Nice, big, clean ShopRite! Notable pluses are the hot food take out section, the natural and organics sections near entrance and the mid week discounted produce trolley.

I’m a fan of this ShopRite store. I really appreciate when a store is clean, organized, and offers a good selection of products. You can easily find what you’re looking for. Of course you’ll run into situations trying to find something new and have no idea where to look. Just a tip: try googling what aisle you can find the item in. There are times there will be info about other items that would be near it in order to help identify where to look. The produce section has quality, fresh fruit and vegetables. Always a large selection of fruit; although early on in the week they tend to run out of strawberries and berries leaving only grapes left.

I would rather drive the extra distance to Branchburg then go to this Shoprite. The younger cashiers are rude and never bag your items and when they do its with an attitude. OH how I miss Pathmark!!!

Very nice store! Always clean food is fresh and sale items always full. Workers there are helpful. the only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the entrance it’s one way in and one way out. if someone stopped in front of you it would hold up people behind you to either get in or out

This is the best Shoprite I have thus far visited. It’s huge, it’s clean, it’s got that new car smell. It has an enormous selection of prepared foods(hot and cold), it has a cigar store, a nice bakery and many other notable departments. Presumably this was built as a hedge against the nearby Wegman’s, but the good news is that it seems to be a beautiful store that still manages to provide sharp price points. Only wish we had a store of this caliber locally.

I highly recommend trying this ShopRite if you are ever in the area, especially if you are looking for more variety of natural & organic food items. This store recently opened a Nutrition Center located near the produce area. It reminds me of a similar section that you can find in Wegmans and also Deans Natural Food Market. In the Nutrition Center, they are selling some of the more common essential oils(a great add-on), as well as many non-GMO, natural, raw foods and natural-based products. They should really include in their expansion a better organic produce section. They have a request book for organic produce that they currently don’t sell, but they never look at it. And the greens sometimes appear as if they are on their last day of freshness. The store manager always seems to be in his own world and doesn’t engage much with customers. The customer service department, however, is awesome if you have any questions or concerns.

Probably my favorite shop rite in the world! Chinese food cooked fresh inside! Cold/Hot buffet! Just so big and the manager’s specials are my favorite. Got a roll of bread for $ 1 something the other day and it was originally 3 dollars!

This place has improved in terms of quality of customer service. Prices are still higher than average. But Joe in shoprite was more than happy in helping me find what I needed.

Although this is a new and recently opened store some of the employees they have there is nasty and disgusting! I give 1 star because their employees smoke and spit in the front of the store which is not sanitary and it’s very unprofessional, even the managers do the same. When you have management involved in the same distasteful behaviors, how would you expect to set an example of leadership and team morale? Which makes me question other practices in the store such as food safety and sanitation. Overall it’s a nice store with a variety to choose from, but waking down the front or side of the building will result in you stepping in someone’s disgusting spit gross!!!

ALERT: This is review on chicken wings and onion rings only: P I normally don’t think of dining in when it comes to supermarkets, but a fellow foodie told me that he liked the fried chicken at Shop Rite. Like any curious foodie I decided to look into it. The shop rite I chose was the one in Sommerville, its the best shop rite I’ve been so so far. The store’s presentation in general is pleasing and comfortable. The chicken: I found a bit bland and the chicken itself seemed dry. The onion rings however, were some of the best I’ve had and i’m comparing that to restaurants. So I would definitely go back for grocery shopping and onion rings, though I’m a bit confused about their pricing system which is based on weight since I filled one container with both chicken and onion rings. The question is: Is it a flat rate price? Should I have put them in separate containers? Is ½ lb of chicken the same price as ½ lb. of onion rings?. If you find out please let me know.

I love this store. Comparing it to other ShopRites I’ve visited… it is CLEAN, it is well stocked, and has a good selection. Since it is a «world class» one, they have hundreds of types of things that others don’t. This includes special cheeses, a Chinese food bar, specialty meals, an eat-in pizzeria(good pizza!) and exotic fruits and vegetables. Every time I’ve encountered staff either on the floor or in check out, they are super friendly. Only once did I have a problem with a young girl at the self-checkout who told us we couldn’t use it next time if we had more than 20 items. I would agree, except we were the only ones using self checkout and there are four self checkouts. No one else was even around. Otherwise, this place is amazing.

I have been to this place a number of times. The aisle width is decent but gets cramped when there are a few shoppers on either side. Since this store is a Saker Store, it has the same format as the one in Bound Brook. The store itself has a good selection of items and hot meals, however, I can’t say much about the service. If and when you ask their associates, they look at you like you have two heads when asked where an item is located. It also takes them a while to help you and they look inconvenience when you ask for help. I think more training is needed. Also, when you walk in, there are a number of guards in the entrance that need more things to do. Overall, it is a decent store. I just like Wegmans in Bridgewater. It is a whole lot better; especially when it comes to a combination of these three things: customer service, prices, and quality.
