Homewood Suites by Hilton Somerset

For dog owners this place rocks. Request a room downstairs and in the back. Privacy, easy access and comfort for your pups and you!!! Courtyard walking area or grassy access for pups. Parking was close for carrying my gear and theirs.
The room itself was clean, well appointed and BIG!!! Two huge TV’s, FULL size apartment kitchen. Privacy doors to the bedroom and lavatory area which has a walk-​in closet, vanity and glass enclosed shower.

I’m going to have to give this hotel 4 stars because they really do make you feel at home. The staff is very helpful and professional and it was a very clean hotel. I stayed in the queen studio suite and it was a very comfortable place for a couple. It had a small kitchen, a couch, a flatscreen tv, a comfortable queen size bed, and a clean bathroom. Loved the complimentary popcorn in the kitchen! An indoor pool and jacuzzi were available to use but we didn’t get a chance to check it out. They had breakfast that was included for a few hours in the morning but it ends at 10am. It wasn’t the best breakfast I will say, but it was free and it was convenient.

Great hotel! Just recently stayed in a bunch of Marriott hotels, and staying a Hilton was a very nice change!
The service was very good. Friendly AND competent.
The rooms are very nice, and the food is good as well.

Did not know much about this kind of hotel… extended stay. However, have I had my eyes opened. From the first tour with the manager, Eric… who was so kind to show us around when were looking for a place to stay, it has been really unbelievable. Like a home away from home. We stay in a nice one bedroom, very quiet, fully furnished with kitchen, microwave, frig w/​ice maker, toaster, garbage disposal, etc Two large TVs, one in bedroom and one in living area. Couch pulls out, extra linen etc. Now all the little nice touches, microwave popcorn left in room, pots/​pans, coffee, etc… how cool is that. But we never use the room coffee since the coffee they provide in dining area available all time is so good, can’t stop drinking it. Speaking of dining, did I mention the dinners… Monday to Thursday. Really good, changes each night, beer or wine, great fresh salad and fruit. Great breakfasts as well… fresh blueberries, etc. All included in the night’s stay price. Also indoor pool and hot tub, outside basketball hoop.
Now for the Employees… The Gen. Manager, Eric, and Kelly the assist. Manager are great and totally accommodating. Front desk staff… are all great. Fletcher and Ryan who prepare and deliver the meals are wonderful and do an amazing job, as is Arnie who oversees room staff and hands out the alcohol! All are friendly, so pleasant you really think of this place as your home.
Ps. Before I actual got this published, we got 4 inches of snow, and Eric the Gen. Manager when out and cleaned off all the cars in the Parking Lot in the morning. and it was a lot of cars! Amazing and above and beyond. The place is great.

I was very pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Surrounded by some thoroughly unremarkable and entirely forgettable establishments, the Homewood has very comfortable suites that are clean and well kept. The included breakfast and dinner makes this ideal for business travelers that want to spend less time out-​and-​about and more time with their feet up relaxing. The service was friendly and came with more smiles than expected, and I will definitely book a room here on my next trip through the area.

Great place if you get a room on 4^th floor. If not and you have some one above you your room will sound like there is a elephant walking above you.
However the front desk takes good care of you and gets right on it and has the people stop making noise or they kick them out kudos to the hotel management.
They are constantly leaving little treats attached to your doorknob and surprises for you to find when you come back to your room it’s a very warm feeling and a awesome friendly hotel to be at.
The beds are super comfy in there the nicest rooms in New Brunswick or New Jersey area to stay at.

Very well kept hotel. Everything is clean and everything looks new.
The rooms were a good size. Nice size bed. It was definitely comfortable. The toilet and shower share a room and the sink is right outside of it. Convenient since the mirror is over the sink.
Ironing board and iron in the closet. Along with extra blankets. There is a coffee machine, toaster, silver wear, plates, bowls, microwave, refrigerator, stove, and popcorn.
The pool is pretty small so it probably gets full when a lot of people are in the hotel. The basketball court is not the real size of a half court. The elevator is brand new and a decent speed. Stairs are all the way at the end of one hallway. A lot of exits so your room is easy to access from the parking lot. Key needed to enter building after a certain time. Very nice front desk people.
Star off because the breakfast was horrible. The bagels looked like they were mushed. There was watery oatmeal, the milk in the silver pitchers was room temperature, the eggs in the warming pan looked like were sitting out there for a long time. They have fruit. I had a toasted bagel with garden vegetable cream cheese. They offer pear and mint water at the front desk. I think it’s pear and mint. It was delicious.
If you need a shower cap they have at the front desk. They have a mini store for small things that one might need.
When asked what is to do around this area, she answered New Brunswick. Very nice staff and great place to stay !

This hotel is a newish all suite hotel on Pierce Street. The one bedroom we stayed in looked exactly like the photos shared by others below. It had a separate bedroom with a separate bathroom plus a sitting room, kitchen and table area combination. Doors separate the three rooms. The kitchen has a full fridge and an eating table. There is granite on the bathroom sink area, a full closet, and drawers for belongings. It has a very inviting feel and is clean.
Stayed here to be close to a venue nearby. It was a comfortable hotel tucked out of the way. I found it to a better choice than a nearby hotel I spent lots of time at. There isn’t much to walk to so definitely need a car to get around. The feel is relaxation. On the outskirts but close to everything you need.
The hotel has an indoor pool (large and fun), a breakfast area (adequate and convienient), and a fitness room (a plus). There are carts to load your belongings (helpful). The staff was friendly.
The small lobby is not as inviting as some but not bad. The hotel has the front entrance and then two side ones for key holders so you can come and go close to your room. Parking is a premium at night on the weekends but otherwise easy when people come and go.
Overall I paid regular price and it was worth it. It a great experience and I would choose it again.

My wife, baby girl, and I stayed her on a recent trip. It’s a very nice hotel.
One of the great things about Homewood is they have a little kitchen. We didn’t make much use of it, other than the refrigerator, but it’s a real nice perk.
The service was real good, everyone was super friendly.
They have a real nice indoor pool. Another amenity we did not get to take advantage of since our stay was so short.
Also, free buffet breakfast in the AM. It’s not the largest of buffets, but it’s hard to go wrong with free. They had eggs, ham, home fries, fruits, yogurts, muffins, bagels and more. And, the kicker, is they have a waffle maker where you can make your own waffles fresh on the spot.
All in all, the stay, while short, was very nice. I will be paying closer attention to Homewood suites on future trips.

Clean, modern Homewood Suites tucked somewhat out of the way. Not much in the way walking distance so best as a business hotel. Usual comfy Hilton beds. Window cracks opens only about 2 inches guess so they won’t lose any guests :)
Have tried DoubleTree and Hampton Inn in the area and both are tired, so prefer this hotel. Friendly and warm staff.
For a simple dinner after Hotel happy hours, check out nearby Piazza Orsillo. Fine example of a family-​run New Jersey pizzeria.

I stayed at the Homewood Suites while in town for an interview. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my experience.
I pulled up outside the main entrance at 11pm after sitting on a long flight, picking up a rental car that ended up costing $ 100 more than the «estimate» provided online (sigh, I will get you one day Dollar Rent-​A-​Car!), and driving an hour in light snow. Everything about this hotel looked clean and new. The lobby was spacious, warm, and inviting. The first thing I saw when I walked in was a lit gas fireplace.
The person who checked me in was very pleasant, and the process was fast and easy. My suite was AMAZING. It had a great kitchen with a stove top, refrigerator, microwave, and a dishwasher. There was a little eating area (table and chairs), a couch, and a huge flat screen TV. They have free Wi-​Fi, which came in handy for looking up area information on my laptop. There is a little fitness room with new equipment (treadmill, etc) in working order, which I used to do some cardio and yoga.
The hotel is convenient to the Rutgers campus and area shopping centers. I would definitely stay here again and recommend this hotel to anyone visiting the Somerset/​Piscataway/​New Brunswick area.
