My name is Morgan and I offer violin, viola and composition lessons to students of all ages and walks of life. I’ve been teaching in the community for 7 years now and have taught all around Boston. My teaching philosophy is a careful balance between fun and discipline. I can help you improve your skills and we will have fun doing it. All ages and skill levels are welcome.
History
Established in 2006.
Violinist Morgan Evans-Weiler, a native of Michigan, is an active teacher and performer in the Boston area. He maintains a large private studio of students from 4 — 60 years old and teaches an array of styles from classical and jazz to folk, tango and experimental styles. Morgan received his Bachelors Degree from Western Michigan University with a double degree in Violin Performance and Composition. He studied further at Longy School of Music in Cambridge, Massachusetts and Schlern International Music Festival in Vols am Schlern, Italy.
He teaches his private studio at Mass Ave Music in Cambridge. He also travels to students homes in the Cambridge/Somerville area for lessons.
He has also taught at Onset School of Music, Cambridge Center for Adult Education, Pope John Paul Academies, Boston Teachers Union Pilot School.
He is a certified Suzuki teacher through the Suzuki Association of Americas and has also studied with Donald Becker of the Suzuki Institute of Boston.
