabertooth Vegan Bakery at this storefront, which leaves you with killer donuts, cupcakes, cookies and more to finish off your meal or to take on the go. Sabertooth’s owner, Evie, is really knocking it out of the park with her creations. We shared a mini Horchata donut(GF/Soy-Free) and a Peanut Butter Choco Chip after lunch and wow! Both were tender, moist and pillowy, without being overly sugary and too sweet. This evening I’m thinking, «I wonder how that Rootbeer donut tastes. And what about the Lemon Poppyseed cookie? Or the Hibiscus donut? And the coconut?» I just want more! Just as we were about the leave for the day, the store filled up with people and I was so happy to see this business embraced by the neighborhood as they should be. I’m not surprised. With food this good, the crowds will keep coming. Stop by and give them some love! If you’re curious about either business, walk through that door and try both. While the combo of Mexican tacos and donuts doesn’t immediately bring about those thoughts of magical food bliss, it really is a match made in heaven. This brick and mortar shop is new, so follow both businesses on social media to keep up with business hour changes and new offerings.

My friend was bugging me for weeks to try this place but I’m not a huge mexican food fan. I finally went with her and got the tofu tacos and was very pleasantly surprised. The tofu was cooked perfectly(maybe a little too fried for some people’s taste) but added an awesome crunch to the taco. The flavors of the mango salsa and garlic crème were just amazing, very fresh. The price and portions are great. This trust is definitely added to my lunch rotation.

So. Freaking. Amazing. The Taco Party truck is right near my office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the financial district. so Taco Tuesday is a weekly thing for me: D My favorite is the chimichurri tempeh taco, but all the tacos are great. Definitely try jackfruit! Ten bucks gets you two tacos plus chips and dip or rice and beans. can’t beat it. the flavors are a million times better than any crummy old boloco, sabroso, or chipotle, hands down. The tacos are also perfect every time. They know what they’re doing for sure. They also keep a big bottle of cholula, my fave :) too bad i’ll be working in the seaport soon and they won’t be nearby :(

Oh hell yea. I JUST had these tacos. I could still pick pieces from my teeth. First: JACKFRUIT! so exciting and delicious.(this taco could have used a little sauce to keep it wet but it was epicly great.) Second: Tempeh chimichurri. This had to be some of the BEST tempeh I have ever had. I’m serious. Sign me up for a lifetime supply. Third: The pinto dip for the chips is happiness. As an aside: I’m upset that I didn’t take a picture because these are so damn cute all bundled up in their box — Ah I’ll just have to go back soon. Next time I may ask them to make my 2 tacos + chips/dip for $ 10 into nachos because I just don’t like soft tacos as much. And these toppings would make BOSS nachos.

Taco party made me very excited. I loved the idea of vegetarian tacos. However their rice and beans were dry and hard which I think needs to be staple in vegetarian food. The seitan was good, not too tough. I also had a buffalo flavored taco that left something to be desired. It was an expensive lunch $ 10 for something I didn’t even finish eating. Eh. Maybe they were just having an off day but it wasn’t very delicious and needed more flavor.

I grabbed 2 tacos on a rainy work day, here’s the rundown: Was super excited to try the sweet potato taco and felt like it was kind of a letdown — don’t get me wrong I ate it all, but just felt like it could have had a better flavor/more sweet potato. I was pleasantly surprised by the tofu taco — this was a 5 star taco. Had great flavor and the tofu was cooked nicely I got a water and I noticed it said it came in a reusable water bottle… it came in a cup, that sure you could re-use… maybe they were saying you could get refills? It was 50 cents(which is a good deal I suppose, of course it could have been in a lousier cup and free). I don’t know it was just strange to me it wasn’t in a bottle. However, you could get ice, which was nice. Overall, feel neutral about the water situation. The staff were super friendly and nice. I would give taco party another try. I feel tacos should be a little cheaper, but prices seemed average for the area(financial district). I liked that the offerings were unique and they had some good flavors going on.

Delish! I went to Taco Party today for the first time with a co-worker. The women working the truck were very friendly and I love how everything is labeled on the menu(gf, contains nuts, etc). I ordered the tofu taco, the plantain taco, and a vegan pb cookie. Everything was delicious and very filling too. I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had vegan cookies because it can be really tough to find a vegan pastry in downtown Boston. Oh yeah, I’m vegan, but my co-worker is not and he enjoyed the food as much as I did.

Taco Party, you are my life now. Seriously, I finished my first Taco Party meal and immediately felt compelled to write a review. I’m vegetarian, but do try to eat vegan when I can. As a student, that can be hard sometimes. I was walking back from class and saw this magnificent truck and knew immediately that I needed to try it. They come by Chinatown every Friday from 11:30−2, which is super conveniently near Emerson’s campus. LOVE. The tacos are amazing. I had the sweet potato taco and the tofu taco with a side of rice and beans. I don’t even know how to describe them– they’re so texturally intricate and unique. For $ 10, this was pretty much the best food truck meal ever. The brown rice was cooked perfectly, and the beans had that smoky taste that we vegetarians are so often deprived of. I forgot I was eating a vegan meal, because their garlic crema and sauces were so substantial. I’ll definitely be coming back. I feel an addiction forming. They gave me a sticker. They have vegan cookies, which I have yet to try. I’ll probably be back next Friday. :)

I give these tacos 4 stars because I probably ordered them wrong. I got the Tempe Tantrum and Santanthony’s Feast and both were packed with fresh flavor. Although, there were two downsides: 1) I ordered them sans toppings or cheese(both dairy and vegan cheese available) and they were a bit dry. Some simple salsa would fix them easily. 2) Since the per-taco serving was so large, they included 2 taco shells. Don’t get me wrong the tortilla is fresh but it muted the taco taste a bit. I will definitely be back next time I spot them on the street and get my order right.
