Super Stop & Shop

Produce selection is horrible, half is either already wilted/​spoiled or goes bad after 1 day. Bought chicken breast from here and had to throw it away after peeling off a sticker above another sticker that said the chicken sell by date had past. They don’t have kale. Staff is rude. Their «random audit process» when you use the self checkout scan gun is far from random. I get audited EVERY single time I go. Maybe because I am young? Everyone knows young people are all shoplifters after all. Never coming here again, I would rather make the 20 minute drive to Wegmans in Woodbridge than come here even for one item.

Open late & has a Red Box inside for DVD rentals.
Typically shopping area, with a decent fresh food section and an entire aisle for healthier options. Not to mention a good supply of supplemental supplies for those who workout or are simply looking for increased vitamin intake.

Much less hectic environment and ample parking when compared to nearby Shop Rites, so I’ll opt to go here when I’m in a rush. Their sushi is delicious and always fresh, reasonably priced!

I love you Stop and Shop. You always have what I need, and I can scan my entire order with my iPhone app.
Now, I don’t even have to go inside! Order groceries online, and pick them up at the pickup parking spots. Nice people bring your order out even in the cold, and put it in your trunk all without an extra fee! Considering that I dislike shopping when it’s busy, the pick up option is awesome.
Great deals when Rutgers semesters start too.

This is the grocery store my wife and I come to every week. By far, this place has the best red delicious apples I have ever had. They are always crunchy and sweet. I have never gotten a bad one. Good selection of everything, but if you like apples, buy them here.

Selection is pretty good and there are usually enough registers open. I prefer to go to the self checkouts (they have like 4 – 5 lanes of those). Never really been stuck in line here. It does seem a bit pricey but I think everything is getting expensive nowadays. I don’t go to Shoprite/​Pathmark enough to be able to compare.

Seriously… Are you kidding… WAY over priced, minimal selections and just plain horrid produce.
The best thing about this store is the selection of Turkey Hill Tea but as far as eggs (Brown free range) heavy whhipping cream FUHGETABOUTIT.

Love this stop n shop. Huge variety of food products. They have like 6 self check out lanes which is great unless you are stuck behind a person who DOESNT KNOW how to use self check out. Please people its not a good idea to learn self checkout when the line is long and busy. Maybe if you are the only one at the store you can give it a shot. And not when you have a million things in you cart and u have no clue what self checkout is.
Please try to avoid 5p to 7p times. Everyone and their mamas are there shopping. Its for your own good. You can go around 9 to 10 ish so you have the place for yourself. They have redbox inside for movies as well.
They also have pnc bank inside

It’s not hard to guess why this place is called the Super Stop & Shop.
The store is clean, well organized, and well stocked. The checkout lanes are fast, and the express ones even let you in if you have 13 items! They also do that thing where if you don’t have a Stop&Shop card, they will give you the deals anyway.
They also have lots of the other supermarkets in the area don’t: Boston Market Homestyle soups are great, fresh salad bar and cold-​cuts, and the biggest cheese section i’veever seen in a supermarket.
Aside from food, they also have the biggest selection of house-​ware this side of Target and Walmart.
Plus, they have one of those booths where you stand inside and try to grab the dollar bills flying around. You can win 50 bucks if you beat the current high score!
Well worth the extra u-​turn if you are coming from Rutgers…
