Colonial Park Horticulture

First off let me say I absolutely love this park. I grew up at this park. This park has changed. They updated the playground equipment. Its pretty nice for the kids and kids of all ages. I first introduced this park to my daughter when she was a baby. She calls it the Rainbow slide park. why might you ask well they use to have a slide that was spiral and rainbow colors. Cant forget the old school tire swing. Well needless to say as disappointing as she is that its no longer there. She love the monkey bars they put in and a few other things to climb on.
Some other features about this park that some might not know is that there is a Dog park and a Rose Garden. When i say Rose I mean like over 50 varieties. But wait cant forget the paddle boats. There still kicking unlike the mini golf they had right by it.
If you love kite flying this place is for you. huge I mean huge open fields to fly and watch your kite sore. but there is more you can fly your remote control helicopters and planes and just have fun.
Its right by a golf course and they added soccer nets. come check it out.

We live near the park; our favorite walk is thru the Perennial Garden. Many acres of gardens and trees. Lots of ideas which can translate to your yard on a smaller scale.
