Very cool way for restauranteurs to try out concepts. We came here to try Mexican tamales and ponche(fruit tea). Very good, and a cool option to have — sort of like a hacker space for chefs.

What is Kitchen inc? Why, it’s a shared use catering kitchen. Umm, what is that? Ah, well, it’s a place where a small number of food related businesses share a certified kitchen space in a way that is both noninvasive to the separate businesses and supports and monetizes the space. Yup. Pretty awesome. A shared use food making space like Kitchen inc is such a recent idea that it is all still under construction, both in the physical space, and in the system structure. There is a sore need for kitchens that can be used by small food businesses, like caterers, or jam makers, or bakers. Sadly, there are few kitchens, and Kitchen Inc is the first and only of its kind in the area. My hope is that suddenly lots of people with money are going to realize that it is not impossible to build a shared use space and someone will build one for gluten free bakers, and one for raw food, and one for vegans and one for butchers and so on. Right now there is space at Kitchen inc only for occasional users. If you are looking for a place to cook and throw a party, or conduct a class, definitely get in touch through the website. Hooray for shared use kitchens! Hip hip hoorah!
