Fun for Rainey day for the kids! Couple different activities. 4 year old, 7 year old had a blast. A lot less crowded than I thought it would be for a super Rainey Memorial Day! Basic snack options, when seating filled they opened another area. The one thing that impressed me the most, wish I saw him name Is the manager was actually monitoring the play area and kicking out the big kids who were knocking down little kids where adults can’t get to them (previous trip we had this issue with no help from management) overall fun day!

Came here so my lil girl would have some «kid» time on our otherwise «grown-​up» trip to MA. ‘Understimulating’, ‘underwhelming’, boring, experience. I would definitely NOT recommend this place to ppl visiting from out of town. Staff SUCKS to say the least. Rude, unprofessional, inefficient employees. They’re definitely NOT kid friendly. Few made eye contact, and when speaking to my daughter they were ineffective as they made demands rather than suggestions. When I would interject and ask ‘why’ they would respond in the same tone. Overall, very unfriendly. The play areas are small and not much to do or build, only 2 very BORING rides, and my daughter asked early on if we could go somewhere else. Maybe an «ok» place to go on a cold rainy day for lil ones to blow off steam, but def would NOT recommend this place. The customer service itself deserves ZERO stars.

When we first came it was great. Now they advertised a new Space area. So disappointed! It was just a room off the already disappointing Ninjago area. If you’re going to advertise something new and exciting make it at least ride sized not a room.

This place is a rip off. It is tiny, a total mess and there is almost no staff anywhere. People also just let their kids run wild like its a drop off so they don’t have to do anything. You couldn’t pay me enough to come back to this hell hole

All these other reviews had me thinking what was so wrong with this place? Come to find out nothing i brought my 12 year old daughter and 4 year old son. We had a BLAST! Cute rides and fun things to see! We didnt eat there instead went out to lunch at one of the many restaurants in the area. Of course kids are going be loud and if you do your research you will know know this isnt legoland Ca Or Florida! Its a Fun day out with kids i paid $ 44 for 3 of us you have to search for a deal! Thanks Legoland we will be back!

This place is really loud and my 5 yr old wanted to leave before we even got in. There was direction about lining up to get in. It was just ok and if I did not have the coupon to get the kids in free then it would have been one star. We managed to make a day of it but it was $ 46 for the 4 of us.
The lunch prices were not bad. My daughter had a ham and cheese sandwich fruit cup and juice box for $ 5., but that would not have fed an older kid.
I have celiac disease and you are asked not to bring in yor own food. (I am assuming bc of peanut allergies.) there was nothing for me to eat. I had carrot sticks and a teaspoon of hummus bought there. They did have a gluten free brownie. I asked about salads bc it said «salad» on the shelf but they did not have any salads. If your child has celiac disease I would avoid meal times.
The gift shop had junk in it. Lots and lots of $ 8 key chains and a few of the expensive sets. The selves were literly bare the day we were there. My husband and I were actually willing to buy a $ 20 to 30 dollar Lego set, but there was nothing. We will go to target and buy one for the kids.

This is an unpleasantly small venue with very few attractions and not worth the expense. From the start, we spent 20 minutes waiting in line although we purchased tickets ahead of time. Once inside, the lines are long for so-​so attractions. At the exit, there’s a Lego store, but I’ve seen better Lego set selections in the Natick Mall and Target. This place is not for Lego afficionados. There are no Lego Mindstorm exhibits or anything really for children who have done many of the advanced sets.
Many parents were visibly annoyed, and frankly this poorly executed place detracts from the Lego brand. Boston area parents are accostumed to bringing their children to top-​notch museums and activities such as the Museum of Science, the Children’s Museum, and the New England Aquarium. Although the cost of this place is similar to these other institutions, the value pales in comparison.
Use your money to buy a nice Lego set instead. It will keep your children busy and you won’t have to put yourself through visiting this place.

Just ok. My 8 year old and 3 year old really liked it, as this is a good place to go for kids to blow off steam. It’s underwhelming when you first walk in, as there are only really two rides, but my kids found a lot of different ways to have fun in the Lego building and playground areas. We spent the whole day and they had fun, but don’t expect a ton to engage parents.
I have a child with multiple disabilities that didn’t go, And I do not feel the Discovery Center would be a good place for her. Everything is wheelchair accessible except for the playgrounds, but the overall is experience is very loud and frantic, which would be challenging for kids with sensory or social disabilities.
The food was poor quality, and there is not any hot food. There are only snacks, pre made sandwiches and salads. They didn’t seem to care that I brought my own food in even though you aren’t supposed to.
I was most disappointed in the staff. Mostly young college students that do not seem trained well in how to run the place effeciently or in customer service. The lines to enter are long, and pre-​purchasing tickets online puts you in the same line as people buying their tickets at the center. This frustrated us a lot, as I would have expected to get in quicker having planned ahead. Customer service in the center was poor as well. Staff could be friendlier and could be trained to work better with children.

Completely underwhelming experience. Exorbitantly expensive (even with the free kid pass we had for our toddler), and just pretty lame. Granted, our daughter doesn’t do these kind of «kid destination» things very often, she does love playing with DUPLOs. I wish I had read these reviews before we forked over $ 50.
Maybe it’s better for older kids, but I would save your cash and do NOT go with a kid under 4 or 5.

Conclusion first:
All-​in-​all, given what I know about the high standards of the Lego company, I was surprised by the mediocre experience. Two things could help the existing attraction immediately: 1) A more transparent ticketing process, 2) A better trained and more attentive staff. Our kids enjoyed it, but I don’t see any reason to return. I’m completely dumbfounded by the «annual pass» option… what about this place would make some one want to come back again and again? If you and your kids think Legos are cool, it’s worth one visit.
Want the long story?
I tried to buy the «saver» $ 15 tickets through the LegoLand site. But try to checkout with them… it becomes a game of «just try to find them.» Apparently they use a form of demand pricing… they find the most popular times, and charge significantly more than the least popular times. But you only find this out once in the checkout process. So for my family of two adults and 3 children, was this visit worth $ 100? Let’s find out.
After circling the Assembly Row parking lot for 10 minutes trying to find a spot at 2:30pm on a Saturday we walked over. This was our first time at Assembly Row and they’ve done a nice job with the area.
We find LegoLand, and there’s a line out the door. The only visible line choices are Annual Pass and Buy your Ticket lines… the line for those of us who bought online is completely obscured all the way to the left. The line was empty, and only after waiting for five minutes did an employee come up and tell people about the line, and ¹⁄₃^rd or more of the line moved into that line. Then we stood there as one of the three employees ran the check-​in process, while two check in stations went unused, and two employees broke down cardboard boxes instead of helping the line of customers going out the door.
Once we’re in, we ride up the elevator to the room where you walk through the first couple of sections of the attraction as a small group. Except none of the customers had any idea what to do, and the explanation was poor, eventually we noticed we were supposed to be paying attention to TVs with animated Lego minifigs were explaining we were going to «visit the factory»… and we proceeded into the exhibit where we watched a video of the factory and «built» our own minifigs. After that, we got into another line to take the ride. At each step the experience was degraded by the fact that none of the visitors knew what we were doing, or why we were in line. The ride was cute, but again, no one explained anything. (Future visitors, pickup the laser guns and shoot things with targets.)
Then you’re let off the ride… and again… no one to guide you. There’s a cash register… they’d be happy to sell you a picture of you on the ride for $ 20, or more! Pass. At this point you’re done with the structured part. You’re at the big gallery with a huge room of Boston landmarks built in Lego. For the adults at least, this is easily the best part of the LegoLand. Truly cool.
Then you wander around to various sections, there’s another ride, a couple different little sections for the kids to build stuff, there’s a jungle-​gym like area, and a «4D Movie Experience». Having no idea what that actually is, we passed, since 3D movies make us nauseous. We waited in a ten minute line for my kids to run through this ten-​foot long laser thing that’s tangentially related to Ninjago. Again, no idea what we’re waiting for and… while those ten feet were pretty cool, it was a let down that it was… ten feet long.
We spent about 2.5hrs there altogether, and on the way out, stopped in the gift shop. Again, I thought it’d be better. I don’t think it was a much better selection than a Target store. A few unique things in it. I figured the prices would be jacked up, but they appeared MSRP.
Our kids enjoyed it (we, the adults didn’t think it was terrible, either) but we don’t see any reason to return. Honestly, I was hoping we would!

I’m sure my 7 year old would give them 5 stars but he wasn’t the one paying the $ 80 for the 4 of us to get in!
Legoland Discovery Center was a bit underwhelming especially considering the price. With a AAA discount it worked out to $ 20 a head. My wife, son & his 8 year old cousin were there on a Saturday afternoon.
All the staff were super friendly & helpful which helps but for the price there should be a lot more to do. It’s a glorified Lego store. Everything is hands on & there’s 2 rides but that’s about it.
They offer food but we ate before we came so I can’t comment on it. I’d lean more towards 3 stars but the kids loved it & that’s what matters. Wish the admission price was cheaper but I’m rounding up to 4 stars because of the good time we had.

Um. Glad I got to explore for free, otherwise I’d be pissed. It’s super small and lame, like even if I were 5 I’d not be impressed. When I think Lego land I think of something worth rivaling Disney land. This was on par with a library. Actually the library might win.

Wow, this place is much bigger than expected based on the tiny storefront. What’s inside, you ask?
Motorized rides? Check!
4D Theater? Check!
Incredible Lego replicas of downtown Boston? Check!
I went for one of the monthly «Adult-​only» nights from 7−9PM. If you’re an adult, I would definitely recommend taking advantage of these nights as I imagine with kids this place could be super crowded and you’d never get a turn on the rides.
I could have spent hours looking at MiniLand: the perfectly replicated (and interactive) scenes of Boston including Fenway Park, The Prudential Center, Logan Airport, the harbor, and so much more, but since we had a 2 hour time limit I allowed myself only a few «oohs» and «ahhhs» before exploring the rest of Legoland.
The highlights are definitely the Merlin’s Apprentice ride (you go higher if you pedal more), the Kingdom Quest Laser ride where you go into a tunnel and shoot at skeletons and spiders, and the 4D theater that shows 3 different 10 minute movies. The one we saw included flashing lights, lots of wind, rain (semi-​heavy in certain seats depending on where the sprinkler heads are located – keep your phone and any papers you might weirdly have with you protected!), and even snow! Honorable mention: the ninja section with the laser quest walk through game.
The theme of this particular adult night was «Casino» and as such there were a few game stations (bingo, blackjack and brick-​building contests) scattered throughout the land. If you succeeded, you could win raffle tickets which you could use to enter to win various prizes (free tickets to another adult night, a smallish lego model built based on the theme of the night, and an expensive looking model kit). The theme was definitely taken loosely – only a few small signs explained what and where the «casino» games were, and it was very informal. There is a cash bar if you want adult beverages. While this event didn’t seem totally organized to fit the theme, the staff was very nice.
Overall, this is a very fun one-​time event. I think I would definitely run out of things to do after 3 hours there, but for 2 hours, it seems jam packed with activities! Cool date night idea alert!

I loved our morning at Legoland. We just got in from Chicago and this place was awesome. Great parking… great FREE parking and plenty to do around the building. This center was very clean and some of the pieces were still wet from sanitizer. It got very busy when we were about to leave.
***Search Groupon for a purchase that is very discounted and offers priority /​no wait entrance. ;)

You have to go in with the expectations that this is a very high end play center, and not an amusement park per se like the actual legoland parks. Once you do that you’ll have a great time. Everything is very high end and polished. The rides are great, if only two of them. The food (more like snacks; don’t expect any hot food) has many healthy options. The mini Boston is incredible though my 6 year old could care less.
There was enough there to keep him busy for a few hours. It also makes for nice pictures.
The downside? It’s quite expensive for what you get. You can go to Canobie Lake Park for a day and get FAR more fun and much better rides for nearly the same cost. But if you’re a city dweller, or it’s the dead of winter, you’ll love this little escape. Just be prepared to pay.
Assembly row is a very nice shopping area too.

Think it’s slightly overrated and pricey for what they offer. However, our nieces had a great time. Guess that’s what really matters at the end of the day.

Lego introduction room — you enter this room once you get off the entrance elevator. Think the whole purpose is to control the flow of people into the main areas.
Ninjago laser room — they should have an attendant manning the station — it was pretty chaotic.

Took my 6 year old niece here with my husband, and we had a lot of fun. It can be expensive and crowded here, and the beginning of the experience is a bit rushed and frantic, but once you get to the main area, you can go at your own pace, and we had a lot of fun. I can see how a membership would be nice if you are a big fan of Lego and want to try different activities.
The experience begins walking through the Giant Lego Figure Arch and taking an obligatory souvenir photo. From there, you take an elevator upstairs where you are whisked away into a computer room to design figures. Next, you jump on the amusement ride to save the princess, before being deposited into the room with amazing Lego models of Boston sites. Once you hit this area, you can take your time and hit up the areas as you see fit.
Inside the main area you will find: 2 different 4D movies that were really cold and wet, 1 sorcery flat ride, the ninja skills testing area, duplo blocks for little ones, a cute pink house for free building, a car racers section, and a run-​around maze area. They also have a classroom for scheduled lessons on building smaller models, and on the day we went a sweet teacher helped the class make a parrot. Lastly, you can watch the master builder at work, have a snack at their café, or celebrate a birthday in one of their 2 birthday party rooms.

Brought my niece and nephew here for a Birthday Party. Overall they had a blast.
We were brought to the party room upon our arrival. It was pretty small. You get the room for about an hour and a half before the kids go off. Each child receives a Lego set with the premium birthday package. It was made for 6+ so it was a little difficult for a 2 and 4 year old to assemble. I don’t believe you get a choice.
What was disappointing for the birthday boy’s family was the cake. A medium was ordered and could not serve an entire party. They stated they called and asked for the size dimensions but everyone they spoke to could not give them one. Pictures could also not be provided. They gave them a runaround about how they don’t make the cakes, that they order from an outside vendor and did not have the info. They also said that they did not have the vendors phone number. Really? Then how do you order cakes?
The establishment itself is not that big. I was informed this Legoland was smaller than the Florida and California locations. None the less, it was still enjoyable. The quest laser ride was awesome! I think I even had more fun than the kids! My nephew loved the merlins ride. Kids have to be at least 3 feet to ride with an adult. The 4D movie was great too! Action packed with wind, rain, and snow! The ninja game was fun too. Walk thru lasers without touching them! The maze was a good time for them as well. Bring socks since it requires shoes off.
Food is overpriced here, so I suggest you grab a bite before you go since the kids won’t want to leave. I think we stayed over 3 hours! Parking is free but you should bring a stroller for the toddlers depending on where you park.

Blah… my son has been wanting to go here for about six months now. We buy tickets online for a certain time slot. There are three different lines and we are waiting… waiting… waiting meanwhile, the walkin line seem to be getting smaller maybe because they are paying more?
Anywho they let us on the elevator with others who are just as confused about where to go. I didn’t expect it to be so small. the exhibition tables had us scrambling to find pieces, or wait until someone was bored enough to move on. The movie was great. One more thing would be staffing. They did NoT look happy to be there! and it showed in how they presented themselves and when they interacted with the children. My son had fun. When asked if he wanted to go back he said «ehhhh maybe» this is coming from a 4yr whose room floor is a lego hazard.
