Romanza Pizzeria & More

The pizza was nothing special and very greasy. The boneless buffalo fingers were so over cooked and unappetizing, I had to throw them out. Will not be eating here again.

Pretty much what you would expect from your neighborhood pizza place. What makes this place great is the awesome customer service and prompt delivery service. Definitely recommend!

Since moving to Somerville a few weeks ago I’ve been sampling all of my local pizza places. I think this place will become my regular. The pizza was really well cooked, I’ve found that a lot of the pizza around here is kind of floppy and not well cooked on the bottom, but this pizza was perfectly golden and didn’t fall apart when I picked it up. Plus, the service was fast and friendly and the toppings were fresh and delicious. We’ll definitely be back!

I ordered from here with my boss and everything was perfect! I had our steak tip salads delivered and was told about 30 minutes and they were there in about 20. Our salads were really good but I wished they used roman lettuce instead of iceberg but I will definitely be ordering from here again!

I always see the Romanza delivery guy at my workplace so I decided to order a large order of wing dings from them. Guy on phone was nice. Delivery seemed very fast. Driver was a nice guy and smiled. Wings were hot crispy and very good. Will order from them again to try out pizza and subs.

Romanza (or «mystic pizza» as I still call it) is a no frills neighborhood pizza and sub shop. The place has been around forever and has gone through different owners/​management, but the food has remained the same. Many Greek style items, including the pizza. The gyros are delicious and the steak and cheese is yummy. The rolls are crusty on the outside and soft on the inside. The chicken fingers are also delicious as well as their sides. The service is always friendly and they take time to get to know their regulars. There are a lot of these shops around Somerville but Romanza is one of my favorites. Don’t let the sketchy location fool you =)

Pizza, subs and calzones are all great. Never had a problem, give the BBQ chicken pizza a try it’s great.

Have never tried this place before, but they have a Turkey Roll-​Up on their menu (both print and online versions) that advertises there being stuffing and cranberry sauce in the roll-​up. I ordered here specifically because of this item, and added mayo and cheese. When my food arrived (on time, I’ll grant them that — and the driver was very friendly), I was quite disappointed to find a roll-​up with only turkey, mayo, and cheese. I called the restaurant to ask what the deal was, and was informed that the roll-​up does not come with cranberry and stuffing anymore. I pointed out that both the print and Foodler menu of theirs still advertised the roll-​up as such, and the woman who answered the phone just sort of shrugged it off — no offer to refund me for the roll-​up or send over something else. I will not be ordering from here again…

Got delivery pizza from Romanzo. There is nothing wrong with the people but the pizza was less than stellar. They use canned mushrooms. Yuck! I like my toppings fresh. I didn’t like the crust either. The crust is too dense and a little bland.

Romanza pizza they used to be great! Had great food and great service. Today I got the NASTIEST pizza I have ever tasted in my life. I called and I didn’t even want a refund I just wanted a GOOD pizza. Not only was the gentleman EXTREMELY RUDE but insulting as well to a customer that usually orders once a week and spends at least $ 30.00 every time. I wouldn’t have fed your pizza to a homeless person on the street in fear that it would make them as sick as it made me. You won’t be getting my business anymore! There are plenty of other places that have decent pizza in my area! It’s a shame the way you treat regular customers. The pizza you sent belongs at the bottom of the Mystic River.

I work close by so i use them to oder lunch sometimes. Great pizza and great service. Never had a bad meal from them.

We’ve tried lots of the pizza joints in the area, but so far, this one has been the best. The pizza is cooked to perfection and is nice and firm, and holds up when you pick it up. The toppings are the standard selection, and the specialty pizza options sound good, though we got a single topping.
I ordered a gyro dinner, and the fries were possibly the devil incarnate. I couldn’t step away. The fries were super crisp on the outside and mashed potato soft on the inside. Devil fries. The cole slaw was too sweet for me, but Jesse likes sweet slaw, and he really liked it. My gyro was loaded with tomatoes, shredded lettuce, onion, tzatziki, and the meat tasted like a blend of lamb and beef. It was nice and moist. I would have preferred a touch more of garlic and cucumber in the sauce, but other than that, it was really good.
Also, they offer a SIX FOOT steak and cheese. It’s listed as a special, so it doesn’t even sound like it’s something you need to order in advance, but I probably would call ahead to be sure. It’s $ 35, FYI.
The service was really pleasant on the phone, as was the delivery, and that right there makes me want to order again.
